One of Malik's ears twitched to the side as he tilted his head and looked up at her. Her words of rambling confused him slightly, but he understood them in the end.
"You worry too much..." he said with a smile, standing up shaking his fur, blinking he looked at her again, tail swaying, "We will be fine." He pounced forward and shook his tail as it filcked to the side, he thought for a moment, thinking of what kind of den he'd be better situated in.

"Probably a den for myself...to be in when I get older. Possibly to share with a friend or something later on...kinda like Phib and Amelie maybe..." well that was a whole other topic to get into, but he strayed away from it again, "Maybe by water...I like water, fishing is fun..." he said with a wag of his tail.

"Where would be a good place to look for one Cassidy?" he asked, crimson eyes fixated on her, gleaming in the sunlight. He was sure even though she doubted her abilities, they would do just fine together, she would most likely know the safest place for them to find a den for him to stay in.

Malik though for a moment, pacing, he was a very fidgety pup, curious as well, who could blame him though?
"Somewhere by water....and woods...but not too far from Phib and Amelie..." he wondered if Cassidy had figured out by now Malik was getting to be very attached to the pair, they showed him kindness, and he would never forget it, not at all.

"Maybe...by a river or stream....thats by a lake maybe... but not too far from the ocean." Malik wondered if his description fit anyhting in Phib's territory, after all, he had no idea what else was in the area. Malik wasn't even sure how to construct a den in reality, the dens he had been in before were caves, or abandoned dens that were later lined with stones and sticks to have them last long. One time on his own he even stayed in a hollowed out tree.

His nose scrunched a bit, picking up scents of other things in the area. His tail swaying back and forth, he was curious and eager to find a place to stay.

Cassidy nodded her head dutifully. "Alright. Okay. I can find it. Okay. Alright.... Okay." She repeated to herself, and began to trot forwards in a direct fashion. It was only then that she realized she was walking far too fast for the small legs of the child, and steadily walked in place to allow him to catch up. "A river, eh? Can't put you on the river, or else you'll float away next time it floods. But I think I know a good place. Why do you like the river? Have you seen it? Watery, I'd imagine." She continued erratically, but she found herself having a hard time actually conversing with Malik. He seemed too intelligent for a kid, and that worried him.

"The territory is very large though- so I don't think you'll have any problems finding a place. Nope. Sometimes, I don't even see anyone. Hopefully that's not because they're avoiding me. I'm sure they're not avoiding me." Slow down, she thought, and shook her tail.

"I talk a lot, I'm sorry. I get nervous, ain't never dealt with kids before."

Malik smiled and padded up next to Cassidy, trying to keep up with her as best she could. She rambled on, he believed she was just a bit nervous, truth be told, so was he.
"Its ok..." he said with a smile, tail swaying back and forth as they continued on. "I just like water, dunno why. I'd have to fish for my mom way back when...perhaps thats why. I've always been better at fishing then anything else..." he admitted as they pressed on.

His ears flicked forward as they continued, her words spoken traveling into the depths of the pups mind,
"I'm sure they're not avoiding you...why would they avoid such a nice wolf?" He said with a smile.Eyes darting every which way. Curiousity seemed to be a strong trait in Malik...perhaps too strong.

"I can't hunt...I'm too slow..." Malik said trailing off, crimson eyes darting ahead of him as he hoped over things in his path. Phib's territory did seem quite large, but that was okay, everything would be large compared to Malik, at least for a while.
"Cassidy..." Malik said, quietly, almost as if he was embarrased of asking something, "Ummm...how exactly do you like....make a den?"

Truthfuly, Malik never took part in constructing a den, he was too young, would merely sleep in it. He wondered if it took a lot of work, and how long it would take to make. He wondered how many wolves he'd see in teh remainder of the light of the sun, or if he'd see more when the pack would gather later on. He hoped that the other older wolves of the pack wouldn't just see him as a young problem, he was mostly viewed that way in his birthpack, but not by his family. His tail swayed back and forth as he walked with Cassidy, hoping they would get near the place he had described earlier, Malik wished to see more of this area.

Malik padded behind her, watching her intently. As she climbed and stood on top of the stone Malik stepped over to it, and leaned his front paws on it looking up at her,
"Well...can I...at least help do something?" he asked with a sort of laugh. Malik would much rather be helping even with the tinyest of things then sitting around watching. He could barely stay in one place anyway.

Malik turned his head and closed his crimson eyes and his ears flickered to the side. He listened to the sounds of the forest and could hear water a little ways off. It calmed him somehow, it was hard to explain. Stories of the great lake and waterwall within the valley of legend always stirred in his mind, told in his mother and father's voice. Yet currently, those voices were beginning to fade, yet Malik would always remember the sound of water, and that would prove to be enough.

Malik then withdrew his paws from the stone and opened his eyes. Peering around with a crimson gaze his tail swayed back and forth, breath calmed now as he waited for Cassidy with a smile.

Malik followed behind Cassidy cautiously, trying to make his paws be sturdy in the slope. A few rocks under his paws curmbled and tumbled down the incline and his ears flattened against his head. This was going to be harder than he thought.
"Okay..." Malik said almost silently, trying to watch his footing. He peered a little ways down and saw a flattented piece of land with grass on it, but to get that far down they'd have to trudge there way down a couple meters, there were so many rocks in the way. Without thinking Malik kept on stepping along, but without looking where he was placing his paws.

With one faulted step Malik slid sideways, hide legs started to fall over the edge, as he now desperately pawed at the ledge before him, his hind paws trying to grip the slop. His paws were too small and claws not able to grip anything well yet,
"Cassidy!" he cried, before his hind legs slipped below him and he went tumbling over the side.

His black and gray form went tumbling, hitting a few rocky ledges that were quite sharp, he placed his paws in front of his eyes and face, tail wrapped around him as he went further. At one point he hit a rather large stone, his back and one back leg, he yelped out in slight pain and continued down until he hit the landing he had seen before with a rather large thump. He opened his eyes and looked around him, not moving, he was on grass now,the fairly high ledge before him...but...there was an indent in it before him. Almost if someone had tried to create a den, but gave up on it. Malik could see Cassidy's shadow above him, as he started to try to push himself to stand.

Breath rushed from Cassidy's throat before she even realized what was happening. Malik suddenly stumbled and started to tumble down the hill, and instantly her mind began to flash worried ideas- Oh god, I killed him! She took off with a start, running and half falling down the hill in an attempt to catch him, but already he had picked up so much speed that she was unable to catch up. It was only after he hit the end of the hill, that Cassidy realized she was running out of control as well.

Although she believed she probably deserved to plow head first into the grass, instead she leapt from the hillside, using her falling momentum as a jump and landed in a sidestep on the flat ground. Her body connected and she felt gravity heave on her shoulders, but she managed to keep a steady control. "Malik! Are you alright?"

Malik watched Cassidy start to come down the incline, with a worried gaze he watched but luckily she hadn't fallen either. Malik pushed himself up, taking a few moments to stand,
"I think so..." last thing he wantedto be was hurt. When he stood his left hind leg ached a little bit, but he tried to not show it. He smiled at Cassidy none the less, to not worry her, though his mind was telling him different, "Phib's gonna be mad..."

"I justdon't want you to get in trouble for my misjudgement..." he said walking around her to stand at her side, glancing at the indent in the incline for a mere moment,
"I'm sorry Cassidy..." he said lowly, tail not swaying and ears pressed against his head."So stupid!" He kept thinking in his mind. He wanted to help make a den, but where would a safe place be to make one? If anyone would know the answer, it would be Cassidy, Malik already found out it could be dangerous, even here.
