*tentatively throws it out there* First art post... hoping to get some feedback. This is intentionally supposed to look like Mike Mignola's work, and is based on the original happening of Sweeney Todd (to sum: barber who killed people then gave them to a lady to sell in meat pies) Had a model for Sweeney and the razor. Scanner ate it a bit. Thoughts? Should I give it a go at comp-coloring?

I don't know. I am not a fan of the style, but thats just a personal problem.
Seems all good. Although sweeny Todd should have a MOUSTACHE!
And naw, I don't think you should color it. The B&W ups the creepy factor :b

like TNINS, I'm not really a fan of the style, but as for content, it's pretty good. I think you should add in some bloodddd. Haha. Well, maybe.

Big empty space in top left hand corner = Bad
The funked out skeleton puts it off balance.
Give Pi Now. And MOUSTACHE!~!!!

As others have mentioned, the composition needs a bit of work, but I suck at that kind of thing so I'm not sure what advice to offer. sweatdrop
I'm digging the style, but I also think you should leave it black and white. The sharpness adds an element of being caught by surprise, y'know?

this is a really incredible piece. it would make a great magazine cover/poster but it looks good by itself. it also reads well from a distance, which is more than i can say for most of my work.
the only thing that bothers me is that one hand is bigger than the other.
velcome!

Curses! You're right about the hand! gonk
Dittos for the composition... trying to do a 'wheeee, negative space" that turned into "Crap, I don't have time to do anything there anyways!" Probably should have done more wall-type stuff. Someday I will have Mignola design sense.... someday. stare
And just so you know, the skeleton DOES extend, end, and have a bit more black space on the right side, the scanner just couldn't fit it and I was too pissed at the silly thing to go back and change it once I finally got a scan that hadn't been horribly chopped in half. Damnable technology.
*Passes out meat pies (people flavor!) for EVERYBODY! And makes moustaches out of scotch tape and spair hair clippings.*

I think the one thing I don't like about your piece is the overly detailed lines everywhere. (... I'm so vague.)
My art teacher told me that, basically, the only places where you can really see texture are where light transitions to dark. I think that, while the detail you put in the bricks is admirable, it might be topping off the pie with a little too much cream (stealing a quote from Simon, here. XD) I'm get rid of some of the lines to emphasize the others, and to give it a more realistic air.
And the hands didn't bother me until I read Mina's comment. XD
And don't do a comp-coloring. The blacks and whites are gorgeous. *3*
