Genji is currently: Asleep on Nevaeh's cot with Kale and Teal.
Her hide color: A lightly glowing gold.
Time scheduled to rise: In rp time: The day after this one. In RL: Sometime this week hopefully.

NOTICE: If no one pms me by thursday the 17th I will have Tara remove this thread and a NPC flit will catch Genji. It's all I ask that if you want to participate in the flight pm me so I know someone will be participating and I won't be rping by myself here. sweatdrop

In the early morning before the sun had even breached the morning sky, Genji awoke with a start and sprung from her place on Nevaeh's cot. Quickly she left the Weyrling barracks and flew for the feeding areas. Her sights set on a random wherry, Genji attacked him with her claws digging her fangs into his neck and draining him off his blood.
Once she had him completely drained she launched from his corpse and dove for her next draining him as well. Then with all she the blood she could handle Genji let out her call calling any male willing to her. Making sure all the male flits heard her challenge Genji launched into the air ready for any to come for her.
This flight is now OPEN! Post on!
((EDIT: This flight is taking place the morning after the current day at Fort and before dawn so no human should be up that is unless you're one of those who goes to bed at sunset and wakes with the roosters who wake just before dawn.))

Sitting, doing really nothing, and anxious for some reason, Tao sat on a branch outside the weyr. Why wwas he so restless? Something, something was going to happen, he, like the other flits could sense it. And then, it finally came. That call. Eyes whirling in anticipation, Tao bugled in response to Genji's call. Muscles flexing in his powerful hindquarters, he launched himself off of the branch, springing into the air like a shot. Bronze hide shining in good health, he flew to where the call had come from.
He saw her then, like a rising golden star, she danced in the air upon wings touched with fire. Crooning, he rose into the air, his violet eyes watching her every move. On strong wings, he trailed her, rising so that he was above her, and could watch her move. He wasn't stupid enough to follow directly behind her, everyone knew that was setting yourself up for getting beaten by multiple tricks. His wings quivered slighty in the air, the sinews ready for any sudden movements that he would be required to follow. this would be His gold, his queen. His and no one else's.

Genji glanced up at Tao who was flying above her now. The silly bronze was a little smartes than she thought but not smart enough. She still had plenty of tricks she could pull without even flying higher. He didn't have a chance to catch her she was uncatchable and her attitude showed it.
Some of her most favorite manuvers were the fake outs. She took to one of her most favorites the weave. In some of the sharpest turns ever seen done by a gold dragon or flit Genji swirved from left to right in a chance to confuse Tao who so far was her only pursuer. He would be lucky if he caught her.

Tao followed Genji with his eyes, swiviling his head to find her movements. As she dodged swiftly to the left, he followed, turning his wings to achive more speed. And then...she was gone! With a surprised warble, he stopped, before he saw her on the other side. She had moved fast, faster than he had thought. No matter. Determined, he followed her, only to have her duck away again. Starting to understand, he followed again, but more slowly, catching on to the fact that as he gained on her, she would abruptly change, causing him to overshoot. Hm, that trick wouldn't work forever.
Flying out to the side, he flew towards her once again, but thins time slowed as she began to turn. He flew towards her, yet she still evaded him. Crooning, he tried again, wings propelling him through the air, and tail acting as a rudder, steering his movements.

Farth had been sleeping, but the gold call had jolted him awake. Looking about he launched himself into the air and went between, appeaing outside within sight of the gold, and his only compition, a bronze.
Even from below the turns looked shaper than any Farth had seen. He gave an suprised cheep, and gave chase after the gold. Flapping his wings hard he began to gain the altitude he needed, but even so Fath was a long way from the queen he chased. Even so the brown was not daunted by the task ahead. This bronze was not going to have an easy time of the flight, because now he had compition.

