A rabbit drops near an elephant skull, but the adult hyena skips his catch and just flops down beside it, yawning widely showing his red tainted teeth. It haden't been long sense he'd fought with the Maziko Pride Queen, Ishara, but he didn't really know who she was, besides 'That lioness that got on my nerves'. His fur was still blood and mud matted with her blood, he haden't gotten many injuries in the battle, the worst was one on his shoulder, but the little blood he lost would probably be nothing comparing to his opponent.
The hyena's white muzzle and chest could now be considered a muddy red, and his jaws where rather tired from the biting, sense one or two were from rather odd angles. Lazily, he nips at the rabit, grabbing a leg and pulling it onto his legs, before tugging at skin to open up to the flesh.

A few paces down from where the bloody hyena and his kill lay, a small, black nose twitched intently. Following that nose emerged a light grey head, followed by the rest of a tiny puppy's body. Mabozi, prince of the Hyena pack had seemingly been intrigued by the smell of blood, luring him out of his den. After taking a few steps out of the cave, he whipped around and bolted back in, running to his mother.
"MAMA! MAAAAAAMAAAA! Hurry--Ma! Some guy out there! MA!"
The cold, aqua eyes of a grouchy mother hyena slowly peered open. It was none other than the little pup's mother, Mafa. The pup's high pitched voice was ringing in her ears as he yelled at her to wake up. Suddenly, Mafa's eyes snapped open, as did her mouth.
"SHUT THE HELL UP YOU LITTLE HEATHEN!"
Mafa was face to face with her son, absolutely fuming with anger, but he wasn't fazed by it in the least. The pup simply grinned stupidly and trotted to the mouth of the skull.
"Ugh, fine, we'll go see Mabozi, but you control yourself"
"YESSSSMAAM!"
Mafa trotted slowly out the den, followed by her pup, and slowly but surely made her advance on Tibuka. As she spotted him, she stopped, gazing at the bloody underling,
"What happened to you?"
As Mafa spoke, Mabozi darted between her legs, giving a wide eyed stare at the brown hyena.

Oh, the thing grew. And it kept screaming, how beautifull.
Tibuka recognized the pup, and his ears folded back in disgust to its squeals. Soon Mafa was at the scene too, and he sighs, no really feeling like explaining things, but he coulden't ignore the alpha lady, huh?
"Y'know that lioness that showed up when he came? "
He motions to the pup, unable to ecall his name, though being carefull not to mention the dead daughter.
"Beat her good. Barely any o' this is mine. "
Despite his voice not betraying his pride, it was tired and lazy, first he'd hunted solo, wich was rather hard for a hyena, then fought, and still hav to make the jorney back-- sosotired. The muddycolore dhyena stretches out tired limbs, as if to get up, but instead, he just recoils again, looking n his alpha's direction.

A deep, cruel smile rose to Mafa lips, her eyes narrowing as her head rose in pride. She eyed his injuried carefully, it was nothing he wouldn't recover from and his scars would only help to tell his story, and boost his fame with Mafa.
"Excellent Tibuka, excellent. The black and white one, I don't know her name, but she's the queen of the lions back there. You've done your pack proud"
She lowered her head slightly, still showing dominance over the muddy hyena, but too, showing respect for his accomplishments. Tearing up a lion was a sure fire way to get on her good side. With that thought, Mafa set a paw on Mabozi's back, setting the wide-eyed pup infront of Tibuka,
"This is Mabozi, my good for nothing son. Mabozi you mutt, be nice to your new play mate"
"WOOOOAAH! 'E's grea'!"
Mabozi pounced over to Tibuka, landing on the big hyena's back. Mabozi would grow to be enormous, but at a month old, he barely weighed enough to disturb the brown hyena.
" 'Ow did ya get 'er? Ya.. HEY! Did'a 'ear t'at?! We getta play!"
Mabozi wiggled up to the Tibuka's neck, letting his tiny paws flop down, giving the male some strange version of a hug. The pup grinned wide, he had worked himself into quite the frenzy. He had someone to play with! Gosh, he loved his mommy, but she sure never played with him. She was boring as dirt, even though she was really smart. As the pup spoke, it was obvious that he had inherited quite a lazy tounge from his father, there were days when he was barely understandable, but for now, he was still talking fine.

