I need to buckle down and finish work on the site. As such I am probably going to cut down the layout deisgns to ONE. That means you all have to go to the site here and pick which you like best. When I think it's pretty clear who the winner is, I will do the appropriate update.

I also would like for everyone to fill out these surveys:

If you are a Guardian you need to fill out a guardian survey and a Legend survey. If you have already filled one out, go ahead and look it over and post a revamped one. If you like what you have, leave. I KNOW the site is behind on new legends and owners and stages. I will fix that myself.

Likes & Dislikes: She isn't particular in her music, though her favourite band is, very dominantly, Hanson. She enjoys most forms of art, horror and comedy movies, as well as a good game of hockey. Her extremely large family is a result of her soft side to any form of living thing that she can take home.
Her biggest dislike is her brother, Pippin. He's pretty much the only thing in that catagory; she won't admit it, but she is rather jealous of him in some ways or another. Other than him, she's pretty much cool with everything else, as long as it doesn't turn out to be the straw that broke the camel's back.

Suds: Sudopholierghoiestur [Suds] is half of Ink's soul. They are interconnected no matter what happens, and her existance has made the pair "immortal", in a sense. Personality wise, she is Ink's opposite. What she is exactly is not determinable; she is best described as a lizard-hamster crossbread with rainbow fur. Her fur flattens against her skin in a way that she feels almost rubbery. Light coloured antenna adorn her head, and her eyes are wide and curious. Weak spikes line her spine from her neck down her thin tail.

Name: Azumi Nore (azumi)
Age: 23
Race: 50% Noir (no-arre) Werewolf
Appearance: Stands around 5'6" with pale complextion, a few freckles here and there. Her hair is usually constantly changing it's cut, but so far has remained it's pale blonde, the type usually found on children no older than four. Black rimmed glasses are always on the bridge of her nose to give seeing aide to wine hued eyes. The most distinct features are the large, fuzzy, black wolf hears that are usually perked up on the sides of her head and the very bushy black wolf tail.
Likes & Dislikes: Food, ancient texts, animals, and macabre are the four things that have been taken a likeing by her. Green tea and chocolate are a weak spot as well as a good ancient book. The biggest "like" in her current life is her Magical Mishap, Osso.
As well as having likes, there are always dislikes. One of those things are rude and ignorant people who act rash or prance about thinking they know something when they really don't.

New one's pending though. I love this pic, but it was kind of more of a dream avi thing. XD; I would indeed like winged anklets and an emo bag, but I do not have them and probably won't acquire them anytime soon. ^^;

Name: Io. Only gives a last name to those she utterly trusts due to... certain family complications.

Age: Appears around twenty or so.

Race: Demiling, or "false demigod." Long story short, she's mostly human, but has some offbeat innate powers, most of which only manifest in dreams.

Appearance: Somewhat short, around 5' 2", with a lithe but medium build. She has long light brown hair with gold highlights, which she normally keeps up in a high ponytail with her long bangs falling around the side of her face. She has storm-blue eyes and always wears glasses, though she doesn't particularly need them to see. Her clothing is usually some kind of blue-white-black-silver mixture, with an occasional red theme. She has a penchant for t-shirts and long overcoats or vests, and always wears a pendant, which is usually the cross pendant given to her by an old friend. (Currently, however, she has given it to Kanth as a good luck charm, and wears a key pendant instead.) She always wears a silver chain bracelet on her left wrist, and always carries a jet-black object of varying forms set with a blue gem. (This is Ebony Weapon, a shapeshifting, intelligent object she once uncovered in the world of dreams. It's usually in the form of a black guitar strapped to her back, but it can assume a variety of forms including one animate "golem" form.) Io can occasionally be seen with a white cat's tail swishing about behind her, but usually only when she forgets herself. Which is often. Er... nevermind.

Your approach/attitude towards 'parenthood': Io was a wanderer by nature before getting landed with her first kid, and it's been quite a change for her. She never really expected to have dependants, although she's the kind who can't say no, and loves working with kids anyway. Doing so all the time is a good bit more taxing than she expected, and it's quite alien to her despite how hard she tries. She tends to think of how her (human) mother raised her as an example, and has a simple policy of complete honesty no matter what question a kid might ask her. (Which isn't to say she's not put in an awkward position at times!) She's fair and caring as a parent, if a little clueless at times. The fact that she's always held onto her inner child like a drowning man to a piece of driftwood helps her immensely.

