(( This RP takes place after the encounter with Nuri and Zenoni ))
Sore and tired the slave limped heavily across the sand, walking until she could walk no more. Her skinny frame had not a scrap of fat on it and her body spoke nothing of happiness.
If a familiar set of eyes were to lay sight upon this once adventurous and exciteable lioness they would not recognise her, for she was nothing but a shell. She was Kiburi no more.
Her grief and loneliness and homesickness was all beginning to mount until thoughts of suicide crossed her mind. But no...the promise she had made to her family, the promise she yearned to keep...it kept her alive and breathing. She would not die, atleast not until she had reached the pridelands once more and uttered her apologies.
Her legs collapsed beneath her then and the sandy ground greeted her with a sharp slap and it was there she lay; trembling and weak.
Get up! She urged herself, GET UP! And she stood once more, shakily yes but determined as ever. This adamance, this pride, this was the real Kiburi.
It seemed as if her personality still lingered somewhere under all that sand and blood.

The ivory and chocolate hare skid across the sand, the heat making his fast paws appeared blurred. The sun beat down on his dusty pelt as he continued to run, however his large brown gaze met a sandy figure standing shakily above the grainy ground. Letting out an inaudible squeak, he swerved to avoid her, a scared expression upon his otherwise sweet face.
"Are you okay?" His wide eyes ran over her body again. Her ribs stuck out at odd angles, fur blooded, and he whimpered slightly.

It was strange to see a lioness shy away from a hare, but now-a-days Kib seemed to be scared of most strangers. Only Zezzie and Kirjava could be trusted now, everyone else was the enemy even this little furry creature.
She stumbled back and fell hard onto her rump, giving a small 'oof' sound as she made contact with the ground. Her body quaked visibly with a fearful shudder and a small, nervous twitch started in her right foreleg.
"Y-yes, f-f-fine." She stuttered as she found her mouth strangely dry, when had she last stopped to drink anyway? "...w-what a-are you?" She questioned as she tried to gain control of her shaking body.
It was quite obvious she was a nervous wreck.

The small creature moved foward, forgetting the heat for a moment. He dropped his fragile head onto her paw for a moment, with which little comfort he could give this stranger. "You don't sound alright." He cocked his head, nose twitching with the characteristic his species had been blessed with. "I'm a hare." He stated, small tail wiggling in all its fluffy glory.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" Biskiti asked, using a soft paw to pull on his ears, ridding them of a little dust.

Kiburi looked down at the cute little animal and actually smiled! And even better was the fact that she gave a small giggle too. She watched the fluffy tail wiggle and found herself amazed by the twitching of his nose, what a strange little creature he was!
She lowered herself slowly, wincing as the tug of her wounds caused her slight discomfort. "I-I'm a...a slave." She said softly, seeming to forget that she was in fact a lioness. "a s-slave trapped h-here and u-unable to leave." She swallowed, tears suddenly welling in her eyes. "I...c-can't be helped."
She sniffed. "B-but you can call me Kib." She gave a weak smile then and brushed her nose against the hare's long ears.
