Aleck stepped around the edge of the door and laid a thick book on the edge of his desk. A yellow slip stuck out from the book, some chicken scratch notes lettered on it. He was the newest teacher here, you could say he was nervous. Working with kids wasnt unusual, he had attempted to help some juveniles earlier in the year, but that ended in a rather nasty legal matter.
He stood up to the board and took black marker and began to write his name at the top of the board, "Alecksandr Belvourne", he then scribbled "Aleck" for short. Underneath this he began to make a short list of dead historic figures.
He then wrote a short sentence, "Pick an historical figure, past tense, who you attain to be like or have respect or great interest in. And list a reason"
He then grabbed a small pack he slung around his shoulders and went to go find a place to smoke a cigarette.

Ayumi ran into the room and leaned against the wall. She was glad all the classrooms were in the same hallway. She huffed a bit as she caught her breath and moved to a desk. She folded her hands on the desk and tried to calm down before speaking.
"Ayumi Yoshikuni, here sir."

World History...This was somehting he didn't knew about. He was locked up in a small white chamber for almost his entire life now, with the exceptance off going out to assasinate someone. He never could study about world history.

The substitute walked into the classroom and looked around. As he scanned the room, he noticed he only had two students. "Is this it? The two of you? Why even bother having class with two students?"
He walked over to the desk, sat his bag down, and sat in the chair. "Why don't the two of you just doodle or something for a while. I don't know what they expect me to teach you. I was a psychology major, nearly failed history three times. I'm going to put my head down now, so if you need something....don't bother me."
The substitute folded his arms on the desk and buried his face on the desk. "When will that damn bell ring? I'm hungry as a damn shark."

He could say that this was his lucky day, but on this school this was never corrrect. He looked at Ayumi wondering what she would do before he turned back on his books again and started to read in his mind.
This was just a good oppertunity to learn as much about the world history as he could.

"Excuse me sensai." Ayumi stood from her desk and bowed deeply. "Even if you were a psycho-loiligy major, could you please teach us something. My mother would be upset I'm in a school and not learning with each day." She bowed once more before taking her seat, "Gomennasai sensei."
Ayumi took her seat and folded her hands on the desk.
The substitute raised his head from the desk, his eyes catching Ayumi's final bow. "So you want to learn something little girl? I'll teach you some history." He rose from the desk and walked in front of it. "I don't care what your mother thinks, but I'll teach you some American history if you want to learn so badly."
He leaned back on the desk and closed his eyes, remembering evey bit of historic knowledge he could remember. "The United States entered the second world war on December 7th, 1941 when the Japanese decided to join forces with the Axis powers of central Europe in an attempt for global domination. The bombing of Pearl Harbor ingnited a series of events that ultimately ended when the 'Manhatten Project' of the Americans produced what's now known as an atomic bomb. The Americans dropped 2 bombs on Japan, one in Hiroshima, the other in Nagasaki. The carnage that ensued has finally healed on the surface after decades of hard work and deal making between the two countries."
Ayumi began scribbling notes down as fast as she could as the substitue rattled off his knowledge in world war two history. No matter how fast she wrote, it seemed like she couldn't hear the words as fast as he spoke them. When he finally stopped Ayumi looked at her paper and realized....she hadn't copied anything that was really legible.
"Um...sensai. Could you say that again please. I can't write that fast, I need you to go slower."
The substitute dropped his mouth as Ayumi said she hadn't written a thing when suddenly the bell rang. He looked at his watch and turned aound to the desk, gathering his bag and papers. "Not today kid, class over. I'm getting something to eat, I suggest you do the same. Milk does a body good sprout." He stuffed the papers into his bag and bolted out of the classroom.
Ayumi gawked as she watched the substitue pack and run. She slumped her head and packed her books away. "Well, I hope I see Sempai at lunch, you can come sit with us Yoku. If you like." She stood up and waved at Yoku before heading off to the cafeteria.

Yoku nodded slightly. He would be happy to sit with his...friends. But where they really his friends? How would they react when the knew he was a murderer? He shook the questions off in his head and packed his stuff and walked away.
