Any stupid rules you don't agree with were you work,
I have one, if you want another postion in my company you have to turn in an internal application which is fine, but the stupid part is, that even if you are the only one who applys for a postion they have to interview you even though you already work for the company.

I work at a pet shop and one of our policies is if somebody asks for something, we WILL order it in, even if it's soemthing that NOBODY else will buy.
That's awesome, you say? No no, it blows because you can never order just one, it has to be a whole skid!

at the banquet hall, you can get fired for taking a juice box from the walk in cooler. anything else is fair game, but if you take a juice box god help you.

In the "Back of House" (ie: anywhere where answering phones is not the main part of your job) areas, there's an unofficial rule, where if you talk more than neccessary, or make too much noise, you don't have enough work & should be given more.
In other words, if you're having fun, you can't possibly be working hard enough.
My department used to escape this rule because our area was in the middle of where all the Customer Service agents are.
And then we got moved! Boo!

Jewels reminded me of a stupid rule for BOH at Pizza Hut (cooks, dishwashers):
If you're having fun, lazing around, or what not, someone gets sent home.
Okay, sounds like a good rule right? Because obviously there's too many people and not enough things to do.
Only thing is: usually the person who is working (ie ME) gets sent home. stare

Or, in the case of work, I'd have to pay for it - and then the dishwasher'll likely dump half of it and wash the glass (as per usual) We actually hide our glasses in random places throughout the kitchen. It's gross when you eventually find them (except mine, cuz I'm the only one who drinks water cool )

They've been in there for almost a year... I think. We actually hide our glasses in random places throughout the kitchen.
