A lean form moved slowly across the lands of the pridelanders, her pelt drenched in the new sunlight as the flaming sphere rose into the sky. Her light colored fur seemed to stand out against the dry grasses, but moreso against the companion she traveled with. Since she came to the lands, Palesa was always drawn close to Ta'Ziyan, as if the winds were pushing her to protect him like an elder sibling would.
Her soft brown eyes slowly shifted onto the object of her thoughs, and all she could do was sigh. He seemed to forever mope in his own dark thoughts, drowning in the depression of a lost friend. Seemingly hopeless in his search for the princess, Palesa knew that he just was missing a friend he had for so long. Turning back, she just continued to lead him on, for they were in need of a hunt.
Ta'ziyan's thoughts seemed to reflect the same thing. All he could think about was Kami, and how she was gone. She had left only a few weeks prior, but it felt like it had been forever since he had seen her eyes shine and heard her lighter ringing across the lands. Though it might have been young love, it was love none-the-less, and heartache was all he had left. Palesa had only kept him company, and held him in these lands.
Had she not been there, he would have left weeks ago. But she was keeping him alive, like a sister or mother, and was keeping him safe. That was why he wasn't moping in his cave, but out hunting by the light of dawn.

A large charcoal form trudged out from the den in which encased his family. He made a low yawn, stretching his sleepy limbs before moving off towards the boundaries. Everyday he'd gone off, reminsceing the fact of life from when he was a firekin slave to the posistion of hunter in this pride he hated so much. With sky blue eyes lurking about, he spotted the paleish green lioness along with the coppery toned one. However, Ta'Ziyan didn't ring a bell in Denahi's mind as he moved over to the other two lions.
"Lost?" His deep voice rang out, eyes narrowing slightly.

Palesa stilled a moment as the winds brought forth a scent from the dens. Turning her head just slightly, she used her eyes to catch sight of a dark form, before turning fully to glance to Ta'Ziyan. Not making an interest known from herself, and dimly noting that Ta had his head bowed and was ignoring the world like a walking slumberer, she stretched her lean for a moment before Denahi moved closer. It was not until he spoke up that she made a sort of mocking of surprise, her eyes narrowing to show she was not easily fooled.
"Us?" She asked with a raised brow, "I wouldn't call it that..." Her voice was like the winds, taunting with the light, dancing tone while she turned suddenly to glance back to her companion, sensing something was up.
All at once, the copper form shifted to a stand still, the nightmares as well as the rememberance of small cub coming back to taunt his eyes. Shaking his darker mane, he moved to hoarsly whisper into Palesa's ear.
"Let's go..."

"What would you call it then? Wandering the borders until one decides to find you and take you in? I haven't been here for long, but unknown rogues staying in this land could bring a threat to the pride." His ears tilted back to touch the fur above his skull, before peering at Ta'ziyan. Why was he so familiar...? ...It couldn't be...could it? There was only one way to find out.
"Leaving so soon? What, scared of me Copper?" The scarred male smirk. That line from him was oh so famous, and had happened to be brought done to his daughter without him even knowing it. Speaking of which, where was Bari?

He felt the blood drain from his form, stilling all movements as all that was left was the shape of a breatless male. Ta'Ziyan knew the line, and this time he knew it wasn't some mirage. Heart hammering, he made no mistake to look, or show anything, and suddenly decided this time he could deal with it. With the long fur of his mane sheilding his face, he turned towards Palesa once more.
"Let's go, this rogue is not worth our time." And it was true, for Ta'Ziyan was a large part of the pride, he was the heir's best friend, and had been in the pride for months. Though dispite that confidence booster, he still made no move to look at Denahi.
Palesa just watched with keen eyes before turning them coldly upon Denahi, "It would not be wise for something like you to face two at once. There is no way you would be able to take us both on, so keep your maw shut and leave us be." Hissing it all out, she narrowed her eyes sharply before turning away and nudging for Ta to do the same.

"This /pridelander/ isn't worth your time, Copper." Denahi flashed a toothy smirk, grinning oh so much to himself. He was hoping his encounter with the old rogue would traumatize the adult lion, but I guess that wouldn't work. Oh well, it didn't matter anyways at the moment.
"On the contrary, do you see these scars?" Denahi faced Palesa fully, showing the long gash running across his face, as well as the one from his mane to the base of his tail. "This is from a lion who is stronger than any two lions put together. I'm sure I could manage fighting off you two if it needs to come to that," He growled lowly. "I've already manage to rough him up a bit when I was just a mere cub, sure enough it'd be much more pleasurable for me as an adult. This time my mother won't be watching." He scoffed, flexing his claws but they did not meet any flesh.
"But you have a little active mouth for someone who is intruding to these lands. Like I said, I don't think the King or Queen would enjoy random rogues appearing here without any consent. My suggestion is you go talk to them to show who you are and pose no threat to the pride." Wow, was Denahi actually sounding nice? It couldn't be.

Glaring as Denahi spoke, Palesa took a threatening step closer to the pridelander who seemed to think he was royality. Ears flatening, she just stared with dark brown orbs that flashed with fire, annoyed at everything the dark lion spoke of.
"Listen here than, Pridelander, Ta'Ziyan is my charge, and as long as I walk these lands, no one will hurt him. Though you may have been protected by the god of all lions, it will do nothing to save you if I hear you lay one claw down upon his pelt. You may have done something in the past, but that was many moons ago, and times are changing now. So why don't you get over it, and just walk away." Pausing, she quickly added in a hiss, "And what I do with my time is my business only. Don't worry if I offended you, because you'll get over it." With that, she turned towards Ta'Ziyan and offered him a small smile.
Ta'Ziyan was silent through all of Palesa's ramblings, and suddenly he realized something. The lioness was fighting his battles. With that thought, he gently pushed her back with his maw and looked at Denahi with tired eyes.
"Look, I have the favor of the King and Queen, and have been in these lands since our first meeting. I don't know where you have been, but just like Palesa, you haven't been here. I don't know your past, and you don't know mine. So it would be best if we just leave it at that." His tone was tired, as always, and he seemed to just want to return back home and mope around his cave.
"Palesa will be visiting The King when she gains the chance...until then I am showing her these lands and teaching her the way of the Pridelanders." There, he had explained what was going on.

Denahi just seemed to ignore the pale grin female. Snorting slightly, his ears flickered towards Ta'Ziyan, his gaze still on the lioness before shifting to the Copper male. "Perhaps I can throw my daughter at you to teach her the ways of the pridelanders. She doesn't listen to me, or her mother who is the daughter of the royal bloodlines." The charcoal male said slowly, backing away from the two. "I guess I'll just let you guys be on your way then," he shrugged.

"That is if you daughter still wishes to be here..." Ta'Ziyan mumbled truthfully, before adding, "I saw someone who looked quite like you...a small grey cub who was wandering away towards the roguelands..." Nodding in the direction, he added, "It was a few weeks prior..." With that, Ta turned back from where they had started, and moved away towards where the dens were.
"Palesa...I am going to go back..." And with that, he walked away without a goodbye.
Watching him go, the lioness turned to gaze at Denahi before shaking her head.
"Good luck with your Daughter..." She murmered polietly, before turning as well and silently padding after Ta'Ziyan, not trusting him to being alone. In a matter of moments, the two had dissappeared in the grasses and the hills of the pridelands once more.
