[-RP Log 1-] Warning: Contains some language and blood. He knew he was in trouble when he woke up that morning. He'd known for days that the full moon was coming; he'd felt it. He had been sneaking out at night for short periods of time, but tonight ... he needed to be gone the full night. If he didn't go, he wasn't sure what would happen, but he didn't think it would be pleasant. The problem ... was Kyrion. He didn't know how to tell him that he needed to be gone for so long. Or why. He couldn't very well tell him the truth. He sighed slightly, staring blankly at the wall."I know the architecture is of fine quality, but I daren't think the wall is quite that interesting." There was the soft pad of bare feet as Kyrion came up beside the other, one long-fingered hand resting on a shoulder. He smiled, tossing pale blue hair with a slight movement of his head. He jumped slightly, having been lost in thought, then turned to look up at the other. "Mm ... not really, no," he replied after a moment. He leaned into that touch just a bit. It scared him a bit to think that he was probably going to lose him ... lose this. And then he'd be alone again. His touch slid from Sor's shoulder...up his neck and into his hair, "Just wondering..." Kyrion had paid more attention than it seemed to his strange lover...rumors buzzed but the cerulean-haired man was a noble...and nobles could do as they pleased... But he had more than a soft spot for Sor...He made a quiet sound at that, and had he been another type of animal, he might have purred. "Ne, Ky ... " he started, then trailed off. He -still- didn't know how to ask about this. Not without ruining everything. And it wasn't helping that he could also tell it was likely to storm tonight. And that wasn't going to help his case at all. It didn't even matter that he wouldn't be able to -see- the moon, he knew it was there."Yes?" He asked quietly, slipping behind him and sliding the other arm around his waist. He could tell that something was off, but he couldn't pinpoint it. He was usually good at reading people but sometimes Sor just baffled him completely. He wondered why that was.He sighed slightly. Might as well just say it. "I have ... somewhere I need to go tonight. Like, all night." Well. Sort of. That was most of it, anyway."All night?" He asked softly, "What's so urgent?" There was an inquisitive worry to his voice, "You know it's dangerous out there." The wolf threat was becoming more and more real every day...that and the territory was just plain bad.He hesitated a moment, leaning back against the other. "I know. I'll be fine though, I promise." He didn't answer the question."Sor...it can't be that important...can't it wait till tomorrow? There's a storm brewing out there." That and he was quite convinced he wouldn't sleep without the other beside him. He'd had nightmares before Sor came...and had been positively irritable. He sighed and shook his head. "No, it can't ... I have to, Ky." He caught himself just before mentioning he knew about the storm already. Ky likely knew because of the weather instruments he had ... but Sor hadn't looked at those today, so there shouldn't be any way for him to know. The noble sighed, "Isn't there something you'll let me do? What's so important?" Sor had yet to elaborate and that worried and vexed Kyrion all the more. What was his lover up to anyway? He knew what this was doing to the other ... even though they hadn't been together that long, he could pick up stuff like this. "You can't help me with this, Ky ... I'm sorry," he mumbled."Sor..." The noble was experiencing a small moment of panic and his hold tightened a fraction, "Please tell me you aren't leaving me..." When the other had shown up Kyrion hadn't known where he had come from...nor anything about him...and when it came down to it he still didn't know that much...but the noble...aloof to everyone else...had found an anchor in Sor...someone he not only cared about, but depended on....it was ironic in a way.He brought one hand up to wrap around the other's arm across his waist. "No, I'm not leaving you ... not ever, unless you want me to," he replied. "Just for a night, then I'll be back." Until the next time there was a full moon. Dammit ..."And you won't tell me why?" He asked again, quietly...hand snaking upwards across Sor's torso. It bothered him a lot that the other wouldn't 'spill the beans' as it were...did he perhaps think that Kyrion himself wasn't to be trusted? His eyes lidded slighlty, where the other couldn't see ... and he lowered his head just a bit. "I can't ..." It would ruin ... everything. He knew in the back of his mind that just keeping it a secret could very well do the same. But to tell ... that would surely ******** it all up.He frowned slightly, the expression marring the aristocratic features. "I see." It upset him...a lot...and for the first time he started to doubt his lover. Kyrion wasn't usually of a questioning nature...but this was -Sor-...and he cared about him...which strangely made the noble even more paranoid.Even if he couldn't see the other, he could feel that in the way the other tensed against him. "I'm sorry, Ky," he said quietly, going still. He truly did sound sorry, but not in the least as if he would back down.Just not sorry enough apparently... "I know..." This just frustrated him...made him want to kill a few somethings...which he knew was not at all the proper way to handle it. He resolved, however, that he wouldn't even try to sleep, but would wait up for Sor...it was something at least...made him feel less useless. That tension stayed in the air all day, making the both of them more and more miserable. But he wouldn't say anything