  Entering the ballroom there are five tables to be see, four circular tables in the corners seating four people and a long rectangular table that has been pushed off against the wall and has been made into a buffet table filled with treats, cake, punch, and soda for all the accompanying guests. All the tables are covered in light blue table cloths with white trim, as well as the chairs, the chairs also have white bows around the back. Each round table has a large vase filled with white and blue tulips in the center and a place mat infront of each chair. The curtains to the stage are pale blue and are adorned with large white glittering stars, the curtains have been pulled back revealing the instruments for a rock band.
In the far end of the room directly in front of the doors leading to the lobby are two doors leading into and out of the kitchen. To the North end of the room there is a good sized stage with movable curtains. There are a couple of steps on either side of the stage to get up past the curtain and back stage. On the left side is a Men's bathroom and on the right is the Women's.
Hanging off from the ceilings are blue and white paper chains criss crossing their way throughout the room. Glittering sparkles fall occasionally from the ceiling as a large disco ball is in the middle of it all, in the perfect space for a dance floor.

Rules for the Event
Play nice, any misbehving children will be placed in time out.
When registration for a contest begins, apply immeadiatly if you wish to participate.
If the Spirit has visited you and left you an invitation (non salem's home parents ) please come in and pick out your prize.
Children are to stay inside the ballroom.
This is a non-smoking zone, if you wish to have a ciggerette do so out side in the back or front yard.

OOC Rules
The event will last for two weeks.
After that time all freebie items will be taken out of the thread and placed into the catalog so it may be purchased if you missed out on the event.
Please be reasonable in RP contests.
Anyone is allowed to attend.

Contests and Winners
Talent Show
A small talent show is schueduled to be shown, if there is enough applicants to hold one. If not the band will continue to play.
You may start applying now.

Rules
Anyone can apply.
No prep is needed unless requested.
Kareoke is fine.
Please do not exceed five minutes on stage.
Please keep it clean. ( Burping is fine though. =D )
How this is going to work is that for each post, you are going to type "reserved", and then roll 1d10.
Afterwards, depending on your score you will type the appropriate response in the post you posted "reserve" in.
For the Talent contest, you will posts these three posts as if an rp action.
If you are playing multiple characters, they will go up one at a time, unless they are preforming together.

6-4: Mediocre
3-1: Poor

Very simple and to the point, the first to finish eating 3 cakes by the timer buzzes is the winner.

Taking a deep breath Catherine smiled as she took a seat on one of the covered chairs, watching her children play on the dance floor. Her large brown eyes wandered about back and forth watching the staff come in and out of the kitchen, stacking plates, pouring punch into the juice bowl, setting out a large tray of treats and many cakes. Catherine was dressed in a rose colored peasant blouse, with a beige colored skirt, and barefooted. Smiling she was happy with how the ballroom was decorated, it was simple, but it didn't poke it's finger at a certain holiday. She grinned happily, as she watched the disco ball twirl.
Aphrodite zommed about, excited, dressed in a simple light pink sundress and hat she landed on her mother's head giggling. "Mama you did such a nice job, did Bax enchant the disco ball?"
Catherine nodded. "Yep, he took care of the magic part of this. I guess the baby's been tiring me out a bit." She patted her belly, which was oddly protruding more than it should have been at this time in her pregnancy.
Nariko ran about trying to catch the glitter that fell from the ceiling. "FAH!" She flailed, running about barefoot, she was dressed the same simple style of sundress, but instead a pale blue.
Garreth he instead was transfixed on the buffet, in his inbetween form of dragon and looking a little humanoid. He was taller than Nariko, and pudgy, little green wings came out from his back, as well as a short almost stubby dragon tail. His skin was fleshtoned, with hints of green at the joints, his hair was blonde and in a mohawk. The toddler was dressed in simple pair of loose jeans and a nice green shirt with holes in the back for his wings.
Blinking Catherine turned to look at her youngest child. "Garreth baby, no sweets until the party begins!"
Garreth jumped, turning. He grinned sheepishly as he waddled over towards his mother clinging to her arm. "Is anyone gonna come?"
Catherine shrugged. "I dunno.. we just have to see."

