Well, if someone would pay for my plane ticket from VA and registration, pick me up at the airport, and give me a place to crash and rides to the convention, then I'd go. xd Seeing how that's not likely, I'll have to pass, with a promise of "I'llt ry to save up money to go next year".

an understandable sentiment Langlen
seeign as I live 45 minutes from the anaheim convention center one can see why I got the 4 day pass
now I plan to save all my extra money for the next two months to use as spending money for the venders hall and such

no, Anime Expo is held at the Anaheim Convention center on July 1-4 and is arguabley the largest Anime Convention in the Country.... ti regularly draws accomplished voice actors, vocalists, and mangaka last year we had Kouta Hirano (the mangaka for Hellsing) show up for a panel

Seems the past few years they've been attracting J-rockers. xd Although it seems very unlikely that Dir en Grey will play at Otakon this year, since they're touring with KoRn on the Family Values Tour.. I wonder what band will come this year to Ota?

I wonder what band will come this year to Ota? last years AX drew an Jpop star who actually did opening themes for several anime (her name slips my mind at the moment though).... She even held a concert there on the grounds (though I lacked the funds for a ticket by the time I remembered) we also had the vicalist who voiced Kyu from fruitbaskets present as well as the artist from the FMA movie they have not finalized the list for this year yet so it si hard to say waht is planned... though they have confirmed that soem artists from CLAMP will be holding a panel this year and that fpr the first time American voice actors will be in attendence (Vic Mignogna and Laura Bailey for the record) EDIT: For those who are not familiar the former voiced Edward Elric among others and the later voiced Tohru Honda (from Fruit Baskets) as well as Rayne (from bloodrayne)

I want to save up for the merchants hall at AX since last year they had ornamental KAtana's for $20 and an actual function reverse blade KAtana for $200-$300 and that is not even mentioning the deals on anime and collectables (I saw a transformable escaflowne fig at the bandai booht for $60)

As I posted in the Fanime Sticky, Anime Expo is roughly in 10 days for England, although it's actually 27 days. Because I just looked on the website. sweatdrop But yeah, it's being held in London over here.
