How about book reviews? What was the last thing you read? Did you like it?

The last thing I read was Sense and Sensibility -thought it was time to revisit some old favourites, and it was gorgeous. Now I'm reading French Women Don't Get Fat. I wouldn't have chosen it myself, but a friend gave it to me for my birthday and I'm actually finding it really interesting! I may even give it a try!

The last thing I read was one of my old favorites. "Demon Blade" It is an old book but it made it to my collection of stand-bys. Currently laying around the room I have Michael Crichton's "State of Fear", I found it to be an excellent read and I particularly enjoyed the scientific aspect of the subject matter. Global warming. I have "Mosaic". The life story of Captain Janeway of Star Trek's Voyager series. Dave Ramsey's "Total Money Makeover". If you work and get paid, you have to read this. And last but not least, "Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone"

Well, it's not the last book I read, but it's one of my favorites and it's not very well known. Martin Eden (a novel by Jack London) is amazing! However, if you are as sensitive as my mom I would not recomend you reading it. I'm not easily affected and I was majorly depressed after reading it. But I still think it's way good, espesially if you understand the message behind it. The power of his words and his mastery of the language is incredible! You can't help but feel what the character is feeling. The character does, however, get extremely depressed. Hence, you will get depressed. But if you really like deep thinking, I highly recomend it.

I'm intruigued, but at the same time reluctant to read it because I don't really want to be affected like that...

I just got done reading "The Teachings of Don Juan" by Carlos Castaneva. His work fascinates me.
I highly suggest it to anyone with an interest in lucid dreaming or altered states of mind.

First of the series I read Kushiels Dart Next was Kushiels Chosen And i'm working on Kushiels Avatar... these are GREAT books.. A bit smutty if I do say so myself wink But very fantasy-like, adventure is included, but also tons of politics.. If you're interested in this type of stuff.. definately take a look! I enjoyed it very much!

Right now I'm reading The Da Vinci Code. I got it way back at the start of all the hoopla and never read it. I figured I should before the movie is released and I'm actually quite enjoying it.
Iceman, The Teachings of Don Juan sounds rather interesting, i'll have to grab it. Is it a novel or more informational?

Currently reading Death in Belmont by Sebastian Junger. Its about how the man who was eventually convicted as the Boston Stranger actually did work for his family while he was a baby. There is actually a picture of Junger, his mother, the strangler and 2 other men.
Finished it is an interesting read on prejudice and the justice system in the US.

Just finished the book Wicked that the musical is based on. It was pretty interesting to see a different take on the classic story/movie.
Now I am reading Manhunt. The 12 day search for John Wilkes Booth. So far so good.
