1. What was the first FF game you have ever played? Final Fantasy VII. The first one I watched before playing many years later, though, was Final Fantasy IV (FFII on the SNES, US version)
2. Where did you learn of the FF series? My brother. I used to watch him play videogames all the time (come to think of it, I still do...but it's those games that I'll never be able to play cuz I'll die in the first level...like...Metroid Prime)
3. Which character is your fav and why? Oh...boy....*will go through list* I have FF Origins, but I haven't been able to play it yet (since I'm playing FFX-2, and my golden rule is to never play 2 RPGs at once), so I'll just start off with the ones that I've finished:
A note that these may contain spoilers if you haven't played the games yet. If you don't like spoilers, I suggest you skip to #4
FFIV (FFII, SNES US version) - Rydia, in her older version. Why? Well, as a child, she was suddenly thrust into the real world having her entire kind killed off...and I kinda felt sorry for her. Sure, she may have been annoying as a kid, but when she returned as a teen, I guess you can say all the hardships that she had faced matured her into the young woman she was at that time.
Plus, she's a fairly strong summoner and black magic user and was always the person [with the exception of Kain] to actually survive if I happen to find my entire party almost dead sweatdrop
Edge was just, hilarious. A ninja pervert, what else can I say?
Kain is my last of the favorites in FFIV. I mean, I literally felt sorry for him. It's not his fault (well, mostly not his fault) that he was manipulated and he's just forcing himself at the end of the game to somehow make amends by erasing his existence from the world for the moment....*coughs*
FFV - Hmm...'tis a hard one since I really didn't have anybody that I actually liked in this one...but Galuf was funny ^^. Faris was awesome. I mean, who else can be able to trick any guy that she's not a woman? wink
FFVI - Shadow was the first of the "mysterious" characters that I bonded with. I dunno, I kinda lean towards those guys who are the dark and shady type for some odd reason...
FFVII - Tifa. She was the first female fighter who was...well, strong. Plus, I like martial arts, and I'm a big fan of Cloud/Tifa pairings...even though I don't like Cloud (strange, yes...but true).
Vincent was the 2nd of those "dark and shady" characters after Shadow. You can't help but think, well, Hojo deserves to be dead...and Lucrecia should've went to him! *shakes fist*
FFVIII - Squall is well..um...my fangirlyness coming out xd (and that's not often). Plus, his gunblade's really cool. And well..um...I'll just stop right there.
Rinoa, amazingly, is also one of my favorites in this game. Yes, like many, I had at first thought her to be annoying and rather obnoxious at times, but when her character started to develop to reveal her true self as someone who was just as self-conscious as Squall (especially after she found out that she was a sorceress), I could relate to her. I guess I find that somehow in every one of my favorite characters.
FFIX - Vivi was SO CUTE!!! He was just so cute running like a penguin down the streets. Couldn't help but feel sorry for him when he was pushed around. I mean, never, EVER mess with a Black Mage.
FFX - Auron was actually the only character that I liked in this game. Maybe it was because he held that calm demeanor that nobody else could hold. Plus that sake bottle of doom...that was a cool overdrive. And so you could never tell if he was drunk or not sweatdrop
FF Tactics - Mustadio I liked because he was useful. I mean, hell, he had a Gun and was the first person to wield one in the game before your chemists could. So, you could shoot almost anywhere in that game.
Agrias was also a strong female character. She's loyal to the princess at first, but more to herself as the story developed. Plus, if you changed her to a Holy Knight with a 2-Sword ability you gain from a Ninja, then she's unstoppable on the battlefield. Well, as long as the monsters don't cast Death on her sweatdrop
FFX-2 - Paine, definately. She's got such a badass demeanor, and doesn't want anybody to know her past even though bits and pieces get revealed to a big picture at the end. 3nodding
4. Which FF did you like the LEAST? Give a reasonable explanation.
FFIX. Mainly because there were so many damn references to FFIV, which really pissed me off (yes, I'm a big fan of FF4). Plus there wasn't as much as a character development as in say, FF6 for example.
5. Do you consider the un numbered FFs (Like Tactics and Mystic Quest) to be part of the FF series?
Well, I'm not quite sure about Mystic Quest as I haven't played it, but Tactics definately. I mean, FF12 is going to be set in the same world that Tactics and Tactics Advanced is set in...just in a different time period with different people.
6. Which FF storyline (nothing else matters) did you like the most and why?
Hm...that's a toughie. Despite how much I love FF4, I actually like FF7's plotline the best. Mainly because you really just don't know what's going on, especially in Cloud's delusional brain of his. Plus Sephiroth was the first evil, evil bad guy that I came across...before Kefka that is ^^.
7. There are some characters in the FF world that most ppl do not like to use in battles. Are there any that you actually do like to use, even though most everyone else does not?
Hmm....well, I'm not quite sure on that. I usually rotate my characters every now and then so that they're pretty much around the same levels, but in a final boss fight towards the end of the game, I'll resort to my favorite characters...if that makes any sense.
8. Which FF games has your favorite way of leveling up (meaning, levels, spells, stats, eveything)?
Ah...hm...good question. I don't know sweatdrop
9. Rate this survey from 1 to 10, one being the worst, ten the best.
I'd say about a 7-8. There's some pretty good questions that needs to be put into a lot of detail and there aren't any stupid questions as to "what do you think is the best FF of all time" sort of thing, which is good. 3nodding

