This is where we will store character sheets for the OA Campaign: Play Thread. Please see that thread for character creation and campaign world info.

We will be starting with 1st level characters, preferably from the OA sourcebook. If you need any advice or links to where you can get info on Oriental Adventures specific character creation just contact me. As we will be playing in my own custom OA campaign, you can pick any of the races or classes listed in the OA sourcebook. Humans can also pick a clan from the book if they choose to, but they are not required. If you REALLY want to play a non-OA race/class then contact me, you will need a good background to get the character to the OA world.

My preferred way to create character stats is by rolling 4d6 and dropping the low die. I also allow you to re-roll 1's and 2's.

I like to use the 3EProfiler http://www.sylnae.net/3eprofiler for character sheets, but I'm not going to force you to, so submit characters in any format you want.

A little character background and a description of what people will see when they look at your character would be great too. I often work good character backgrounds into my campaign's story and the description is helpful for the other players as well as my own purposes.

heh, I was thinking of making a human samurai of the dragon clan if I made a character. Now I dunno, don't want to have two characters so much alike. I dunno if I will anyways, I don't know Oriental Adventures, and it looks alot different than what I'm used to.

Did you say you haven't been playing long???

While Samurai is an awesome class. Don't forget that there are fighters, monks, rangers and sohei also in OA if you are looking for battle prowess.

I would suggest looking at the many prestige classes in the OA book (including the Clan classes) and use them to help you decide a direction to go in. So, even though Dragons are cool, unless you plan on being a Niten Master or Tatooed Monk later on, the Dragon clan might not do you much good. Also, most Dragon clan members are usually Monks. Though every clan may have a few Samurai, being a Crane or Lion Samurai may serve you better later on. I'm not saying you should change your mind, if you like Dragon Samurai, then go for it.

With all the character options and races in OA it's funny that two people would pick Human Dragon Samurai. I am allowing all the OA races and classes to be used in my campaign, so there are countless options.
