Yugioh GX: Duel World Cup
Descripition:
An Rp set 1 year into the Yugioh GX storyline, where a great duel tournament is being held. Duel Academy has volunteered to host this prestigues event. This tournament will attract participants from all across the world both student and pro. Get ready for the ultimate tournament to decide the best.
Storyline:
This is what is currently going on
-As of now the opening ceremony is just about to start. Players from all across the globe have gotten there invitations and are being escorted to the island as we speak.
-Tomanaru Soshi has instructed all duelist to meet in front of the gates to duel academy with their medallion for the DWCO to announce the rules.
Clues:
-The Soshi family seems to be a very wealthy family to have one of them be able to host such a tournament.
-Soshi family seems to hold a secret.
-Soshi is trying to revive [something].
-Rumors of a powerful card has surfaced
-Tomanaru Soshi, not realizing he turned off the com-link for the speaker said that "Project Empe-" was already. He was cut himself at the last word, so it is hard to tell what the real word is.
Rules on Posting:

-Please use "OOC:" before a statement that has to do with posting not in character (ooc = out of character)
-Please use quotes [ " " ] to show that your player is talking
-It would be helpful if you would use ** or some other method to show your characters actions.

-stay within the boundries of the storyline
Rules on RP:
-Each person may have up to 2 characters
-You may pick any character from the original Yugioh, Yugioh GX, or Yugioh R series
-You may create a made-up, only after you have choosen one original character.
-You may not choose to, or RP as any of the DWCO. Also, your character can not have any prior relations (exception is Gekkou Tenma).
-The format is traditional, and card's that are not printed are derived from their original text
-If your character is knocked out of the tournament before the finals, you may select a new character
-Do not alter the character's usual style (ex: Seto being nice to people other then his brother, Judai not wanting to eat (lol ^^;; ), ShoXJudai Shonen-Ai, ect....)
-You may either Rp the duel or roll high for who wins the tournament (I or someone else can post how the duel turned out if both players decide on roll)
-You may use AIM, YIM, Gaia or any other provider to decide your duel. But please, after you finish copy the duel and post on the forum.
Prolouge:
Principle Sameshima (Principle Sheppard) has agreed to a deal made by the Duelist Pro Circuit that his school would host the honorary Duel World Cup. This is a new event that to the world, so many different duelist have become interested in it's similarities to the Duelist Kingdom Tournament hosted by Pegasus J. Crawford (Maximillion Pegasus). Principle Sameshima was oddly enthusiastic about hosting this event, but no one knows why. On top of that, he instructed that students were also able to participate in this tournament. Since they were using Duel Academy's island, the students were offered special inviations to enter, while those not in the tournament had to go through a preliminary round to get in. This event has attracted both big and small from the Duel King himself to even national champions from other countries. It is said that the winner will not only get the title of World Championship but also there is rumor of another prize. It is unknown yet to what it is, but some think it is a new rare card like that given out to battle city.
Rules of the Tournament:
-Each person is given a medallion to enter (each participant recieved one at the beginning of the tournament)
-To enter the final round, each participant must beat 5 opponents with a medallion on.
-If a person loses more then three times he/she is kicked out of the tournament.
-If a person with 5 wins may not participate in any more dueling till the finals start.
-No one may face the same duelist twice (this excludes from that of the final round)
-Finals start when there are atleast 8 people. After that, a time limit will start and the rest of the people have to get 5 wins in that limit.
-When the finals start it will be a single elimation bracket.
-Winner of the finals is considered winner of the tournament.
-Winner of the tournament will not only recieve a Title as "World Duelist" but he/she will also get a cash prize. DWCO (Duel World Cup Organization) states that they have no other prizes other then the title and cash prize.
