After reading chapter 107 it seems as though Death Note is coming to some sort of end - whether it be the end of the entire manga or just the 2nd arc (but if Raito is dying, I don't really see how a 3rd arc could come about anyway).
Ryuuku surprised me a bit eek just a tad more than Matsuda did. But, I think what the shinigami did made a lot of sense. Besides, if he were to kill in order to protect Raito's life he would've died himself. I never really saw a particularly strong emotional connection between them (like Rem had with Misa) which would lead him to sacrifice himself anyway.
So what do you people think?
Is it all going to be concluded soon after or with chapter 108?
What do you think would be a good ending?
EDIT: Ok, so I read that it is definitely going to end with chapter 108. ;__;
Apparently Nippon something-or-other are going to make an anime out of it, too.