else on the subject, not that Ky asked much else. When it started to get dark, he glanced toward the door, feeling that call even as the first rumbles of thunder started outside. "Ky ..."He sighed, "You really are going, aren't you?" Kyrion touched the other's face, stroking Sor's cheek with the back of his fingers. A lonely night this would be. But he'd been hoping against hope that somehow...the other would change his mind...that...somehow...Kyrion would be more important than the whateveritwas that Sor said he -had- to do...the something he wouldn't tell even his lover. He nodded, then leaned a bit closer and kissed the other lighlty. "Yea ... don't worry, I'll be back as soon as I can."He smiled weakly, "I know...and I'll be here...but you can't tell me not to worry, because I will whether you like it or not.""I know you will ... " he replied, smiling back. He kissed him once more and flicked at one of those long bangs. "See you later, Ky," he said, then turned and headed outside."Take care, Sor..." The noble went to one of the windows...wanting to watch the other for as long as he could see him. No matter how many people inhabited this place, it always felt so cold to Kyrion...except when Sor was there.Knowing the other would be watching, he didn't turn back until he was nearly out of sight, and then it was only to wave. And once he -was- out of sight ... of the house and the city, he dropped his human form with a slight shudder and a grateful sigh. It did get tiring to constantly hide his true nature, but most of the time he didn't care. Tonight though ... he lifted his head up, sniffing the air. The storm was close ... but it wouldn't bother him, not when he knew the moon was above it. He took off running after a moment, just enjoying the play of muscle on muscle and being able to connect with nature in a way he couldn't inside the city.Kyrion sat cross-legged on the bed, resting his chin in one hand and staring out the window across the landscape. Sor...why couldn't he have stayed? Worry and doubt plagued him...and he knew he had better not sleep tonight...he'd feared the nightmares before this...he couldn't even begin to imagine what they might be if they came to him this evening. He didn't go too far from the city, even so ... much as he would like to just run straight out into the wilderness, he had to go back in the morning. Because he really didn't want to leave Ky. As in tune as he was with the elements, he didn't even really notice how bad the storm was getting. He was part of it now, so it was easy for him to dodge around lightning and avoid places where the ground was too soggy to support him. He ran like the wind that coursed between the trees in a forest, not thinking ... just moving.Kyrion had sat...becoming increasingly worried as time went on and the storm worsened, battering at the walls as though they could blow this grand place down, though Ky knew this was not the case...but...Sor...Sor was out in it... To hell with it...the noble wasn't thinking at all rationally at this point...it was with his heart instead of his head...something rare for him. Without so much as preparing, he headed for the door...no one questioned him, as he was lord here...and he went out into the torrential downpour, immediately soaked. He set out doggedly in the direction that Sor had left in...pleading with whatever gods there might be to let him find the other.Just on the outskirts of the city, there was a group of Deformed Children. Most of them didn't remember or care how they had gotten there, or why they were together. Perhaps it was some hidden wolf instincts that made them want to form packs. But they were unstable things, at best. However, there were a few things that could make them unite ... and a Noble, alone, just happened to be one of those things. A few of them started to shadow said Noble, easily staying out of sight in the dark and the rain. And Kyrion wasn't attentive now anyway. His mind had a singular focus, and that was finding Sor...if he could be found at all in this mess. But as twas stated before, the Noble wasn't thinking clearly... He k knew the land around here well enough to know that he was going in the right direction, but that didn't at all make the going easily...he stumbled every so often, hitting a slick patch of ground. It wasn't too long before that apparent weakness got the best of their caution. And that was likely the only way he was to have a chance ... because the two following him got impatient and attacked before the r rest of the "pack" could gather. He was initially surprised at the attack, but soon realized that the only thing he could do at best was fend them off and keep moving. He'd was thankful a million times for the dagger at his belt...it would be useful... He slashed at them if they came to close, but he had to keep going...it wasn't as though he could go back with them behind him like that.As more of them joined in the chase, they started howling ... or what passed for such among them. It was a decidedly eerie sound, halfway between human and wolf. And though nothing else got his attention like this ... that, for some reason, did. He paused, looking back, as he had just passed that section of the city. He growled softly, debating. They'd probably just caught some poor human ... but ... could he really just walk away from this?He knew...knew for a fact he'd be unable to keep them off of him. But then, nature was against him as well...too many blind spots and too many ways to trip up, which he eventually did...trip that is...and this time he was unable to catch himself. Finally, he whined slightly and started to turn away, when those howls suddenly turned from