'Queen Of...'

A queen of darkness and despair
Dancing with the shadows,
Holding court with unseen creatures of the night,
With spiderwebs coursing throught her hair.

She sits low on her high pedestal,
Gazing around at the things she has.
She looks upon her court,
With eyes full of graceful despair.
She has everything she wants,
But nothing seems to comfort her.

As dawn approaches,
She is carried and fussed over,
By her many dark spawned consorts.
They make her feel as if she could rule forever,
But she knows everything comes at a price.

Her content-ness lasts through sleep until night-fall,
Where she sits even lower in her high pedestal.
As she is enthralled by her worshipers' crazed dancing,
Memories flood her mind of her human life.
When she only had one best friend.
The rest judged her too much,
So she ended up hiding herself from them as well as the rest of the world.

She spun webs of lies and deciet,
So tangled even she could never get out of them.
Then came the night where she decided she had enough.

The night when she became the queen of darkness and despair,
Is the night she was the happiest she had ever been.
She pulled the trigger and let the final curtain of her life swing shut.
When arriving to her soon to be court,
She was lavished with praise
By the other creatures of the night of all sorts.

And as she joined in their crazed dancing ,
She sealed her fate.
Becoming the Queen of what she hated most.

She is the Queen of Darkness and Despair,
Of Loneliness and Sorrow,
Of Suicide and Pain.
And the she regrets every moment of it.
