Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone know where you can get hold on some medieval music for an rpg? For violin or viola. We have some songs but it's more fun if we have songs to chose from 3nodding Oh it's a live rpg by the way, it's called Kastaria.

Umm, look up the composer Elliot Del Borgo, he always does like, middle age music. Sounds fun, a live rp and all, though it does seem a bit squeemish.

Back in the day, my Middle School most have owned the entire Del Borgo library. Jesu Christo, I think I'll instinctively vomit if ever obligated to play another Del Borgo piece.

Heh heh heh heh heh. I have to agree with iviary, I'm afraid.
If you could find a recording of Old English Suite, arranged for small Orchestra by Granville Bantock ( xd ), that one is a fun piece to listen to, and has a lot of variety. It's kind of a bugger to play; because of the ways that the movements are put together it's hard to keep your spot. But it's a lovely piece.
The first movement is by Orlando Gibbons, and is a Fantasia. The second is called Lachrymae Pavan, by John Dowland, a string piece, very slow and pretty. The third is by Johm Bull, the King's Hunt, boisterous (sp?) and bold, the fourth is Quodling's Delight, a wind piece by Giles Farnaby, and the last is called Sellenger's Round, a dance in 6/8 time by William Byrd. The variety of the suite is what leads me to suggest it more than anything else... I guess try Google, I don't know where you would find a recording of it.

You might look up some Gregorian Chant pieces. Perhaps you can adapt them to your purpose. :]