Wait-- queen? While nodding a bit as she complimented his 'job', Tibuka can't help but wonder if the annoying lioness won't send the whole pride against him-- but.. Queen? No wonder she was so.. Arrogant. But when she sais to her pup he's a playmate, he'd been about to object; but the pup is already on his back.
"Mabozi-uh-wha? "
He scrabbles to his paws, moving a few quick steps forward, then back; lion queens were one thing, hyena prince's another. Tibuka blinks in confusion, one minute, he's lying down trying to enjoy a rabbit and some gossip about beating a lion, next, he's a puppy playmate?!
"Get who? Hear what? Play? But I-- "
He stops there, though, not at the point of whining about his stinging wounds; they weren't too big, afterall, and he could imagine how the lioness felt for soothing. But.. Playing with a puppy? His ears pull backwards again, before moving forward in case the pup might try and grab them.
"Uhh... "

Mabozi giggled madly on the hyena's back before he rolled off of his back when he stood. The small pup landed on the hard ground with a rather low and hollow thud. He stopped his laughing once he hit the ground and started whining loudly, wincing as he stood. He shot a sad, puppy eyed glance at first his mother, but finding no sympathy there, he turned to Tibuka, giving him the saddest look he could.
Mafa paid no attention to Mabozi's antics. If he hadn't wanted to get hurt, he shouldn't have been jumping around on others. That child of her had no common sense, or no brain for that matter. The female simply scoffed, looking back to Tibuka,
"He seems to enjoy you, that can be your reward for the job well done, you Tibuka, are Mabozi's official nanny"
A cruel, taunting smile haunted Mafa this time. Thought it wouldn't be an enjoyable job, it was one of high esteem. She hated the mutt, but he was her child, she couldn't just trust him with anyone, she didn't.
At hearing this, Mabozi's sad, sad gaze broke into a happy one. His bright eyes lit up, smile illuminating his young features as he flung himself against Tibuka's leg, nuzzling it affectionately,
"LOVE NANNY!"

When the pup falls, he can't help but feel a little releived, but hs releived face soon turns in to one of horrow-- nanny..? he steps away from the pup as it comes at him hopelessly; why had he had to run in to Mafa? He looks at her, trying to find any evidence that this was a bad joke, but she seemed far from it.
"But aha-naffh-- "
He blinks, then draws in a sigh; best not appose the alpha but.. But..
"Can it at least not be called 'nanny'? "
He grins pathetically, before looking at the pup, Mabozi. Great.. If only it had been his sister, maybe she would be less annoying or noisy? Though, Mafa would probably prefer a girl.

Mafa gave the male a half shrug in response to his question. Her eyes quickly dart to Mabozi who was lumbering carelessly around Tibuka's legs. Surely they would get along fine, and perhaps, Tibuka would beat some sense into the boy, for she didn't have the energy for it. She would never say anything, but the female was still in a state of mourning over her stillborn daughter. Being around Mabozi hampered her spirt, she was angry that he had survived, and not his sister, who would have had the potential to be heir. But alas, she was stuck with a worthless oaf of a son, and the sooner she could dump him off, the better. Sure she'd keep him fed until he was weaned, but she was counting on the fact that Tibuka would teach the mutt to hunt and fend on his own. On the thought of hunting, Mafa looked back to the muddy male,
"Call yourself what you wish Tibuka, but you are to take care of him. As for me, I need to hunt, I've eaten nothing but mice since this heathen was born. Mabozi you good for nothing child, behave yourself, and don't come looking for me"
With that, Mafa gave her son one last glance and trotted away, away to find something to eat.
"KAAAYYY! BYE MAMA! LOVE 'OO!"
Mabozi trotted away from Tibuka a few feet to wave and shout a farewell to his beloved mother. He had a dopey smile on his face as he turned back to Tibuka, hopping over to him and turning about ten circles in one spot before sitting down and gazing up at the male with big, expectant eyes, it was obvious that he had energy to waste,
"Sososo, Aun'ie 'Uka! Wha' we gonna do?!"

The hyena watches his leader go, before blinking down at the pup; he didn't even want to think about playing games with this thing.
"Uhm.. I need to wash up, so we're going to the outskirts, I'm not in the mood to lick all this. "
He blinks, looking at his forgotten rabbit; he had been planning to eat it when he caught it, but he haden't been aware he'd get in a fight, nor become a 'nanny'.
But, he won't waste the meal, the hyena moves over and picks it off the ground, raising his head to keep it from dragging, even if it wasen't too big a rabbit.

