Okay I recall the Soul-Eater True Rune that Tir McDohl had in the first Suikoden. In the 3rd though its only about 3 True Runes the Fire, Water, and Lightning same as in 3rd so far. Anyone know what happened to that True Rune because it owned!

Do you mean what happened to the soul eater? Because even though it owned they can't put it in every game, it'd just get stuid after a while. And the third focused on 5 true runes, the water, fire, lightning, earth, and wind. So the true rune sighting count in the games is at what now like 12?

Well if they made another game with Tir or even just about Ted and his adventures with the Soul-Eater. I'd play it. biggrin I mean... people play finaly fanstasy still right?

ya, i think they just started focusing on other true runes, because, you know, there are a lot of them.

I think it was wise of them to focus on some other true runes and I hope they do in Suikoden 4 as well. There are a lot of runes we haven't seen yet and I would like to know what they do and what they are called. I wish November would get here faster (Suikoden IV come out then)

Maybe I'm over analyzing, but I've seen something of a hidden meaning in the true runes that have been the focus of the games so far
Suiko1: Soul Eater - Can bring about the end of the world if its true powers are unleashed, or at least mass destruction that would be very hard to contain and if it couldn't be then it would bring about the end of all life. Basically what is ultimately to come
Suiko2: Rune of the Begginning....This one is obvious. The new begginning that comes after conflict or what has been.
Suiko3: All five of the elemental True Runes, or the world as it is.
Suiko 4: Known focus - Rune of Punishment....perhaps what should be?
Yeah I'm a dork and I'm probably over analyzing, but it's a little fun to speculate, right?

Well I was kind of curious cause I never got all 108 stars in Suikoden 1 because after I beat it first time he walked off and I let a friend borrow it anmd it got scratched badly so I couldnt get the best ending. I was just kinda curious though cause it seemed to have dissappeared. If I was an evil dude I'd be after that rune but oh well.
Also I got like over 90+ stars now and I cant get anyone else by scouting for them in Suikoden 3 because there is no one else to scout for. Are the rest of the people auto joins?
I can't seem to beat the water dragon either. I have Geddoe, Edge, Futch, Bright, Shiba, and Landis all 50+ in my party. Any battle stradegy suggestions?

As much as I love Soul Eater(My favorite rune^^), I think it's also good to leave out for a bit as well. Mcdohl can't always come to the rescue to help the hero, they need to learn on their own. Besides it makes me more anxious to see it again in the later games.

There's also the BlueMoon rune which belongs to Sierra, The Rune of the Gate, and The Star Dragon Sword which is the manifestion of the Night Rune

the life and death rune is the coolest (aka the soul eater which is only a nickname for the life and death rune.) but you got to consider the fact that it kills everyone close to the user. Ted, Teo, Odessa, Geremio (even though he was brought back to life.
