The Ravenwing Family

Yoshitaka Ravenwing, a prominent businessman in Kyoto, Japan decided one day that he was going to adopt a family. It was something he planned to do a long time ago when he started to feel a weight on his shoulders and his heart of aging. Long ago in feudal Japan Yoshitaka was transformed into a vampire by a lord who wished to gain his service. Through time the Samurai evolved to fit in with the modern world and gave up his concepts of honor. It came to a point however that he could no longer change. He needed help as he felt the call of a deathless sleep that would last for centuries. He found a way however and to his delight that way was through children.

This is a continuation, or rather a renewal of the old Ravenwing Family story.

The House

The entrance is a grand hall that spans the length of the mansion leading into the other rooms.
A grand ballroom used for parties and formal dance.
Dinning Hall for fifty people complete with rich decorum, silver, and fine china.
Bedrooms and accommodations for 50 people include the main bedrooms.
Of course, accompanying the bedrooms are lavish bathrooms complete with large gold trimmed tubs and other such fine amenities.
Two large dens complete with skin rugs and handsome furnishings.
A huge study used by Yoshitaka Ravenwing in his spare time for turning over his businesses.
Ten other studies are placed throughout the house for the children's educational benefit. (Their father becomes irate when they are not used.)
A huge art wing with the most expensive paintings and sculpture that money can buy.
Three drawing rooms come off of the art wing and are also prepared for anyone's daily use.
A lavish basement used for entertainment of different sorts involving media.
A large attic used as a room for Yoshitaka's favored child of the half century.
An Atrium in which many of the worlds birds are fed and kept by hired hands.
Three greenhouses that are cared for and assigned the titles of 'Africa, Asia, and Europe' due to their flora and fauna.

The Story

Yoshitaka adopted his first child in 1993. Her name was Kalen and she was a young and beautiful orphan adopted into the Ravenwing family after Yoshitaka saw something in her that is found so infrequently in this world, Love. He adopted her with great tenderness in his heart. At first it started out of a pity for her curse but he grew to love and shower her with affection. As his time with her increased he realized that it would be good to expand his family. He did so and many children came to live in his large and lush home. They filled the rooms slowly but surely and his smile widened and time slowed down for him. He lived in the moment rather than watching the years pass by in blinks. He was indeed quite happy.

As a businessman Yoshitaka was insanely occupied most of the time and in some instances had to request that his dear sister Noire Ravenwing-Amoire come to help watch over his children in his absence. Like him, she was a vampire and knew how to handle a household so large. Things seemed to be running smoothly in the house until the number of vampires in the ancient capital of Japan continued to increase. Yoshitaka found that his business practices turned from managing estates, buildings, and other such properties to also killing off younger reckless vampires in his spare time. His family was seeing less and less of him to his dismay.

A new breed of vampires were rising in the world and causing great turmoil for his house. Some of his children were even directly attacked. He vowed to protect his family no matter what the cost and flew at once to his friend Anthony Sparrow, leader of the Midnight Council, a man who could change the face of the world with his power and solve this problem one way or another. He was needed and at that time he left his home to pursue his only interest, protecting his family.

The Rules:

1. No Godmodding, obviously.
2. Be as literate as possible. One liners are not acceptable.
3. Be respectful of other's character moments, don't just show up and change a scene and stop their roleplay because you want your character involved. Throw in, but don't throw down.
4. If you ever get in a fight with a main character, kiss your character goodbye should their character decide to extinguish yours.
5. Drive your own plot. Do not look for a plot from thread owners. This isn't that kind of RP. You must be literate and come up with your own.
6. Don't have more than a few characters at a time. It gets confusing otherwise.
7. In your PMed profile, state that you love me so that I know you read the rules.
8. Werewolves, Vampires, Monsters, Etc. are allowed in this RP, but you must explain in great detail how they came to be part of the family and why you want to play the character. It must work for the game for it to be allowed.
9. Try to avoid the use of too many NPC's.
10. Respect the guild rules, and Gaia's TOS, naturally.
11. This game is connected to "The Midnight Council" RP and several others. If you are visiting this thread from another be respectful of the rules. If you are from Ravenwing visiting another be respectful of their rules, and of course EVERYONE read the rules on the Midnight Council Page.

Special Abilities: Cooking, Cleaning, and whooping butts when necessary.
Appearance: Rose Elderly in appearance, her expressions are stern and it is easy to see that she is a propper lady of class and dignity. She wears a maids uniform of black and white and keeps herself neat and tidy.
Personality: She is commanding but soft spoken all at once. She has no patience for impracticality or immature action. She takes care of the house while Yoshitaka is away so she cannot afford to be shy. She has smacked the butt of many of Yoshitaka's children and has no fear of doing so again to get things accomplished and instill discipline.
History: Years ago she and Yoshitaka developed a deep and meaningful friendship. The history of the time they spent together in her youth is a mystery to the children of a house, known only to Yoshitaka and never to be revealed. It is safe to say that their friendship continues, though altered and that she would rather be nowhere else in the world than with Yoshitaka and his family.
Accomplishments: The best maid in the country.
Job: Head of the household. Maid. Cook. (And in desperate need to hire the last two spots out.)

Bell Liberty Academy: Located in the city of Kyoto and 30 miles from the mansion, Bell Liberty Academy is very well known for its level of academia. It's been renamed once from its older more traditional Japanese title to encompass a diverse array of students. It is a catholic boarding school.