hunting, to triumphant. He winced slightly, then snarled and turned toward the sounds. Darting through the rain, he was soon back in the city, skidding slightly on the wet cobblestones. He stayed in wolf form, wanting claws and teeth ... these things wouldn't respect a human. He came around from behind the main part of the ground and came in fighting. He leapt from one hunched back to the next, slashing and biting, them moving on. Most ran off yelping, leaving only a few of the strongest and bravest ones gathered around their prey. He still couldn't see exactly what it was, other than a vague shape ... and so assumed it was human. He hoped the poor b*****d was unconcious, since he didn't want to deal with having to avoid someone that lived in the city because they'd seen a wolf.He wasn't unconscious...but a great part of him wished that he was...he hadn't at all remained unscathed, though he was fairly confident that none of the painful slashes were serious. But when his eyes rested on his rescuer...the challenger of his attackers, he thought it a very good idea to play like he was out...a wolf...a wolf indeed...he stayed utterly still, knowing that the newcomer was far more dangerous than all the creatures that had mobbed him combined. He'd lost his dagger someplace in the scramble...so yes...by all means play dead, Kyrion...It took several good hits and snarled threats on his part before he managed to drive those few off as well ... and he didn't come out of it unscatched either. Blood seeped through his fur in several places and he'd lost a bit of that fur in the middle of it. But none of it was bad, just annoying. He shook himself slightly and finally turned his attention to the form on the ground. Padding up to it, he suddenly froze. Blue hair ... oh HELL no ... no no no ... ********. Whining quietly, he backed up a pace or two, trying to decide whether to go closer or not. At least he -did- appear to be out of it. He wanted to check on him, but ...And he didn't stir, though his body throbbed...utterly screaming at him as the rain continued to soak him through. There was just enough damage for the blood to be noticable despite the downpour. He kept his eyes closed, and waited...He didn't even have to see the blood, he could smell it, even through the rain. Dammitall. He finally did go closer, still whining softly and leaned down, poking at the still form with his nose. Maybe ... he could just be a random wolf. Maybe Ky wouldn't realize it was -him-.Well that was a surprise. Kyrion's eyes fluttered open, since apparently this wolf didn't seem interested in attacking him...something it most obviously should have done considering that he was a Noble...sworn enemy of wolf-kind. He made to move and realized that that wasn't going to be at all pleasant...He realized the same thing rather belatedly ... but he wasn't about to -attack- him, and he couldn't run off now. So he just growled softly, blinking down at the other. He winced...he knew for a fact the wolves were sentient...no matter how vehemently they tried to deny it...this one was still a threat to him however, though Kyrion himself was in no shape to be a threat to said wolf. He pushed himself up on his hands with a groan, hoping the wolf wouldn't change its mind suddenly and rip his throat out. He eyed his torn leggings and one particularly deep slash that was still bleeding just above the back of his knee...oooh...walking was going to be fun...if it was even possible. He eyed his strange rescuer now...Kyrion couldn't run, he couldn't fight, and he was currently facing down a capable enemy...this was not his day.And -now- a few of those he'd driven off were slinking around again. Apparently, they'd also figured out that he wasn't going to eat the Noble, so they wanted him back. He whirled, snarling warningly. This was bad ... if Ky couldn't get out of here on his own ... he'd have to give up his secret. It would probably destroy what they had, yes ... but he didn't want to get Ky killed. He'd have given a fortune to know what was going on in the wolf's mind at that moment...though had he known he would have been utterly shocked. Why was this wolf protecting him? Was he prey or what? This situation seemed to be pretty much lose/lose.He snapped at one that edged a bit too close, snarling a single "word". "Mine!" That stopped them for a moment longer and he shut his eyes in that moment. He knew he'd have to change ... and help Ky. Or they would likely -both- be eaten before the night was out. Because he wouldn't leave and Ky couldn't in the state he was in. When he opened his eyes, he took a breath, and changed. He did it deliberately so that Ky -would- see, and would know ... It took a very long, very confused moment for his brain to register what that meant. Sor...it was his Sor...and Sor was a wolf. He had inadvertantly done what he himself had condemned at one time or another...and had taken a wolf as a lover. He found a thousand questions rising to the surface as his heart battled with his mind. "S-Sor?" He knew that the simple fact that the other had indeed revealed himself...and had not left him to die...told most of what he really did need to know...though this sure complicated matters a hell of a lot.He sighed slightly, looking just to the side of the other. Yup that did it ... so much for that. "Yea," he mumbled, then padded over to him and leaned down, helping him up. "Let's get you outta here ... before they decide to come back again."He stood with another soft groan, that leg in especial protesting. He leaned heavily on the other...strange now...knowing he was a wolf. Something had to change, but he didn't know what it was yet...but he knew, somehow, that