I was wondering if they ever stopped making Suikoden games what do you think it would be like?
I think a classic bad guy empire would rise up and take over all the other kingdoms including the other big former badguys and you get every main character from past Suikodens. The last should also have all the True Runes. Also they let you recruit all the characters from past Suikodens except 4 cause it takes place far in the past only most wont count as the 108 stars.

suikoden will never die it will live on in the hearts of many like me....but serously if they ever stop making suikoden i will get suikoden fans to rise up and protest untill they make another one

Jasae Bushae i think this topic is evil!!!! suikoden shall never end!!! how is this topic evil I am just stating that eventually all things must come to an end and Suikoden is no exception I mean I use to love the Final Fantasy series but they have made over 20 games now and should just let that go. If Suikoden had 20 plus games I would probably get tired of them and so would most people.

Well isnt it obvious? I've said it before and i'll say it again, its all going to end when Viktor leaps onto Stallions back and they both start chopping up people in the blink of an eye. I don't care for any of these fancy true runes, before they could utter a word Viktor would impale them and then when everyones all dead its down to a final showdown between Viktor and Stallion... stare

There is only so much you can do in Suikoden, so I'm not surprised it it lasted for only, say- 10 games. Don't get me wrong, I love Suiko. It's been my biggest fandom so far, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
Anyway, back on topic...
I believe that the last Suikoden will deal with Yuber and perhaps beings from the World of Emptiness (that's the name of one of the Pale Gate summons, unless my memory serves to deceive me). Maybe Windy and Barbarossa will make a comeback- after all, there aren't any explanations to where they disappeared to after jumping over the castle ledge. I also believe that the grouping of all the people who possess the True Runes shall come together, and they shall see the outcome of the battle between 'Dharma' and 'Chaos', as stated by Luc. Maybe Luc will make a comeback, unless for some reason, he's saved from the Ruins, or is resurrected by Leknaat.
The final outcome of the battle between Pesmerga and Yuber will also be revealed, as said before by Konami, and we shall be able to see why Pesmerga has been chasing Yuber all over the continent. biggrin

Yay people that actually state what they think instead of just mindless Suikoden never ends also I was thinking that they would evolve the battle system so much that it might contain Land, Air and Sea units when you are fighting with your armies and they should have it so if you have saved files at the end for all the other games that you get a super bonus in number 2 it was a pretty good thing getting Tir and the rest but #3 i heard all that happens is when making references they use your armies name instead of like the standard City States army or whatever it was

But seriously, if a game runs long past its time, it'll risk becoming Final fantasy, which IMO is going down the hill. The charm of Suikoden lies in its captivating storyline, and like every great stories, there's a time for it to end on a good note. You don't see Tolkien writing 200 LOTR spinoffs do you?

Suikoden will have to end SOMETIME. Nothing can last forever. Possibly after all 27 Tue Runes are revealed. I am thinking that all past bearers of the True Runes will come back to battle one last threat to the universe. Hikusaak fans, please don't yell at me for this for this is my own opinion. I know the bearer of the Circle Rune raided hidden vilages to find True Runes and add then to his collection. Perhaps he will be the last boss for the last Suikoden.

For a very strange reason, I'm more to considering Yuber as the final boss more than Hikusaak. Considering the fact that Hikusaak was in the Hero's War (the war when Hikusaak brought down Aronia and established Harmonia), I have a feeling that he'll be playable as a Tenkai Star. Not in the last Suiko, of course, but more of one of the other installments. Interesting observation? Maybe. Fangirlish opinion? Definitely. biggrin And in other news, there is rumours that Konami and Hudson have begun work on Suiko V. biggrin