Significant Other (if any): None at the moment, at least not officially, and it's not a subject she's too keen on exploring in any case.

Other notable residents of your house (pets, etc): Other kids she's wound up with are a Fable, the eldest of them so far, and two Tenjutsu babies. She also has a Velveteen plush given to her by Kanth. Additional household pets include a Stymphalion kitten and a couple of Tonberries who tend to wander about making various sorts of mischief. Io also has a White Mushroom Heartless who tends to act as a bit of an assistant to her, helping her eagerly with various household tasks.

Because Io lives with Kanth, all of her pets and children also inhabit the household.

(Side note: I also have several Pokemon Genesis pets, but they exist in the PokeGen world on the side and therefore don't have an impact on these RPs. 3nodding )

Oh yes. You should all be warned that I ought to be called Io of the Insanely Long Character Profiles. XD;

History: First off, Io being a "demiling" ought to be explained. Basically, her biological parents are human, but a couple of extraplanar entities decided to possess them during conception for a bit of fun. sweatdrop Normally such occurrences do not result in actual children, but Io and her twin sister Bast were rare exceptions. As such, Io and Bast both developed rather nonhuman powers.

It should be noted that one of the extraplanar entities drew power from dreams, and one from darkness. Io got more of the dream power, and Bast more of the darkness. Both entities, however, had the common manifest creature of a cat.

Io's human family was actually quite prestigious, known for being talented magic-users. Io was never too fond of this, preferring to have been rather normal, but Bast reveled in the power of magic. Particularly destructive magic. Eventually Bast became fed-up with the bottled-up, behind-the-scenes feud between their family and a belligerent shapeshifter family, and with the help of one of the shapeshifters with whom she'd been having an affair, attempted to simply destroy them all out of frustration. Io opposed her, despite not being able to use the majority of her powers in the waking world, and somehow managed to wound her and drive her out. It was not without cost - many lives on both sides were lost, and much of the town they lived in was destroyed.

Ashamed, even of how she'd hurt her sister, Io gave her apologies and aid to the survivors before leaving. She knew the single-minded Bast would return first for revenge on her, and wanted to end her sister's hellish rampages without risking more family. She wandered from place to place for many years thereafter, looking for Bast when she heard word but otherwise knowing that Bast would most likely come to her.

Eventually she came across Hameln, where she was asked to care for Constantine, and resultingly began looking for a home to stay at for his sake. Coincidentally, she not long after received a letter informing her that she had inherited her grandfather's old house - though the letter was several years late in reaching her. Travelling to the house, she was surprised to find Kanth already living there, having received a similar letter on time a few years back. Although Kanth turned out to be a relation of the shapeshifters who rivalled Io's family, Io's grandfather wished for them to live together in peace for some reason...

Abilities:

Waking: Io can assume the form of a white housecat or a white panther at will. She also has some minor illusion, light, and thunder magic.

Dreaming: Io can assume many more forms, including a dragon, a bird, a tauric form, a merform, and simply growing wings. She also has some limited floating ability and a few other telekinetic powers. She can "possess" the form of others who appear in her dreams, though it often happens randomly and out of her control. On occasion she can assume a "phantom" form and pass through matter, though in such a state she can't do much other than observe. If she becomes highly angered or upset, she creates a "flare aura" made of sheer will that deflects most attacks, and often proves quite intimidating to others. She has pain dampening and fast healing in dreams, and can often toss opponents aside with ease, but due to her conscience any physical attacks she attempts are usually slowed and dulled, and have little effect. She dislikes fighting, and her own subconscious prevents her from hurting others in this manner. On rare occasions, and with a lot of concentration, she can to some extent control the world of the dream itself.

Io has her own personal dream world, in which she usually dreams, though she occasionally travels outside of it including into the dreams of others. She can also bring others into her dreams, either accidentally or deliberately.

