I want to see how many people out here, especially in this guild, actually know what the industrial genre is. Please list bands that you consider as Industrial, and please try to be moderately correct or I will laugh at you. (Especially when you are like "OMG Wumpscut!! Uber Industrial!! TeH OmG!") *snicker*

I like the genre. But I don't like a lot of people's perceptions of it.

Thinking that you are somehow an arbiter of a genre that has been, since it's inception, experimental and amorphis. Edit: Also, I felt the Bile reference would be clear and clean. <3 Bile.

Well, there are a few artists that tend to stay near by the sound of industrial. Here is what I listen to that keeps such things:
-TG, of course -Cabaret Voltaire -Monte Cazazza -Einsturzende Neubauten -Psychic TV -Leather Nun
Thos were kind of the older artists who were either surrounded about Industrial records or are just out there, doing what they could in the early times.
Many of the other groups I enjoy either are rooted off of what was Orridge's idea. Some just happen to just sound slightly like it.
I tend to be open to accepting many different subs as what is industrial. Many tend to flame me for that, though.

Industrial Kitten Why cause I think that people nowadays dont know what industrial is? Ha! Its the truth. Plain and simple. Im not being rude but that's what people do, and its quite funny. well that is true (in every genre), the problem is is that industrial music since its birth has been purely experimental, most bands have fine tuned their style down, many have went in completely opposite directions. making any solid definition (besides experemental) completely opinionated based upon the "industrial bands one listens too". although you could say that my opinion is moot due to the fact that the majority of industrial bands I listen to are Black Metal-Industrial bands, but ...eh?
