He had enough money to rebuild his mansion, didn't he? Couldn't he just get a loan and offer that up as collateral (sp?)
I didn't donate because that's just not what my online character would do, lol...
What I don't get is... Admin doesn't need gold. But I was wondering if it had anything to do with the actual economy of the whole site.
Because I mean... They're trying harder and harder to get us to spend it and not earn as much. They cut back the money we get from polls, too, remember? I was wondering if there was some kind of problem with there being too much currency. Because if there's too much Gaia currency, then everything becomes virtually worthless, anyone can buy anything, so they don't have to post, and gaia goes to sh*t. Right?
or am I overanalyzing again?

Well I have no idea how they keep the economy even in gaia with all the new users and storage accounts... But I'm guessing that the more money you give to gambino, the better the item he will give you when he gets his house back. I only gave him 844 gold because i'm still saving up for a cd player and messenger bag.
Who knows what them smart admin are up to... blaugh

I am going to be brutally honest. It is not something I give a rats a** about. Gaia matters seldom cncern me, as this message boards is a way for me to kill time for the couple hours between classes, or when my bike is broke and I am stranded at home for the day.
I think I might donate one guild to be an a**.

And lib, the people who focus on their avitars is the reason that we have naked day, to show that gaia is about posting and just has something fun to do on the side. Its when all the n00bs start begging for gold and ((check my journal)) saying crappy messages is when it all gets screwed over.

I think I might donate anyway, just in case.
I don't wanna be stuck out in the cold. Yeah, I support the ideas behind nakkie day, but I wanna see if anything good comes out of it. I was just really wondering whether or not Gaia has an actual economy.
Because that would be... odd.

the gaia economy, yes I'm apsolutely shure that's what the're looking to help out here. same reason they came up with gaia housing, and then had really really expencive funiture. the houses arn't good for anything but getting gold out of the system, and it's working.
gambino's donation fund takes millions of digital currency points out of the system, and I wouln't be supprised if soon the prices in EVIL SIN and GCG go down as a result; or maybe they'll stay high and people will post more. the only problem with people posting for gold is that they usually end up spamming for gold.....

You could be overanalyzing, but I doubt it. I only gave him like 50g cuz Im cheap...and you cant go into the new mansion either!
