So we all knew it was coming (right?); the special 1 hour event on KidsWB with the new voices. But my GOD, who thought it would be so awful?! I was pissed when I first heard they were getting new voice actors, and especially pissed when I heard that they would imitate the original cast, but honestly, how hard is it to imitate Ash? I can do it better than the new voice actor! If I had a mic I'd prove it. : D But seriously, weren't they terrible? At the least they should have just done entirely new voices, but no, they had to badly imitate the current ones.
I don't know about you guys, but I was friggin in love with James' actor. They totally killed him. Ugh.
At least the rest of the season will use the originals!

I just got done watching the pokemon special. OMG you are right the voice actors are terrible. The one who does Ash now sounds like the guy who does Zatch from Zatch Bell.

Awful shouldn't be the word, horrible is what it should be. What the heck are they thinking? If these voice actors are one time then I'll be happy, if not, then I'm writing a complaint letter.

I was all excited that there was going to be another movie with Mewtwo in it, and then they went and ruined it with the horrid voicing. Plus, I thought the entire idea was stupid, personally. AND, Mew and Mewtwo were way too weak, even if they were 'Mirage Pokemon'.
The whole Mewtwo not talking wouldn't have bothered me if they didn't make him sound so retarded when he roared. I've always thought that if he couldn't talk that he would sound similar to what a large cat like a lion would with a nice fade out echo effect to it. But...not what they made him sound like.
Overall...I am just very disappointed.

I say they should re-voice the whole thing with the original voice casters. Some part of me is still disappointed at how these so-called new one's did it.

They're contract with 4kids ended at the end of 2005. That's why they have new voice actors. So now when the next new season of pokemon airs it'll be them.

But KidsWB is cutting off Pokemon after the next season I believe, so you'll only be able to watch it on Cartoon Network, and I'm too poor for cable. crying

Well...even if they do stop airing Pokemon...I think that's okay.
It had a good run of around 6 years, and I think the new voicing sucks.
Especially the voice actor for Ash. That just pissed me off.

Saturday morning was just disappointing all around for me.
The horridness of this Movie...and the dubbed version of the 2nd to the last episode of SonicX.
But that's another story that Icy won't go into.

Sadly the movie wasn't very interesting. As usual, the storyline seemed to have been watered down greatly. An hour didn't give it justice. The enemy really had no opportunity to commit something evil. I did like the fact that Mewtwo actually physically hit his enemies. Usually, animes on that Network show someone pulling their fist back, then the enemy flying off.. but never actually the punch connecting. So I guess without 4Kids some progress is being made.
