Just wondering...do you like concert band more or marching band more?
I like concert band more, but marching band is less stressful.

I think just the opposite. Marching band is extemly stressful to me, whereas concert band I could almost careless about. MArcing is more fn, It is more chanlenging and I like the chanlenge. Also you get to play loud.

Marching band is the best. It gives you an opertunity to truely bond with everyone in band, and also the chance to meet people you wouldn't normally meet. It's the best thing ever.

Don't kill me, I never had marching band, I'm a middle schooler for crying out loud!
I love concert band, Mr. acciani...if I never met him...i'd be nothing right now :] i wouldn't be here.

I like marching band better because my band director is torturous. But fortuntely our drill instructor is awsome! I am a little afraid of my band director and he's not even a particularly good teacher, he doesn't know how to handle missbehaving students and yells too much (although according to the omniscent them he is a wonderful director). Also our marching band rocks and I'm in the lower concert band so we suck razz
I really liked doing marching band in middle school, but when I got to high school it got soooooooooooo much better! biggrin Marching band=life

^_^"" Well middle school marching band is just where we learn the fundimentals (fundies as we call them) and we get to march in the homecoming parade. No show or anything. But it was still pretty fun! =D

I absolutely love marching band because of the craziness and the awesome people (well most of them) but I don't worry to much about how well I play. redface I'm just in it for the fun.
Symphony band on the other hand I make sure I know my parts as best I can and really try in it.
I'm excited I'm learning tenor sax for marching band next year! Just thought I'd add that. smile

hehehe this is really quite random but your duckiness makes me think of this years senior prank. They stole a couple of ducks from the game preserve and let them loose in the school. It was sorta funny but then again I felt bad for the poor little duckies.

I like them both but if I had to pick one it would have to be marching band, in concert band I mess up more than I ever would, just because I'm under those really really hot light on our stage, I get hot and my fingers start to slip off of the keys(flute).
