I'm working on an Alice costume, which I asked for advice on in another thread. whee I'm almost 1/2 done with the costume, actually.. Both petticoats, shoes, stockings, I've even got an idea for the skirt.. just having trouble with the puffy sleeves. After I finish Alice I have to work on my Jedi costume. =X!!

I'm not currently working on anything, but I'm thinking of starting my next Halloween costume soon, since I have to make almost the entire thing. I'm going to be Columbia, from Rocky Horror Picture Show. I'm going to need a pair of sequin short-shorts, a gold sequin jacket with tails, and a matching top hat. I'm sure there's more, but those are the main pieces.

oo i just saw that movie for the first time two days ago..thats cool..i've never sewn with sequins before...is it hard? seems like it would be...its pretty early to start with halloween costumes but i guess its good that you wont have to rush to get it done at the last minute..thats always the case with me ><' ..i just finished the two costumes i was working on..one of them was a kimono and the other was a frilly shirt (my friend's and my anime cosplay for a party)...they were some what easy but i didnt finish them until and hour right before the party so there was mondo stress and random threads that i didnt have time to cut off..they looked good from the outside but the inside was a mess...

I've never tried sewing with sequins, but now that you brought it up, I'm thinking it probably is hard. Oh well... I'm a pretty good sewer, I guess.

Lol no, you can buy sequined fabric. I just hope I can find fabric with all different colors of sequins... I need it for the shorts...

That sucks. I used to think the Fabricland at my mall was shitty too, but I guess since then my style has grown up a bit more and I can always find something to make and the right fabric to make it out of.

Lucky...i heard there used to be one at the mall by me..before i was born..there isnt really much of a market for that sort of thing around where i live..gotta take a 45 min car ride to get to the store..well i guess its not that bad but still..

Yeah, I have a fabric store in my little shitty mall. The best things in there are the fabric store, the cd store, and the second hand cloting store. It's crap.
