I got WWE Day of Reckoning 2 for the Game Cube. Looks like a nicely polished Day of Reckoning #1, which I considered to be the best wrestling game of all time. Why? The N64 games have become obsolete, the X-Box games suck, and the controller is rough to handle for a wrestling game on the Playstation. The 'Cube controller is perfect for wrestling games.
Let me get on one tangent about the X-Box, however. I cannot stand the right analog stick. I hate how every game makes you use it to move left or right. I also got MVP Baseball NCAA 2006 for the X-Box, and the new hitting system has you using that stick to hit a pitch. I understand the concept, but it's a pain. Thankfully, that game has the classic hitting mode or I'd lose my freakin' mind!

Alright most of the things I agree on. The controller is awesome for a wrestling game and seperates from things for only 1 button. But on the N64 games being obsolete. I don't agree since I for one am a huge wrestling N64 games since I'm like that. But thats not the only reason. Remember No Mercy? That's in the top 3 in my mind of wrestling games. The created guy was easy, championship mode you stay on ONE storyline instead of random people hating you for no reason, AND it has the best move-sets, match modes (( Alright they only got 3 which is Ladder, Iorn Man, and Cage, but yet they're still good. )), AND gameplay. Example I have great matches with my brother in the game no matter WHAT the match it is. In my mind. Gamecube: WWE N64: TNA Please excuse me for being unexplainitive. But its the best I can do.

I have DoR and DoR2. In my opinion, they pale in comparison to Smackdown! vs RAW and SvR 2006 (respectively). I haven't played any of the XBOX games, but I find the Playstation games much easier to play, the character creation system is greatly superior.
The only thing I like better about the DoR games is the music selection. Personally, I hate rap. No offense to any people who like rap, I just don't like it.

That owns my respect all the time!

I'd have to also say Day Of Reckoning 2 is pretty sweet. Like, R vs S has kick-a** graphics to D o R, but I found I liked playing around with the entrances more than RAW vs Smackdown! 2006 because the variety and timing of the pyro and lighting. Only the template setting really irks me.... and the gear setup.
Oh yeah, I saw some preview thing for RAW vs Smackdown! 2007 for the new PS3 coming out in a magazine. It doesn't look too bad so far.

WWE and THQ have neglected the XBOX with an actual wrestling game in my oppinion since the last decent one was WWE Raw2 since Wrestlemania 21 was the biggest glitch fest to ever be released. The create a wrestler went into almost every detail to make your CAW how you wanted it as far as the game could go of course and for the create an entrance, I spent hours of my time making entrances that jus plain kicked a** as it had options for every light as well as the custom sountrack option so you could put the right track to the entrance. Granted it has its downsides like the sluggish movement and the none existant voice-overs (because a wrestling game is always better with voice-overs). As for SVR 06, it's a damn good game dont get me wrong but it lacks in so many ways. It lacks in story (you gotta admit the storylines on both SD! and Raw get pretty boring after doing them once or twice and it lacks in re-playability, once you have done everything the only thing to keep it interesting would be GM mode. The CAW is good but still nothing compared to that of RAW 2 and im talking about not being able to top a game from 2003. Its the same for the create an entrance on SVR06 yeah there is an advanced creation option but it isnt all that advanced not compared to RAW 2. Now for DoR 2 (yes im comparing the best games on each of the 3 systems in my oppinion). The game doesnt lack much, maybe one or two things that I can think of off the top of my head and thats the story, yes its a long story and yes first time through is an interesting one but there are no other options, its just one story throughout each and every time. Other than that the CAW can rival that of RAW 2 if it were on the revolution when that is released as ive found that DoR2 tends to be slow at loading and sometimes even crash as its pushing the NGC to the fullest of its abilities. Create an entrance is also the closest ive seen to that of Raw 2's which in my oppinion is a great thing. Another thing I like about this game is the moves, the majority of the moves on the game look great, the speed which you would think the move is carried out at in real life is pretty much the same in matches. All in all I gotta say that with the capabilities of each console, the wrestling games I have mention are pretty damn good for the console they are on, yes they could all do with some improvements but what doesnt.

I really liked the create a wrestler on DOR2. it is far superior to any caw ever. but I must digress that SmackDown vs. Raw had better gameplay to me. I haven't got to play 2006 yet but I here it is pretty sweet. BTW the CAW on DOR2 is so good that I made a perfect Superman S to put on my characters shirt.

I played some DOR2....and it's a good and fun game, decent gameplay from Yukes, of course....but I felt kinda limited, compared to Smackdown vs Raw 06....
