We all know that rares are, well. Rare. And we all know that everyone wants some. There are people who have been questing for these fish for ages. Market prices are skyrocketing more then a Barbie doll strapped to a block of Nitro.

So what is there to do? Fish! domokun

We here are RubyFishers United are striving to make sure everyone knows the best way to nab a rare. We're investigating up claims of the nine rares, to the nine winds, and more. We even organize mass fishing spots, to help people not fall asleep while doing the daunting task of filtering for a rare!

We're going to make it so that it's possible to quest for these fishies. Because people who put in months fishing, shouldn't be the last ones to get the items.

And, to explain the title: Rubyback Lions are technically the creme de la creme of the fishy world. Hardest Lake, as well as the shortest time. Though anyone about here knows the Candy Stripers are all but extinct. CandyFishers United brought images of candy canes. Ruby gave me something to work with artistically. xd

Rare Rundown-

Rares are the 3 fish of each lake that's chances of being caught are like getting a pinkbox. Twice. Odds are not in your favor. But there's some rumors that can be dispelled here.

MYTH: You need an upgraded rod to catch them with.

-You can use ANY rod to catch them with. Any rod. Rares are caught at any distance.

MYTH: You need only A bait to catch rares with.

-You need, last we knew, A or D quality bait to catch them with. F doesn't work, unfortunatly.

MYTH: Rares move like trash.

-They're patterns are, unfortunatly, varied left and right. But the general concensus is this: When you hook a rare, you'll know it's a rare. 3nodding

MYTH: You can't catch rares during the night.

-Time effects only the TYPE of rare you get. Not that you get one. Each lake has a different rare for Day, Night, and Dawn/Dusk.

MYTH: You can use F bait to get a rare.

-True. Bait Degradation determines the level of bait for your first five games. To get 5 A Bait-Level buckets, use F, F, D, D, D Baits for those games. Thus, it is possible to get a rare with F bait, acting like A Quality.
