I just finished watching this movie with girlfriend tonight and I really liked it. It's about these two girls who are the same age and have the same name: Nana. They meet each other on a train to Tokyo and fatefully meet again when looking for a cheap apartment. They live together and start to get to know each other and become very good friends. One Nana is a rocker and she has had a painful past, but with the appearacne of cheery Nana, she has opened up more and has faced her past.
The cheery Nana is struggling through life as she goes but with rocker Nana's help. She learns what it's like to live in the real world and how to deal with real problems, instead of always being bubbly and happy.
The music is amazing in the movie and so are the actors! >w< The two Nanas are sooo cute! <3

NANA!
I still haven't seen the movie!! crying
I've read a lot of the manga though~~
At first, Mika Nakashima didn't strike me as a very good Oosaki Nana... but maybe she does good? ah.. i'll have to see when I watch the movie.
I got really excited when I heard Hiroki Narimiya was going to be in the movie! Nari love <3.... also when I heard that Ryuhei Matsuda was going to be in the movie~~~ OOWAHHH... he's very good! ^_^ It seems that very good actors have been cast into this movie =]
Also, from all the pics and trailors i've seen, the guy who plays Takumi looks REALLY hot 0_0 rofl
I really like the soundtrack of NANA!
I especially LOVE Yuna Ito's(REIRA/TRAPNEST) ENDLESS STORY. Very beautiful song~~ though it is a cover =p still awesome!

I shall have to come back and do a review when I watch the movie!

I read part of the manga in Shojo Beat last month. Then I subscribed to Shojo Beat because it's the solution for the girl who buys too many DVDs to afford manga. ...anyway, I'll put it on the really long list of Asian movies I want to see. o.o

I love the soundtrack! I just downloaded the whole thing last night. >w< ENDLESS STORY is sooo pretty. Yuna Ito's voice is so nice. <3
I really want to read the manga. ; - ; I always miss it at the book store or see it too late (ie: after I use all my money on other books). But I'm determined to get it!

just finished watching the movie...
bit confused by the translation that some person did...
but still...
I really liked the film!
I already had the soundtrack to it before I watched it...
Great music...Great film!

To SingHojoSing: If you just Google "NANA the movie" you can probably find it or try Froogle. YesAsia is another option, too. ^^

[♥I am the pretty sailor-suited soldier Sailor Moon! ♥] Nakashima Mika-san was great as Oosaki Nana and Miyazaki Aoi was so cute as Komatsu Nana. I think Matsuda Ryuhei (Honjou Ren) with Ren's haircut looked a little chubby. short hair doesn't suit him. Ito Yuna-san and SAEKO were very cute! The costumes, hair, & makeup were all very well done. It was a lot like the manga, thank goodness!
I just finished the fifteenth volume of NANA! Yazawa Ai is such a great manga-ka, it was a great series. Yazawa Ai also wrote "Glamorous Sky", such a beautiful song! [♥In the name of the moon, I will punish you! ♥]

I know! I watched part of the anime. ^^ The people who animated NANA also animated Paradise Kiss, also by Yazawa-sama. (Or so it seems.) Both are done very well. :3
I agree with you Megami about the quality of the movie. The acting and everything else is great. =)