Ebony Weapon: Ebony's golem form looks like a black flying serpent, hewn from stone almost, with a large gem taking up most of its head, a tiny beak, and holes in its wings. It has no legs, but twin segmented tails that end in diamond-shaped crests. Otherwise, it can transform into a variety of weapons and objects, including a bow (with energy arrows), a sword, a katar, a shield, an arm brace, a guitar, a pistol, a keyblade (did we not say that Io was a gamer? XD), a staff, etc. However, even magically enhanced these weapons are only as good as their wielder, and Io does not really consider herself a fighter nor has she trained herself beyond what she really needs for self-defense. She's best with ranged weapons, but otherwise relies heavily on her speed and quick reflexes. Ebony can follow Io into both the waking and dreaming realms.



Name: Vavalion

Gender: Male

Age: Baby, exact age unknown. A few months old is Io's rather vague guess, not that she knows much about babies.

Race: Aside from plain ol' Legend, he's a white serpent... boy... person... thing. Io thinks his scales feel a bit too much like metal and stone, but he still appears to be biological in nature.

Residence: Io and Kanth's not-quite-mansion house on a hill before a forest on the outskirts of a not-quite-city town.

Height: Baby-sized? Io hasn't bothered measuring him, but he seems more long than he is tall, somehow.

Eyes: Steel grey with flecks of gold. Reptilian, with slit pupils. He doesn't blink much, if at all, though he does have eyelids and can close his eyes. Io wonders if he's got a second, clear, permanent eyelid like snakes do, but isn't sure how to check. XD;

Hair: Pale grey-silver, shortish and wispy with a few long strands.

Other Notable Features: A serpentlike tail sprouting from the base of his neck at his back, the topside of which is covered in large, platelike scales as opposed to the small scales normally seen on snakes. These scales are white with a thin, almost ornate metallic trim around their edges. He also has slightly pointed ears and patches of smaller white scales on his pale skin. The skin on his chest and stomach becomes pale gold underbelly scales towards his lower abdomen. Also has beads made of certain stones and metals woven into his longer strands of hair. (Currently: Hematite and Copper.)

Powers: He appears to be able to sense emotions, which often affects his own emotional state. There's also something weird about those beads in his hair...

Talents: None have really shown yet, unless you count him causing people to gush over his cuteness. o_O; Or possibly his habit of trying to hit things he doesn't like with his tail. He's pretty accurate with that...

Personality: Vava seems quiet and timid, though curious and gentle-natured. He's shown to be easily confused, it being difficult for his young mind to properly analyze the constant emotional cascade about him, but he also appears to be a good adapter and seems to pick up on things quickly. He dislikes any negative emotion with exceptional vehemence, be it mere grumpiness or all-out rage. It can be difficult to calm him down after he's felt a more intense negative emotion.

Original Concept Origin: Well, one time a good while ago, I had a dream in which I travelled down the throat of a massive white serpent, and it was like a great marble hall lined with curtains. Some time later, when I was sketching out the various portions of my dreamscape, that dream popped back into my head. I decided to expand on the great serpent and use it as a legendary creature dwelling in the dreamscape. When Kanth used the Legend flatsale to lure me back to Gaia (effectively, I might add! XD), I expanded further on the concept for it, creating an entire backstory.

However, Vavalion's story is not yet ICly discovered. Io has found a book written in an ancient text that contains a story where his name is the title, but she can't understand most of the writing.

Name Origin: "Vavalion" is actually me misspelling/misremembering the name of a Gunstar Heroes miniboss. sweatdrop The name of the boss is actually Valvalion. It's a big golden serpent/insect thing that wanders about the screen while you shoot at its head. I thought it had a cool name, and it is a serpent thing, after all. The name just struck me as something that sounded mysterious and graceful enough to be the name of a legendary beast, even though I was remembering it wrong. (I wound up liking Vavalion lots better anyway. <3)

Since video games often take names and references from mythology, I was curious if the name actually did have any sort of mythical basis. Many Google searches showed nothing, however, even when I realized I'd misspelled it and searched on the actual name. I only got lots of Gunstar Heroes reviews and walkthroughs, and one guy who'd used Vavalion as his screen name on another forum. Which is interesting itself, but he didn't seem to have gotten it from anywhere in particular upon further investigation.