FFVIII
2. Where did you learn of the FF series?
I saw it in a store and just bought it whee
3. Which character is your fav and why?
....Tifa from FFVII cause she's basically the only female in all the ff games ((from what I've played)) that didn't die so quickly 3nodding
4. Which FF did you like the LEAST? Give a reasonable explanation.
FFX-2, the story was alright and so was the graphics, but the music and dialouge sucked bad stressed

I don't know, i've never played them sweatdrop

FFVII, it was probably the most exciting one 3nodding it had alot of twists and mysteries in it, making it quite enjoyable whee
7. There are some characters in the FF world that most ppl do not like to use in battles. Are there any that you actually do like t use, even though most everyone else does not?

8. Which FF games has your favorite way of leveling up (meaning, levels, spells, stats, eveything)?
FFX, it was way more fun then the usual number level ups 3nodding
9. Rate this survey from 1 to 10, one being the worst, ten the best.

1. What was the first FF game you have ever played? Final Fantasy Eight. My brother got a PS1 that Christmas and I used it more than he did smile
2. Where did you learn of the FF series? From some friends of mine on the internet, when they heard of my FF8 binging they started hampering me to buy FF7, so when I had enough moneys, I did.
3. Which character is your fav and why? I'd have to say Aerith, because not only is she a lot like me, but I even look the part almost.
4. Which FF did you like the LEAST? Give a reasonable explanation. FFX-2, because the battle system was far too fast for me, I didn't like the cheesy dialogue or the girly theme, and worst of all, the got rid of Blitzball!
5. Do you consider the un numbered FFs (Like Tactics and Mystic Quest) t be part of the FF series? I don't mind Tactics, in fact I find it kinda fun, but the part that really got to me was when Delita's sister was killed. That was far too disgusting to me, just because of her rank... I couldn't bring myself to play too far beyond that.
6. Which FF storyline (nothing else matters) did you like the most and why? I honestly can't choose...
7. There are some characters in the FF world that most ppl do not like to use in battles. Are there any that you actually do like to use, even though most everyone else does not? Hmm... In FF6 I try to use everyone and get them to learn every single spell from my espers, in FF7 my main party is Aerith, Cloud and Yuffie, and after Aerith dies she's replaced with either Vincent or Tifa, in FF8 I use Squall, Rinoa and Selphie, in FF9 I use Zidane, Garnet, Freya and either Vivi or Eiko, and in FF10 my main party is always Auron, Yuna and Rikku.
8. Which FF games has your favorite way of leveling up (meaning, levels, spells, stats, everything)? Once again, I can't chose...
9. Rate this survey from 1 to 10, one being the worst, ten the best. 8.

1. What was the first FF game you have ever played? Final Fantasy on NES...I thought it was too hard, so I played Dragon Warrior IV instead. sweatdrop (come on...I was like 8...)
2. Where did you learn of the FF series? Umm...I had friends who played FFII and FFIII on SNES...and then when Playstation came out I heard about FFVII. But I guess I heard about FF from my uncle, who game me his NES.
3. Which character is your fav and why? Cid. Because he's awesome. lol...I mean...he has a massive spear, awesome pilot goggles, and an Airship. What more can you want? (Cid from FFVII that is...I tend to like the ones in other games too...but I guess you couldn't tell from my username. xd )
4. Which FF did you like the LEAST? Give a reasonable explanation. Oh man...I don't really know. I liked them all so much...ah...except FFII (the Japanese one). Yeah. Played on FF Origins. Stopped after the first five minutes. I hate the level up system...it's not a level up system at all. stressed
5. Do you consider the un numbered FFs (Like Tactics and Mystic Quest) t be part of the FF series? Not really. I see them mostly as spin-offs. The numbered ones are the series.
6. Which FF storyline (nothing else matters) did you like the most and why? Man...tough choice...so many great ones...I would say FFVI because of the characters that make the storyline. They are so wonderful and well-rounded. Not only that, but the plot is awesome. The espers are great and Kefka is the best baddie. No contest. Even though I despise him... xp
7. There are some characters in the FF world that most ppl do not like to use in battles. Are there any that you actually do like to use, even though most everyone else does not? Well...I seem to use many unlikeable characters. sweatdrop Aeris...Tifa...Selphie...Zell...Quina (on the occasion)... I think that's about it.
8. Which FF games has your favorite way of leveling up (meaning, levels, spells, stats, eveything)? I simply adore the sphere grid. I think it's such an awesome idea and concept...I wish it was implemented in every game. xd Having the ability to customize any character to do anything...and even have a mage deal over 9999 damage. That's just freaking awesome. The only one I really hated was FFII... scream

