How many of your have heard Yeston's version of Phantom? Do you like it more or less then ALW's? I personally have only heard "You Are Music" but I fell in love with it. I'm yet to hear anything else.
On a random sidenote: For our collage concert (where the tops choirs and bands play together) we did this really fun ALW Medoly. It started with Phantom of the Opera, then was Music of the Night, then Don't Cry For Me Argentina, then Jesus Christ Superstar, then Memory, and finally Go, Go, Go Jospeh. It was so much fun. In the middle was the Herald's song from Jesus Christ Superstar and we all broke down dancing. It was amazing fun. And I just loved singing Phantom and Music because it just filled me with so much energy. It's probably one of the best colaborations ever 3nodding

There is, actually, in addition to Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom and Yeston And Kopits, there is another musical by Ken Hill.
< 3 I like Ken Hill's Phantom.

xd I am in loooooooooooooooove with the Y&K soundtrack. heart I own it. I love it. smile
"You Are Music" makes me cry.
And I am in LOVE with "Melodee De Paris." It's so amazingly awsome. xd
And, the other one I'm utterly enamoured with is the one song during the Bistro. I forget what it's called, but... <3

"Phantom" is really good, but I still prefer Webber's musical.
I've never listened to Kevin Hill's version. sad

I'm with Syd.
I've only heard clips of Yeston and Kopit's version online. I liked what I heard, but I've never made a stretch to get the soundtrack. I've heard good things about Ken Hill's version too.

The Yeston/Kopit musical makes me smile. It lives in my car.
It's Disneyified Phantom at best, but the music gets stuck in my head whether I want it to or not and while the music is not at all bad, I think the lyrics are absolutely wretched. x) Yeston's music is above average but his lyrics are abyyyysmal. Either way, it's worth one or two listens and is pretty good if one doesn't take it seriously. (I've found this is my strategy with regards to most POTO incarnations. whee )
