Hello fellow RENT-heads. I dunno if it's okay for your first post to be in the music forum, but I'm horrible at introduction things.

So yeah, Contact. It was in the play, but I can see why they'd cut it out of the movie. I can listen to it over and over again though. Angel's solo in it amazingly moving.

I can definitely see why they cut it out

I would feel reeeeeaaaally uncomfortable watching that on screen

Onstage is different, since they're just moving around under a big sheet

But what would they do on screen? D;

Anyway, then they couldn't get a PG-13 rating, which means many younger people wouldn't get the benefits of Rent

I know I wouldn't have been allowed to see it

And this may sound cheesy, but Rent kinda changed my life

Yeah... like Christmas Bells, it's one of those songs that doesn't work on a screen, or in a confined space.

By the way... X3 Try listening to it with the lights off. Or in bed. Sooo weird. I nearly jumped when Collins said "It's over" at the end, because a) I was half asleep and b)His voice just comes through so clear, like it's not actually part of the song, but someone standing right next to you and talking...

Yeah, I'm weird. sweatdrop

Yeah, I could see why they cut it out. o.O After all that would have made for an extremely strange scene in the movie... Great.. The song just came on my Rhapsody player! xD When my dad and I had seen it I was like "Oshi-" because I had only seen part of the movie and listened to all of the music.

I have had this song stuck in my head for like three weeks or more. o.o So when I look weirded out I always say "I have people screaming the phrase 'latex rubber' in my head. So pleeeaseee don't bother me." Yeah then I just started singing Angel's solo outside.. My friends were impressed and weirded out.

Yeah, they think I sound like Ano Okera.. Greatttt.. It would be nice to have my own voice wouldn't it? xD Of course that makes it so I can sing in school when I so as please. *nod nod* It's actually really fun. My friend and I had a singoff contest to see who sounded the most like Angel. After quite a bit of singing in a strange broadway esque feel.. I won. ^.^ So I am proud.

But anyways..

i love that icon.

Contact is a really good song to have stuck in you head while you are riding a bike. it's really rythmic and your feet pedal to the same rythm... yea i know. There are a few songs that are really bad for that, but Contact is a good one.

This song makes me smile in one of those guilty pleasures kinda way... Whenever it comes on on my mp3 player in the cars I just scream "SEX". It makes me laugh =D

I haven't listened to it too much, but I have it. I sent it to my friend however, and she can't get over it. She's pretty much in love with that song! Ha, she just blurts out the lyrics during lunch and stuff. It's great.

When I first heard it, I was in seventh grade, and it came as quite a shock...And now, I love it. It's catchy and actually well written...Or as well written as a song about sex can be.

I can say the same thing. <3;
Rent did a lot to me and for me.

Katy and I call that "The Awkward Song"

Because when we're running around singing along to the CD it'll start and we're like, "Um... awkward!" and switch to the next one

I do have to say that I love that song, though

That icon is amusing x3

Speaking of Ano Okera... is he good?

I'm seeing Rent in L.A. in about 3 weeks

Rent changed my live too. I frequently wonder what I'd've done with the time I've spent watching it and listening to it if I'd never heard of it.

Haven't seen RENT on stage,
but I downloaded that song.
I love it.
So very much.
But I can see why it wouldn't be in the movie.

I like that song. It's so wrong of me...
But, hey, oh well!
It was stuck in my head for two whole days a while ago. It was so bad!!!
When I have songs stuck in my head, I randomly start singing them without even noticing. So there I was in art class.... Worst part is my crush was looking at me with the weirdest face. But after a second he looked at me like, "Cool.. She's singing about sex..." It was so awkward!!