Leonie scurried into the ballroom out from entrance that lead to the kitchen, being chased by one of the cooks she giggled as she held a buttered bun in her hands. The little saytr was dressed some what girlish for this event, a light green blouse and a nice pair of darker green pants. Toddling her way to Nariko she grinned at her first mate. "Nari! I got bread want some?"
Right behind Leo was Rhadamanthus, he too had stolen a few buns from the kitchen. Laughing as he ran over to Catherine, a grin on his face. The oddness of this all was that Rhadamanthus was almost a shadow of his old self, he was happier and a bit more freindly, a bit is a bit of a overstatement though. Dressed in a red short sleeved button up shirt and black dress pants, he was more than dressed for the ocasion.
"Dos lotha olplyen!" He cried in a foriegn tongue. The dark elf growled as he turned to go back into the kitchen, he had better things to do than to chase children.

A usually clear and precise mind had already become scattered just 10 feet from the ballroom entrance door. single visible eye shone it's amber hue while fuzzy tri colored fox ears twitched and caught the approaching sounds of little feet. This gave the eared one just seconds to sprint and duck around the ballroom door, tails tucked to the side, before two children sped past, their worried and fretting guardian soon following. A smile perked on the corners on black lips before eyes and graceful crania turned sharply to the left as two saytrs and their stolen loot escaped from the evil that was the cursing cook.
"Oh this place is busy!" was thought silently. Ears gave the green flag that no more children should be flying in through open doors and so the small, bushy, fuzzy....fluffy, fox like animal made her silent way towards not the adults, but the children who were intertaining themselves on the dance floor.
Slender head, long mint fur hanging over one side as if acting as bangs, was held slightly lower to the ground. Not one, but FOUR bushy mint tipped tails that were practically the same length as the animal's body, were held in a rainbow arch behind. Amber lanterns flicked their gaze this way and that, occasionally glancing towards the adults; she only recognized one person in that group. Dainty little paws did not grace the room with clicks of nails or any sound at all, just served their purpose of carrying the fox from point A to point B. Children were Verdandi's joy, not bustling about with adults, despite her being one.

Nariko giggled as she took a bun. "Tankies Leo!" She munched turning around, she blinked staring at Verdani. "Oo.. pretty." The toddler pointed towards the kitsune.
Garreth blinked as he toddled his way towards the stage, staring up at the stage filled with instruments. "Hehe." The halfdragon looking boy giggled.

Constance walked nervously into the ballroom carrying a small bundle of wiggling fur. Merhdad didn't seem to want to settle down today, and she guessed it had something to do with finally getting to meet some of the other children. "Mehr," she crooned, seeming highly practiced in keeping a grip on the thrashing child, "Calm down before...I eat you." Connie laughed tickling the manticore on his stomach.
Mehrdad purred as his mommy tickled him, and he stopped wiggling. The manticore let out a rough sigh and thought, 'Mommy so funny sometimes, I only want to run around and pounce on things.' He mewed and licked her hand, knowing that this would make her ease up a bit and he could scamper off. It worked everytime.
Connie laughed and cuddled her child. "Aww, Mehrdad, you know that works every time." She made her way over to a table and sat down in a chair. Constance was very nervous of meeting the other parents. She just hoped she'd make a good first impression.

Mehrdad suddenly squirmed and lept free from Constance's arms. He shakily padded over to the small bat boy, not quite used to his own paws yet. "Merow?" Mehr mewed, cocking his head and pointing towards the bunny. He wanted to know where the boy got it and if he could play with him, but Mehrdad had no idea how he could make the bat boy understand.
Constance's eyes widended as the young manticore wiggled free from her grip. She had a sudden thought that he would hurt himself leaping from her lap, but when he landed on his feet, like any cat would, she was slightly reassured. Standing and hurrying over to him, Constance appologized furiously, "Sorry about Mehr. He can be a slippery little one."

Mehrdad blinked a few times as Aladon attempted to mirror his question. An odd coughing, purring sound erupted from his throat that one could only assume was his laughing. Mehr smiled and tried to see if the boy would do it again, "Merow?"
Constance shook Kanilea's outstretched hand, "That obvious, huh?" She laughed, her nerves calming down slightly. "I'm Constance; Connie for short. And that is my little Mehrdad. To tell you the truth, I don't think I'd ever expected being a mother this soon, but...now I'm so attatched to the kid." Smiling, she looked lovingly at her son.