Curiously, in the sequel to Gunstar Heroes, Gunstar Super Heroes, which is mostly a remake with some new gimmicks, Valvalion is now a big mechanical gold serpent dragon that circles in and out of the water around you. Considering I created my legendary version of Vavalion before GSH came out, this is a bit frighteningly coincidental on the mechanical and water parts...

Name: Mikhael Spivak
Gender: Male
Age: Really Little.
Race: Muse/Human
Residence: Raife's House.
Height: Tiny.
Eyes: Sky blue.
Hair: Ink black and feathery.
Other Notable Features: Wings, both fake and real (crippled). A serial number tattooed into his lower back. A nasty looking scar on his throat.
Occupation: ...Well, he gets really occupied with buttons that he finds on the floor occasionally.
Powers: Inspiration.
Talents: Inspiration.
Personality: Rather shy and withdrawn, but stubborn and clingy when he gets to know someone. Knows and understands more than he lets on.

With the story obviously based loosely on greek muses, it's been twisted and shaped to my whims. Mikhael is the first muse/human child. An anomaly that should never have happened. It's a little less dramatic than cats and dogs having sex, but think a bit on that. His parents were killed by zealous muse separatists and he was sold to Spencer, a man-creature chimera that likes to dissect rare creatures. He spent his formative months of babyhood with Spencer, where he was mutilated. His wings were clipped and his throat slashed so he couldn't cry. He cowered in a cage until he was rescued on a lab raid by a group of protesters working against Spencer, one of which included my muse Trance. Because he hasn't had the training that muse children go through and because of his human ancestry, his powers are very unstable.

Although far from adjusted, Mikhael isn't the shell of the baby he was when he first came to Raife's. He's deep into toddlerhood and even learning to make small voiced noises and half-words. He'll probably never be able to talk at a normal volume, but he'll survive, as he always has.

Race: Human
Appearance: 5"4, oriental skin, green eyes, slender build with short red hair.
Significant Other: None and chooses to keep it that way
Other notable residents of your house: Her first child Linneas, a Fandangle, a Dream named Icing, a Feien named Avitus (will be two Feiens in the future the other being Dram), her 'grand daughter' Arya and the kitsune who co-owns the house/shop with.
Anything Else You'd like to say: There are currently four versions of Huni Pi running around Gaia, two are in Barton but living in opposite corners of the town, one in Durem and the fourth is in Hameln. Out of these four Huni's only two are aware of the existence of the others, namely the ones in Barton. What one Huni knows the other might not, hence it can get confusing keeping track of who knows who. Thankfully I can keep track, can you?

Race: Dranic-Human Legend

Other Notable Features: her skin tone resembles dark chocolate and is never seen dressed in anything but dresses/skirts.

Occupation: N/A child labor laws and all
Powers: As of the moment, she can manipulate generic Intangibles but can't do specific ones very well. She can also taste a person by touching them.
Talents: Baking stuff
Personality: As a child, Paestri is extremely cheerful and seemingly incapable of being offended, emotionally distressed or hurt. Everything is rainbows and sunshine, or thunderstorms and hail if those make you happy. She acts like nothing is wrong with the world even if she has been proven otherwise. The reason for this is that she's separated the negative Intangibles from herself and is immune to negativity. Which brings us to Malady.

Character of Significance: Malady is Paestri's Intangibles given an independent and living form. It has no gender and shall always be referred to as "It." Mal can't touch anything, and is only visible or audible to Legends. Sorry, even "gods" cannot see it, unless said "god" is a Legend. Mal may exist within the Legends RP, but it is still my character and it still has characteristics that I determine. Gods may know it exists, but they still won't be able to see or hear it. They can sense it, feel its vibrations and stuff, but that's all I'm willing to concede.

The Legend: There was an extraordinary baker who could give a person anything they wanted, be it the love of their life, a stable family, fame and fortune. So long as they met three conditions. Should any of these conditions be broken, bad things will happen. Said baker was Madam Paestri who uses the very special ingredients to make very special dishes.

However, her past is shrouded in mystery, thus far Paestri's Dranic-life has yet to surface. The only link to her true heritage is the book-shaped locket where letters were engraved onto it. A face of sorts lives in that locket and appears to give Pae advice every now and then.

Who is this face? What does it want from Paestri?