Mabozi once again looked in the direction where his mother had come. Wait, she wasn't coming back?! The pup pouted immediately, looking to his 'Auntie' with glassy eyes,
"When'll Ma 'e back?"
He pouted like this for a few more seconds, but then what Tibuka had said a while ago finally clicked in his head and his sad little face melted away into a goofy grin. Outskirts, what was those?! Mabozi hopped up after Tibuka, suddenly he was terribly excited. He had never been to anywhere but his den and a few feet infront of it, this was going to be quite the adventure!
"Ou'skir's! Wassat? Tha' been there lo's? Zit far? Whasit loo' li'e? FUN!"
Mabozi's head buzzed with questions, but his tounge couldn't keep up with expelling the words, so he talked to himself in a strange for of fast gibberish, making no sense to anyone but himself. He trotted ahead after Tibuka, making sure not to stray any more than a foot away from him, still blabbing on to himself.

Ahh, he's getting used to ignoring the pup. Its a little had with the blabbering, and he can't understand much of it, but enough to say.
"Its about at the edge of the graveyard, not far. "
Not very far might be a lie, he imagined they were more to the mittle of the graveyard, and sense many elephants and animals died here.. It wasen't too small a place. But of course, there were the more dusty parts, with more bone and dust than anything else, and Tibuka could be amused at how the grass seemed to die a bit in here, as if it were some sort of wasteland.
Holding up the rabbit, the male hyena continues towards the outskirts, ears trying to focus on the sound his paws made, rather than the pups yapping.

Mabozi stopped abruptly when Tibuka spoke, he let out a loud gasp, looking to Tibuka with wide eyes,
"Thas faaar! Does tha' think MaMa wa let me go?"
The little pup beamed up at the larger male, expecting an answer in his favor. Mafa had really left no rules in this agreement, she had just wanted Mabozi off of her paws until she could recollect her thoughts. But then again she had wanted him off of her paws since he was born. She had simply considered abandoning the pup when he was born, letting the graveyard take his life, but she had decided against it. Being the only pup she bore, he'd grow big, bigger than any of the other hyenas here, and that way, he'd be a force to reckon with. But Mabozi had no idea of knowing his mother's plans, he just obeyed happily, no matter how little she cared for him, he didn't see her that way. He didn't see anyone that way for that manner. To others, it would be obvious that Tibuka was not fond of Mabozi, but Mabozi thought everyone simply adored him. He was a little optimistic to say the least.
"'m glaid tha's here Aun'ie, is lonley ou' 'ere..."
Indeed it was lonely. As Mabozi vertured father away from the den, he saw more and more of the graveyard. And it amazed him. It was so quite and desolate. He was glad that someone was here with him, he wouldn't have been able to bear it alone. He was a creature of companionship.

"I think Mafa wants me to make sure you don't poke your nose into trouble, but you'd eventually need to go there for water anyways. "
And he didn't have milk, so for liquid, this was all he could offer Mabozi anyways. Other than bloo,d but he didn't find it a good thirst quencher, it actually made him want more water, in a way.
He leaps over an elephant skull with ease, covering it in one bound after gaining a small amount of speed, finding it faster than just going aound, even by such a tiny difference. Or he was being a little show off-- but he tumbled a few steps after the leap thanks to his wounds, that bothered on his shoulder and waste.
Damn lions..

Mabozi nodded wisely as he toddled on after Tibuka, trying to think over what the male had said but his ADHD-esque brain just couldn't handle the subject for too long. When Tibuka hopped over that skull with such ease Mabozi's jaw nearly dropped. Such skillz! The puppy wagged his stringy tail, rushing over to try to hop over the thing to. But he got as far as putting his front paws up on it before he noticed Tibuka stumble a little after he jumped. The pup frowned. He didn't know much, but hyenas didn't just faulter for no reason. Now that he looked closer, he saw that the male was indeed quite roughed up. Mabozi had seemingly forgotten that Tibuka had recently been in a scuffle,
"Bukie, was wrong with tha'? Does tha' wanna break?"
The young creature's ears perked up as he presented his question. Whenever he was feeling tired or achey from romping around too much, he always laid down and took a nap. Perhaps Tibuka needed a nap.

He probably would facy a stop, but pride took over the hyena before he could put his mind to plan words, and he shook his head stubbornly, not really keen on opening his jaw to talk right now, attempting to show the dead rabbit as an excuse to his lack of words.
He looks back at the pup, as if to make sure it won't just roll over for a break, he didn't know how to handle pups, so he had to keep them busy or.. Or make them sleep. Or something.
