Rp between Daimyn and I. <33 Whiskers twitched with a single motion, as the lazy adult male plopped onto one side. His yawn echoed from his jaws as his mouth flung wide open. What a nice way to awake from an afternoon nap. His mane was heavy in sand, until he sat up, to shake the access particles from his fur. His tail flickered slowly back and forth as the mirage nearby began to amuse him easily. A sight only he could see; a beautiful small pond of hot water, surrounded by a lovely amount of damp, shiny palm trees.
Spit dropletts began drooling out of his mouth as he inched his way slowly towards an almost perfect scene ahead of him. It was like a dream come true! ... was the desert coming to an end, finally? His eyes blinked suddenly, as a figure came into view. His focus swapped for a moment, as the image ahead of him disappeared, while the moving creature ahead kept at it. ... was this a mirage, or was he finally about to get his paws on some company?

They were almost there.
That single thought was both a blessing and a curse -- after her sister's warnings about the Firekin pride, Motomilia wasn't sure that she'd find a home again within the Motoujamii. But she was stubborn as a wildebeest, and once she'd made up her mind, it stayed made up, for better or worse.
She'd left M'paji today so she could hunt for the both of them; what little prey there was couldn't be lost by a chance sound from the youngster. She'd smelled oryx earlier, they couldn't be that far off by now. What she wasnt' expecting was the scent of another lion. They were still a ways from the Blood; who in their right mind would be this far out in the searing heat of the desert?
She glanced toward the scent and thought she could see a red pelt through the rippling heat waves drifting lazily off the sand beneath her well-worn paw pads, but she couldn't be sure. She paused, then, waiting for the stranger to come closer if they chose.

Keenihabu'bwana kept his eyes locked on the figure coming into view, almost like a hawk keeps an eye on its small insignificant prey. His curious mind wanted to know more about this creature before him, although the pelt colour was faint, he noticed it seems to be in a blurry hue of red. Blinking rapidly a few times, his eyesight returned to look again. ... are my eyes decieving me?
Turning away for a few seconds, he thought. He was hoping it wasn't anyone he truely knew, although, he really only knew a few Firekin; one being his own sibling.
He had made up his mind. As he got up, he shook himself off once more, and slowly headed towards the blurry image ahead of him. It was a slow walk, since he was still unsure if this was another mirage, so he wanted to be sure before he came running over. Of course, it had been a few minutes, and the female continued to stand still. Then he was positive. He began making quicker strides, as he flung over to the point where the opposing lion stood.
He sat down a few feet from her, as he examined the lioness closely. She shared the red hued pelt as he did. ... was she from the Motoujamii? He continued to stare, before blurting out. ... are you headed for the pride of lions that way? He pointed over in that direction, almost looking retarded in doing so. He blinked, to await if she had anything to speak of.

Motomilia blinked back, taken by surprise at this male's bold and direct question. Cocking her head and narrowing her eyes, she considered him a moment before speaking. She had nothing to fear by answering with the truth, but she answered carefully. "Yes, I am headed for the Firekin. You are of the Blood as well, then? Your pelt shines red like ours, but you are a long way from home."

Yes, sister. I am of the blood. Its been a long time since i've set foot on this land, since my mother took me away. Turning away, he stared blantly at the sandy ground below his paw pads, in an attempt to think for a moment. When his view returned to the female, he smiled a bit. I'm sorry for being rude. ... my mother once called me Keenihabu'bwana. Although I was young, it was something I would never forget. My mother might no longer be here, but... her spirit remains in me. You don't have to refer to me by my full name, though. My sibling nicknamed me Keeni. He got up off of the floor, and padded a few feet in the direction of the Firekin lands, the light wind blowing his heavy mane around like dancing fire. ... i've traveled a long way across the land to come back to my home. I didn't leave previously on my own choice. It would be nice if you wouldn't mind joining me on the journey there, would you?

"I would be honored to travel with another of the Firekin,"she replied. "I am Motomilia, daughter of Kiu and Kinja, granddaughter of Makadari. But it's been a very long time since I too have seen the Motoujamii, for I left when I was very young; frightened off by the plague, I'm afraid."
She paused a moment, with a glance back towards where she had left the young cub. "Friends sometimes call me Moto," she said, ua light smile coming then to her maw before continuing. "I have another traveling with me, a young cub I picked up on the edge of the Pridelands. He is intended as a gift to my brother, as a kind of... token of my loyalty, I suppose. I hope you don't mind if he travels with us...?"

Keeni smiled and admired her. Its an honour to meet you, Motomilia. He peered ahead, the only thing on the path was sand. ... sand, sand, sand, sand, sand ... ... It was almost dizzy just looking at it in the boiling heat. At the female continued, her nodded.
Of course you can bring a cub with you. Children amuse me greatly. He grinned, almost being sarcastic as he spoke. He really hated the little runts, they were annoying as hell, unless they were the quiet ones. Those were the kinds he liked more than ever.

Motomilia dipped her head. "I left him over this way... follow me?"
For the first time since she had bid her sister goodbye several days before, she smiled as she turned and began to lead, her turquoise eyes lingering on his a moment longer than necessary.

Of course. The male grinned happily, and trailed up next to Motomilia. As he came next to her side, he looked her way, and stared at her, almost in a trance. How ironic for him to find such a pretty female in the middle of nowhere, he thought to himself. A slight chuckle left his mouth.
