Fedha should have been asleep in his family den around this time, but it was hard to do. Often he snuck out on nights like these and wandered toward the Boarders of the land; not to leave them, simply to go to his favorite spot and watch the stars.
Sometimes the stars gave him such an unbelievable feeling, like everything in the world was right. Or sometimes a dreading feeling that soon life would come crashing down and end, but never had they blanketed his world with such an eerie silence, seeming to suck the life right out of him. Or maybe the stars were just forcing too much life into him, it could be either.
Either way he was not pleased tonight, which probably made him more disagreeable than ever. His tail flicked back and forth in a jerky manner, thin frame laying on a large rock, steely eyes peering up at the world amongst the stars, a world he would never be able to get to.

Safura walked, rather, wandered, under the light of the moon and its children, the stars. She glanced at the pale orb, and allowed a small smile to appear on her face. She was close to the Borders now, but she didn't mind. Often, she came here to rest and stare at the night sky. Her silver fur glittered gently with the moon and stars' lights which twinkled down to the world. Tonight was a silent night, for the crickets and usual chittering bugs themselves were quiet in their sounds.
As she walked, she came by a lion who looked very frustrated. She froze. She hadn't met many lions--in reality, she'd met few and far between--and she was frightened by most of them. The reason behind this, of course, was due to a cub she'd met when she herself was a cub, but she still tried to talk to the males of her kind. Kijito had surprised her, and she felt grateful to his kindness. It allowed her to trust the males of her kind a little more, if a bit better.
Slowly, ever so slowly, with her ruby eyes seemingly glowing, she approached the young lion. Should she say something, she wondered, or should she let him spot her and say something? Silently, she debated, finally deciding on the latter. As quietly as she could, she approached him, but said nothing, and stayed at a distance where, in case he attacked her, she could flee to safety. She hoped this lion wouldn't attack her; she'd had enough of it as a cub.

His left ear twitched, though he figured the sound was from a short breeze so he continued his star gazing. It wasn't fair, why couldn't he be with those stars, in that sky? Why was his world here, on the retched earth with nothing but rocks and trees? He privetly thought the sky would be a much prettier home, day or night.
The hairs on his neck pricked a little and finally his gaze flickered off of the sky and his head moved toward the left, his eyes narrowing as it fell on the pale figure. Not a lion from his pride, otherwise she'd be heading out of the boarders, rather into them. Or well, he'd reccognize her at least. "What business do you have here?" He said quietly, not unfriendly but not exactly inviting either.
Even though he was but a cub, already the quiet intelligence was there.

She flicked her tail nervously. Even if he was a cub, he didn't seem friendly. Not that he was being mean, either, but still. "I... Business?" she said, a little unnerved. The cub definitely had quite a few smarts, that was for sure. "I just... wandered here." She really couldn't come up with a better answer.
After all, she really had wandered into the area. She wandered to a lot of places, though the Pridelands seemed to be her primary area to visit, she mused. She sat down a bit, and turned to stare up at the stars. This night was going to be an eventful one, it seemed. Well, at least she wouldn't be bored three nights in a row, like the last time.

Fedha shifted a little, ears flicking. She was bigger than him, so she was definetly older. And now allowed on these lands! But he wasn't sure where they exact border was, so he couldn't tell her to get off just yet. "Wandered, hmm? Be wary of where you travel, sometimes your paws will bring you to dangerous places." He muttered, though he just knew this from his dreams. Sometimes he really hated his dreams, they scared him. They really did.
"So why did the wind blow you this way?" He murmered in an amused manner, tail curling around him.

Safura nervously played with her paws. Yes, he seemed much younger. Still, if he attacked her, all she could do, probably, was run away. "I'm... I'm a rogue, you see," she finally said, unsuredly. "I'm an orphan, so I just... go wherever I... as you say, wherever the wind takes me." She shrugged. She really couldn't come up with anything better. "And thank you for the warning."
She wondered if she should introduce herself. She probably shouldn't; this cub had other scents on him, meaning he was in a pride. A slight pang in her heart, she shut away those thoughts before they got to her. If he told her his name, she'd tell him hers. However, she decided it might be dangerous in telling him, but she hoped she wouldn't get in trouble.

He shot her a sharp glance of disgust. "Of course you're a rogue; did you think I'm stupid enough to have missed that fact?" He didn't sound exactly angry about it, just upset. Why would she assume he didn't know that?
Everyone has their sob story, eh? "So find yourself a new family, some new friends. It's not too hard to do, I think you secretly enjoy being able to tell everyone such a sad story." Again, his tone was not quite mean but his words were. Maybe he didn't realize what a snot he was?
(So sorry for his complete brattiness ;___; )

Safura stared at him, horror in her eyes. She knew it. She just... knew it. "You're... You're just like the others, then," she whispered, eyes downcast. His words stung. He might have physically attacked her, but he had attacked her... verbally. "Because of lions and lionesses like you, my mother died because of heartache.
"I don't know anything of my father, because others were cruel to me..." She glanced up, eyes sharp and filled with harsh tears... tears she'd held back for the longest time. "Do you realize how lucky you are, to have a family? To have a pride? To have a home? And you're right; I am a rogue... which makes it all the harder for me to find friends and a home!"
(XD It's okay. Safura needs to encounter someone like him at some point.)