he didn't want to give up Sor...Sor who made him feel human...the irony was most evident now...He gave Ky a moment to steady himself, then started off. It was still raining, though no longer storming ... but even so, it took them quite a bit longer than it usually would to get back to the house. He shoved the door open with a shoulder and half-carried Ky to the bedroom, setting him on the bed. He sighed slightly and stepped back. "I'll just ... go now," he mumbled, staring at the floor."Sor..." He was sure he looked a wreck...soaked through and bloody to boot, but he barely thought of his own state at the moment. He held out a hand to the other...to the wolf... "Stay?" Gods it felt like blasphemy itself...but he...he didn't want to go back to living like he had before the other had come here. Some things would have to change, yes...but...there were questions...both answered and unanswered that needed to be absolved.Having already turned to go, he froze. "Are you sure?" he asked quietly, not moving to look at him."Yes...please don't go..." Now he was afraid that the other would go regardless of what Ky wanted...The Noble was terrified of being left alone again...isolated because he was indeed just that...a Noble...He sighed slightly, shoulder slumping a bit. And turned, going back to the bed. He hesitated a moment, then sat gingerly on the edge of it, not moving any closer to the other. He didn't know -what- to do now. He wanted to just take Ky into his arms, pretend none of this had ever happened ... go back in time. But that wasn't possible, so he sat there, looking down at his hands.Kyrion scooted a little closer, "Sor...why did you come here?" He asked softly, "You can't have liked this place..." He knew that the wolves preferred nature to the humanized areas. Why did he have to pick the hard questions right off the bat? He sighed slightly, not moving away, but not going closer either. "You want to take a guess? I'm a Stray, I've got no pack ... we're usually mercenaries." Let him read whatever he would into that ... He nodded, "Mercenaries...what was your mission here?" He put a hand on Sor's shoulder, much the way he had done earlier in the day. "I'm not going to fault you for it...if that's what's bothering you.""I was supposed to spy on you. For as long as I could manage to stay ... then go back and report. Everything. Anything." He was tensed up, just ... waiting for it. There was no reason for Ky to want him here anymore ... not after tonight, after this.He closed his eyes...that's what he had been afraid of...what he'd been praying not to hear...but...some things just didn't connect...not really...that may have been Sor's mission, but... "Is that why you slept with me, Sor? Is that why you saved my life tonight?" He asked the questions without a hint of spite, sincerely and calmly. He blinked, surprised by that question. "N-no ... I ..." he trailed off, and sighed, looking away. "I guess you've got every right to see it that way. I'm sorry." He didn't even try to defend himself, and tried desperately to hide the hurt in his own voice. Sure that had been his mission ... but he'd nearly forgotten about it ... it hadn't really ... mattered any more after a certain point. The barest traces of a smile found their way onto his face, "That's what I thought..." Mimicking the movement of his hand earlier in the day, fingers found their way into hair. "If the only reason you had done those things was to spy on me...you most certainly would not have revealed the truth of your mission to me now...nor if I was still just a mission...would you have shown your true form to save me. Now all I want to know is..." He slid still closer, "Sor...do you want to stay?"He blinked. And finally did turn to look at him. Did he want ... "More than ... anything," he near-whispered, eyes widening just a bit. "C-can I ... really?" he asked, hesitantly. He wrapped an arm around him, "Yes...I want you to stay...but I also want you to be free to be what you are..." He smiled slightly, "Care to play the pet wolf?""Play pet ..." he repeated, then laughed, seeming startled that he could still do so. "Sure ... why not?" he said after a moment, finally relaxing enough to lean into that touch. "Do I get to wear a collar?" he asked, lips quirking just a bit.He chuckled softly, "It would probably be a good idea, actually..." He ran a finger down Sor's neck, "I'd hate to have anything happen to you..." The truth of that statement was evident in the simple fact that the Noble had gone out into the storm after him."I think you need to worry more about yourself," he replied. "Look who got attacked."He cocked his head, "True, true...but lucky me I have a wolf guarding my back..." He seemed to be accepting the fact easier now...there were still some...rather odd mental blocks that came to mind, but for the most part it didn't matter...it was SOR..."That you do," he agreed, turning to do as he'd wanted to for quite some time now ... pull the other into his arms. "How bad are you hurt?"He smiled, happy the other was comfortable enough to touch him now. "It could be worse...the leg is really the only thing giving me trouble." He gestured to the left...it was a bit of a nasty gash...and would probably keep the Noble off his feet for a few days.He leaned over to look at it and winced. "Ish ... that looks like fun," he muttered. "Should disinfect and stuff ... those things really aren't ... clean."He nodded, "You're probably right, but you must admit I've had other things on my mind that somewhat take precedence over such trivial things as a leg injury. However..." He glanced over his shoulder, "I think I have some things under the sink in the bathroom..."
