So about a week or so ago I had this dream. I don't really remember most of the dream but in part of the dream these two High Priestesses came to my house. Once they got there my whole family (parents, brothers, sister-in-law), them, and I all sat together in a circle. We then took turns asking the Goddess for certain things. I don't remember what everyone else asked for but when it was my turn I asked the Goddess to give me strength and courage. And it was odd enough with my family being in it because they're all Christians and what not.
What I was wondering was, could that be a sign or something? Like maybe that it's the right time to tell my family that I've changed religions or something?
Any opinions would be great!

That is my impression of it. The circle gives me a sense of acceptance, and the fact that everyone important to you showed up seems to fit it even more.
But don't blame me if it doesn't turn out well. sweatdrop My forte isn't dreamwork.
Maybe you should do a divination to find out?

Well one of my brothers now knows of my new religion... or at least that I'm interested in it because he was with me when I bought a book about Wicca yesterday. He didn't really say anything about it so that's good I guess... better than I expected. I'm pretty sure my other brother and sister-in-law know as well because they stayed in my bedroom on Friday and more than likely saw my books and whatnot because I chose to not hide them. I think my mom knows too because well... she knows everything. And if she didn't know before then she'll probably know soon because my brother (the one who was with me when I bought that book yesterday) tells her just about everything. But no one has said anything to me about it yet. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I'm thinking it's kind of a good thing because no one's freaking out over it like I expected some of them to do but maybe they're just afraid to bring it up... I don't know.

Maybe they saw it but still dont have a clue what it is. They wont confront you probably until they know what it is.

I'm pretty sure they know what it is. They probably just don't really care.

Well, it's pretty cool that they aren't harrassing you about it. I hope they accept you so you can get over this phase of life where you have to hide things from loved ones. >.<
'Cause that stinks. xP

crying So, my mom doesn't approve of me being a Pagan. She told me she wanted me to start going to church with her and I said no. She had caught me so off guard, I didn't even know what else to say so I just walked away and went to my room and cried.

oh no poor you! *huggles* My advice would be to explain to her exactly what paganism is and explain the goodness in it. If she still makes you go to church show her the things the bible says that you dont like and how the bible contradicts itself... sorry to push down the bible but it has made me angry. expecially if you are forced to it like I have.

I guess she'll learn to accept it with time. There have been a lot of things about me that she's had a hard time accepting before (the music I listen to, friends, clothes, etc), but she usually comes around and realizes that I am my own person and I'm going to be who/what I want to be whether she likes it or not. Besides that, a year from now I won't even be living in the same state as her, so I suppose it will be ok even if she doesn't learn to accept it. Although if/when I have kids (up to a certain age) I think I'm going to have problems with leaving them alone with her for long periods of time because when I do have kids I don't want their choice of religion to be influenced by anyone else. I want them to be able to make their own decisions based on what they want and what will make them happy. And I'm afraid that she might try to force Christianity down on them like she has on me and I don't want that. I didn't even tell her about it though, she just found out on her own... either by just seeing things in my room (she mentioned something she saw on my wall to bring it up) or because my brother told her about it. Actually, I was more surprised that my brother hasn't been harassing me about it than my mom not accepting it. At least all of my friends accept me for who am I! biggrin So that makes it a little better. MorganeLeFaye See? I don't know anythign about dream interpretation. ;-; That's okay, I thought the same thing you did and I've read quite a bit about dream interpretation. Dreams sometimes just show us what we'd like to see happen or what we're afraid of happening, not what actually will. But I'm okay now.

I'm glad that you're better now. I'm sure that with your impending move your mom will learn to accept you so she won't lose you permanently. I'm sure that's a fear of hers.
And I can understand the thing about having kids, I'm going to be that same way. But not to the point of hiding my beleifs from them. xP
I am biased... =-O

I don't plan on hiding my beliefs from them either but I won't shove it down their throats or anything like that.

I'm planning on keeping it a sectret till I move out and go to collage. Mabey I'll keep it a secret till I leave collage, anyways I hope they don't harrass you to much.

A few nights ago (I think it was on the 24th) I reworded a spell to find an animal totem (I'll make a thread about that in a minute so that everyone can understand better what I'm talking about) so that it would apply to revealing my soulmate. It was just an experiment, to see if it would work. I'm not sure if it did.
Well in the the dream I had, there was everyone I've ever known as well as a bunch of people I didn't recognize. Anyway, in the dream I was pregnant with my current boyfriend's baby. I'm not sure if we were married in my dream or not.
Also, I had a dream probably about a week or so prior to doing this where he was asking me to marry him... didn't know if that had any significance or not.
And every night since doing that I've had dreams about him. I don't usually have dreams about the same person back to back like that.
So, anyone got any ideas as of to what that meant or anything??
