I know that there are those among us who were born into Wicca -grins at Kari-, but for those who weren't, how did you get into it/ find out about it/ etc.? I'm curious. sweatdrop I personally first heard of Wicca through Cate Tiernan's books... In short, it a series about the main character Morgan's discovery of Wicca, and how it changes her life- finding out she's adopted, and really a bloodwitch, in a house of strict catholics... How did you come to Wicca? -EEEEE! Nuzzles cat who has climbed onto lap-

-Grins Back- My best friend Brenda before she knew I was wiccian.Had a dreams about it. she came to me one day and said she was having dreams about being a witch.She wanted me to go to a book store with her so she could find out more about it. That was when I told her about Wicca and my family.

I've read the sweep series by Cate Tiernan. I thought most of those books were pretty good.
I'm not really sure how I became interested in Wicca though. I didn't even know it existed until I was in 9th grade. I had a couple of friends who were into that sort of thing and then I eventually became interested in it. But it wasn't until the owner of the other guild I'm in invited me to join a guild that was for Pagans and fantasy loves on a different site that I really got into it and decided to learn more about it.

Is the sweep series "A circle of Ashes" and those books? (Can't remember the first book in the series)

You're talking about a different series, the most recent one... that I did not know about until now.
There are 15 books in the sweep series. The first one is "Book of Shadows" and the last one is "Night Child".

I have all 15 books of the series. Most of them I had to order online because the book store never had the ones I needed when I needed them, so you might want to try ordering it online.

Wow... Um.. I dont know.. I just woke up one day and I was into it.. I guess if I was to pick an event, it would have to be after a sleep over with my best friends.. we used a quiji board and found out our destinies. So ya..

Thanks- The major book chain in our area originally stocked the books, but eventually, apart from trying to sell giant piles of the same book for $4 as stock clearance, stopped selling them all together... My friend's dad works at a bookstore, so you'd think we'd able to order it through there, but... sweatdrop I will attempt to order it online- if they have it on Amazon, I'll persuade mum to order it when she does her next lot. ^^ @Kato: redface Thanks. smile

i met a guy by the name of mark welty when i went to houston and at the time i did not know what wicca was but he tought me a few things such as a rain spell that i used to put out the wildfires in the ukatan

My friend Ashes was reading a book and I asked her what it was. She told me a book about Wicca. She let me see it and I started rading it. Then my ex let me borrow his book, I had it for a while and got really into it. Then I looked stuff up on the net and here we are now biggrin
BTW, off topic but my ex is a loser. On his bookbag he has "only Jesus can judge me." Then he has a wicca book and says he is going to 'try it.' Now he says he is going to sell his soul to the 'devil' for immortality rolleyes
