In the US the government has stated that they will not give out support or relief to the states, they said we're on our own...
(saw this on mulible sources, including national news)
I talked to my mom and dad about what we would do, and I'm relived that they understood that we would have to stock up on water and food, as well as completly limited our exposure to other people
Discuss...the bird flu and how you feel about it/how you will prepare for it

It's not a realistic threat. Just like the Russians weren't a realistic threat 30 years ago. Since Americans aren't afraid of terrorists anymore, they need a new enemy to live in fear of. In that, we get BIRD FLU.

Eusis Landale What the hell is bird flu anyway? sweatdrop A virus found in chicken and birds. You can catch it by eating a chicken or simply being close to a person who has it. (I think) Their is no cure yet for it etheir, thats why people fears it so much. It starts of as a normal flu but eventually it gets more painfull and kills you or something. As on topic. To be honest, I am not really worried the goverment is overreacting. Epidemics happen all the time over the world. To find out more on birdflue, try www.wikipedia.com