His fur fluffed a little, he was even more annoyed that she started to continue telling her little sob story. "Excuse me, it is not lions like myself because you know nothing of me but a first impression. I did not kill your mom and I don't care if you think someone simular to me did; it still does not make them me." He snarled out, rising and stretching. Tonight had been an unlucky night to rest.
"I am not lucky at all. Make yourself a family; find yourself a pride. Stop moping, a rogues life is only that way as long as they choose it to be. Change happens when you choose it to." He murmered, his voice still lacking emotion. Or perhaps hints of annoyance were evident. Though his words were a bit sharp and mean, he was very whise for such a little one. It was true though, she did not have to suffer being alone.
"Typical. One who does not have anything saying another is lucky because they have something." He snorted and shook his head, jumping from his rock, still in the mist boarders.

She snorted, suddenly extremely angry. "What does a cub like you know? Shall we exchange lives and pasts? I would that you'd learn that there are things out there that I'd wager you'd never seen! I'm sure, that, had you lived a life like mine, you wouldn't be trying to lecture me about getting myself a pride or a family!
"And if that isn't bad enough, you probably haven't hunted in your entire young life! Wise you might be for a cub, sharp of tongue, but don't you lecture me about such things! It might sound like a sob story to you, cub, but if you much insist on such typical things to happen, you might as well quit your current pride and live the life of a rogue. Learning to hunt on your own with no guidance is no easy task."
She narrowed her eyes. This cub definitely would be on her list of "most annoying in the world". Why did she have to encounter such a smart-mouth? What did he know of the world? She bet this little male probably never left this territory in his entire life, from the day he was born. She silently snorted. This was why she hated males who had prides and thought themselves to be above all others.

Fedha glanced over his shoulder, slipping past a tree. A slow smile twisted across his maw in a deligate, spidery way. "I know a lot, even though I have lived not. The exchange of lives and pasts would be rather short, seeing as you already gave me mine, and I have nothing to give to your being." A smug look curled his smile more, getting another angry was probably his favorite thing in the world.
"Hunted? I have not. Neither of my mothers have taken me yet. Though it matters not, because hunting has nothing to do with the here and now. So.... are you bringing up your hardships of hunting because your sob story didn't work?" Gosh, he wouldn't stop, would he? He rubbed lightly up against the tree, purring as if he was very content.
He didn't want to ever leave this territory, though he had once ventured out into the ugly rogue lands to collect his sister. Well, it didn't matter now.

Safura could only glare at him. How could such a twisted cub live in these beautiful lands? Well, she supposed he was purposely getting her riled up, but she couldn't help it! She hated these upstart lions! "How very content you seem," she said coldly, eyes becoming the color of stone scarlet as her expression fell into an impassive look.
"I haven't given you a life--I hardly see how I did--but if you haven't lived, then you are most surely too overconfident." She lay down, still in the same spot where he had first spoken, when he had frozen her in surprise. She hated these hostile, supposed to be better lion types. They really got on her nerves!
"Suppose your mother dies, or both of your parents were to die today. What would you do? You may not want to leave this place--I could hardly blame you--but if you don't know how to get food, what can you do?" She knew she was sticking to a subject the cub had already tossed aside, but she didn't care. The idiot needed a lecture of his own!

Well of course he was content, he wasn't the one being all over the place. Were all girls like this when they got to her age? So moody and not being able to decide on anything? His maw twitched, as if he wanted to smile more. But instead he shifted, pulling himself in a slow circle around the tree while he thought of his mothers, and how their dying would effect him. Would he have a dream about such things? He was beginning to see a pattern in his more troubling dreams that flashed by, sometimes he saw those dreams in real life. But it was little things, nothing as big as death.
"Overconfident, hmm? I think maybe you're just ignorant." He threw back at her, and this time he did laugh. Though it was short lived, he could feel one of those retched headaches coming on. After a moment he sat, facing her. "If both of my mothers died... I would just join another pride members family." He said, brows raising and giving her a look as if to say, wasn't that obvious? It wasn't that he wouldn't be upset about the death of either of his moms, but that wasn't the question.
She really was going through the rainbow of emotions tonight, wasn't she? "Any ways, what's the point you're trying to prove? I grow bored of you." He smirked slightly.

Safura mentally grinded her teeth. This cub definitely knew how to get on her nerves! If she saw anyone from his pride, she might as well be polite to them... but... She shook her head at him, and said with a slightly amused tone, "You grow bored of me. What, are you the next soon-to-be pride leader? How wonderful for you. And if you really plan to do as you say, should you lose your... mothers... I wish you luck. Not every pride allows orphans into their posse, cub." Why were males so... difficult?! She'd have figured that, with someone as young as this cub was, they'd rather play than anything else!
But of course, she was in the territory of a pride. She snorted mentally. Prides. If she ever joined one, it would have to be through a mating! Well, that's what she'd heard. The cub looked content, happy, good for him. "Ignorant, am I? Overconfident, too? Maybe. Maybe not," she added. "Who are you anyway? I hate to meet anyone without knowing their name."

"No, no pride leader. I can not grow bored with another unless I am in line for the throne?" He raised his brows questioningly. He certainly didn't want the 'crown', and Maji had cubs of his own. Not that Fedha had met them yet. "Are you implying that the Umande'mfuni does not allow orphans into their pride?" He snarled, anger sparking his eyes slightly. "You should really maybe look into the prides around here, doll. My mother has told me about several of the surrounding ones." The only pride he thought wouldn't let in orphans was the firekin. He shook his head in discuss and rolled onto his back, one paw raising and then dragging down the tree, claws extended and marks left. "I wonder." He murmered, more to himself than to her. "How one who has never left home is much smarter than one who might be worldly." Now that he had meant to be mean, and had meant for her to overhear. How lovely.
Fedha just smirked at the repeation of his statements, claws moving up and down in the grooves he's made. "Fedha'Kialio." He stated. He didn't ask for her name back, because frankly he didn't care all that much. She was crazy, at least a little. Her emotions being thrown all over the place confused and annoyed him!