Small, bonded to the newly made Candidate, Igrain, felt the presence glow in his brain, if not in his vision. He squawked as he realized that he might be too late in this Flight, what with a bronze and brown already pursuing. Small, his hide darkest mahogany, launched into the air and viciously cut across the paths of his competitors, waving his wings in their eyes, just to make them painfully aware that he'd joined the chase, so they'd better keep their eyes peeled. Small was a tricky one.

Glint stretched his wings. That had been a good hunt. Lapis, his blue partner in crime, began feasting on the wild wherry they had brought down. Glint's eyes whirled in delight as he too began to tear chunks of meat from their quarry. Suddenly a loud call echoed about him. The bronze rumbled softly. That had been a challange. Glint took to the skies whilst the young blue ignored the call of the rising gold.
The bronze flit slipped into between and appeared in the middle of the chase. A cocky brown was doing childish aerials. Glint snorted, all he was really doing was cutting his chances moreso because the brown's behaviour irked the bronze to no end. He'd never lose a lower color. He emit an intimidating bugle and roughly cut him off right as the brown had attempted to cross his path. With powerful wing beats he then set off pursuing the darting gold.

Small snapped and hissed at Glint's attitude. In his mind, the brown was better than any bronze. For that matter, no bronze was better than any brown, really. And he was certainly Genji's equal, and he'd prove himself her equal. He made much effort to sabotage Glint, just to show him that that attitude would get him nowhere. He let his talons stray into the bronze's path, as if it was an accident - accidentally on purpose.

Genji kept up her weaving pattern for quite sometime keeping her eyes on her suitors that were coming in, in swarms. At least she knew that these flits meant business when it came to her. It was true these flits had some tricks up their sleeves but so did she. She was nowhere near ready to give up just yet.
With some of the strangest manuevers ever Genji dove downward and leveled out heading in a totally different direction which just happened to be back towards the males. She had her plan set and when those silly males came down for her she would head up going as high as she could without being intercepted. Now all she had to do was wait for the males to make their move for her and she would set her plan in motion.

Glint snorted at the brown's attempts to sabotage him with a manuver the bronze had done to win the last flight he had been in. (*points* see Lira's flight below) Already the brown was forgetting why he was here in the first place. The tiny claws were near, but he tucked his wing in and swooped into a lower position easily evading them. He'd keep a close eye on that one. He gained enough distance so that he was close to the head of the swarm. Another gold for him to fly, he rumbled at the thought. He fixed his stare on the shimmering gold. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew...greens were quicker changing directions all he had to do was pay attention.

Farth was below one of the bronzes, but he'd gotten above most of the other who'd arrived later. Flicking his tail he checked out the others who'd shown up. There were a few bronzes, and he snorted at the sight of the browns. He could out fly any brown, and the bronzes would be a challenge, but a meetable one.
Back flapping for a moment in surpirse he watched the female flit come flying back to wards him. He was surprised and backwinged in place. She would make the next move, and the one after that. Other males could tired trying to catch her,but he knew better. If nothing slse, flying about with his green clutchsisiter had taught him that this would not be so easy as the bronzes seemed to think. She would not be caught 'till she was ready, and he would outlast the others to catch her.

Just then Genji changed directions. Glint threw open his wings. The bronze's wingsails slowed him down and kept him from potentially crashing into the gold flit. His eyes stayed on the queen as she dove straight down. Every instinct demanded he swoop down with the majority of the swarm, but something held him back. He did follow her down but warily remained at the back of the swarm. It was too early in the flight to be thinking about catching her, there was no point in congregating around her. Now, he just had to keep up.

Small didn't bother following Genji. It wasn't that he'd guessed her motive, but he wanted to conserve his energy for when she truly tired. He remained transfixed, following her glowing gorgeous self with only his eyes. In the end, he knew he would have the upper hand over the bronzes, since this gold seemed to like doing turning maneuvers, and being smaller, he was more agile than any bronze by half. That would show the arrogant swine. He found bronzes loathsome; they thought they were so great just because they were shiny.
