This is for the sisters. If you are not comfortable posting something concerning girls only in the Question and Answer thread, you may do so here. While I can't keep all the boys out, please be respectful of the ladies and their privacy.

Ok, here's your first question. I went everyone's opinion. I know you can't get closse to or touch or anything like that with a guy, but what if you're engaged? I mean, you have obviously gotten to know each other and are ready to make a commitment to each other, so what do you guys think?

Sorry but I don't know much. Growing up in the US has disadvantages. I also know you're not supposed to see each other, but I'm going by Pakistani engagements.

Simply because the two people are not officially married. That kind of stuff is only allowed in marriage. Doing that during engagement can cause sexual arousing. Yeah sounds weird but Islam has rules to prevent almost everything bad from happening... xDDD!

Hah. Have seen a lot of pakistanis who use "engagement" as justification for their dating, then break off their prolonged engagement later.
So that really wouldn't make sense.

You can see the person you're engaged to only under supervision but not really touching. Just talking I guess... sweatdrop I think that's it.

I can really answer this question, my cousin did sign the contract last Friday and my father was giving her some advices while we were all in there.. He said never get alone in one room, cuz this is harram, you can make phone calls and you can talk to each other, and you also can go any where public but never get into one room alone... I guess there is nothing than talking making phone calls, eating at the restaurant, going to him when having a problem, paying your bills and your education money. That's all.. touching and not touching that's none of my business, but it's harram in the way my father told..
