So I have a Netflicks subscription (eternalhearts@yahoo.com if anyone wants to friend me), and, despite KNOWING that I have a huge list of movies I want/need to watch, I only have about a dozen on my list right now.

SO, if anyone wants to make suggestions, please do so. I'm actually hoping we can make this a sticky so that we can all share movie idea with each other.

Stickied! 3nodding

My sister is on netflicks, and Jason wants to be now that there's no Hastings where we moved. He's the complete movie buff and has to buy at least a movie a week rolleyes and our DVD collection is growing like nothing else!

I hardly ever watch movies, but when I do it's noteable. I want to watch The Notebook because I hear it'll make me cry, and I love movies that make me cry!

Last night we watched The Saw because I heard it had a twist, and I love twists. I'm not sure it was my kind of movie, but it wasn't "dumb" like I expected it to be. It was more like the movie Se7en which made me think. Kind of disturbing though.

Exactly what i thought when i saw Saw...alot like Se7en, but not. When i saw the ending my mouth literally dropped open. I was stunned.

I LOVED The Notebook! That was such a good movie! I went and saw it with my cousin in Louisiana and her mom had just recently passed and she suffered from Alzheimer's, so it made her a ball of tears. Make sure you have a ton of kleenex.

I love movies! We rent about 4 a week and try and see one at the show on Sunday....man that's alot of movies! We're supposed to go see National Treasure today. Just rented Ray...that was amazing! I love Ray Charles anyway. Ummmmm....what else have we seen? OH! Cursed! that was good if you like Werewolf movies, plus it had Pacey from dawson's creek in it *yummy* We also like Japanese horror (Ringu, The Eye, Shikoko, St. John's Wort, Tomie....) and I of course love all those girly movies like Little Black Book, Uptown Girls, Raising Helen, First Daughter.....

Okay I'll shut up now. I'm gonna go back to watching Monty Python's Holy Grail.

I'd love to help, but I never have the time for movies... I do hope you enjoy them though.

We used to use Netflix, but quit for a long while, and just this past week got back with it! Right now we have Fast and Furious (I've been playing NFS:U2 much too much!), Troy (which we haven't watched yet) and The Thunderbirds, which was cute, and was directed by Jonathan Frakes, otherwise known as Will Riker from ST:NG. smile

I wasn't interested in Saw due to it looking like a blood bath... is it? A twist ending sounds intriguing, I will admit. But then, I'm a psychological thriller sort of scary movie person. The Ring is the scariest movie I've ever seen. I was trembling for a full half hour after that one. Other than that, I like fantasy movies, adventure/mystery sorts (first example that comes to mind is Kiss the Girls), and light-hearted romance/comedies.

I certainly wouldn't mind suggestions either! I'll be sure to keep track of this thread! I'll let y'all know what I think of what I see too. Hehe... our own movie critic thread!

YAY stickiness!

As for The Saw, oh man, I've heard about it, and don't think I want to watch it. I just heard it's wicked gross. I probaly will watch it in time, but I know Dani won't watch it with me.

We actually JUST went to see it last weekend! Next weekend we're hoping to see Hitch. I love working at a University that has a discount movie ticket program.

I need to pre-order Phantom of the Opera, I loved it so much! It's my favorite movie right now, and very similar to the show.

It's not a blood bath. And it's not really gruesome either. And it's not dumb psycho-killing like some movies. It's more like Se7en. A smart serial killer (of sorts) who really thinks things through thoroughly ahead of time before putting his plans in action, and does it for a reason.

Oh, and about The Ring, that was the scariest movie I've ever seen. They did a really good job at making it psychologically scary. The Saw wasn't really psychologically scary, but frightening to think of the possibilities of being in that same situation.

Hee hee hee...We just saw that today. BabyBipper's first theatre movie.

What is Netflicks? Just wondering. I get all my movies when they come to pay-per-view or buy 'em on disc.

(Watching SpongeBob movie right now. Maybe I'm just sad, but I really like it. )

Correct me if I'm wrong, I think netflicks is a website owned by... Blockbuster? And you get to pick out like 3 movies and get them mailed to you, and you keep them for however long you want, and once you mail them back, you get 3 more. And this is all for a monthly fee, and you get something like 2 free instore movie/game rentals as well.

See, I was really disapointed in the Ring. The little girl kinda creeped me out, but that was about it. I'm really not one to be scared by scary movies anymore. I will add The Ring 2 to my Netflicks for when it comes out, just to see it, but I really don't have a huge interest.

Not owend by Blockbuster, but they do have their own program. Other than that, you are right. It costs about $20/month and you get 3 movies at a time for as long as you want. You don't even have to pay to send them back--they provide you with pre-paid envelopes. And, you can have several people on an account all with their own lists. You still only get 3 at a time, but it'll come in their name so you know that you don't want to watch it (ie: I'm into anime and Dani's not--when something arrives in my name, she puts it aside).