1. What was the first FF game you have ever played? FF7
2. Where did you learn of the FF series? The FF7 commercial looked so cool! xd I still remember parts of it. ^_^ Thank goodness my memory isn't that bad.
3. Which character is your fav and why? Vincent's my favorite character because he's dark, mysterious, previous turk, looks like diablos when transformed into chaos (diablos is my fav summon/GF), has the perfect appearance, fights for a gallant cause, wears a cape, is the closest thing of a human resembling a vampire, uses guns(next best weapon to swords/blades)
4. Which FF did you like the LEAST? Give a reasonable explanation. (I've only played 7 to 10-2)Um... I'd have to say FFX. The storyline is really confusing, and it's just not appealing to me. The graphics are done really well and all, but it just has something about it that I don't like.
5. Do you consider the un numbered FFs (Like Tactics and Mystic Quest) t be part of the FF series? I consider them not apart of the series because it does not have a number like the rest of the games, the battle system is different and the objective is different too. However, if you asked me whether they should have the FF name on them, then yes because the graphics and characters are similar to those in the series.
6. Which FF storyline (nothing else matters) did you like the most and why? FF7 because the characters were really believable and they sucked you into the storyline. Each one had their own background, their own problems to face. It's like they're they're caught up in a much larger problem(save the world), but somehow they manage to learn and solve their own problem along the way. I would say there's a lot of character growth that intertwines with the storyline, and that's why I like it the best.
7. There are some characters in the FF world that most ppl do not like to use in battles. Are there any that you actually do like to use, even though mostly everyone else does not? Um... Aeris?
8. Which FF games has your favorite way of leveling up (meaning, levels, spells, stats, eveything)? FF7 had it all. FF8 was just too realistic for me, it had the SeeD leveling as to gaining money, and the remodeling weapons - which I didn't like. FF9 was great, but I like FF7 more. FF10 was again, confusing, because of the sphere grid system. The chocobo riding thing was just as weird too. X-2 was extremely odd with the dress spheres.

1. FF4.
2. My sister borrowed the game cartridge from a friend.
3. Mog from FF6 because his 1337N3SS surpasses my own.
4. Of games that I've PLAYED, FF8 and Mystic Quest are tied. Mystic quest because you can kill the end boss by castig "cure" twice on him AND there's no damage limit[I did over a million damage to him once], and FF8 because first of all, it's impossible to get ALL the summons because they didn't release the Pocket Station in the U.S., and second of all the abilities system was T3H SUXX0RZ.
5. The unnumbered FF games, and also including FF8 and ff11, don't count in my opinion.[FF11 has no single player that I know of.]
6. I like the Final Fantasy VI plotline the best because it's about EVERYONE in the group, not just the main character.
7. I tend to have GOGO in FFVI, Both Summoners in FFIX, and anyone that ISN'T a Blue Mage... I HATE BLue Mages.
8. FFVi, definatly. I loved the aspect of Espers being able to be summoned only once per battle[Makes the game more strategy oriented] and one could have everyone learn all the spells in the game easily. Also, since you can switch out EVERYONE, it made leveling up at the Dinosaur forest that much faster and easier. The Jem Box was my favorite.
9. 7.5

1. What was the first FF game you have ever played? The origional FF for Nintendo
2. Where did you learn of the FF series? It was in our game collection when we had Nintendo and one time oh so many years ago I picked it up, but never finished it cuz it was confusing..lol but I was like, 7. Then My friend intoduced me to FF7 and I was hooked.
3. Which character is your fav and why? I have lots..lol Tifa- I just liked seeing a girl using raw power unstead of a stupid stick *cough* Cloud- well, he's just cool. Vincent- Also, really cool. Sephy- by far the best bad guy ever. You spend the whole game getting to know him and hate him, yet you have to love him..lol
Squall- hes sexy...lol and one of my strongest characters Selphie- she's cute and spunky
Rikku- she reminds me of myself a little ^__^ Auron- again, just really cool Lulu- lol she's kick a** Paine- She reminds me of Lulu...lol
4. Which FF did you like the LEAST? Give a reasonable explanation. FF9 because I never really got to like the characters (except Vivi, he's cool) and the battle system and trance royally pissed me off. Also, I wasn't very fond of the storyline.
5. Do you consider the un numbered FFs (Like Tactics and Mystic Quest) t be part of the FF series? Of course
6. Which FF storyline (nothing else matters) did you like the most and why? FF7. I was totally hooked the whole way through and I can play it over and over. Its so...origional and full of fun stuff and surprises (s'mon! Cloud cross dresses!)
7. There are some characters in the FF world that most ppl do not like to use in battles. Are there any that you actually do like t use, even though most everyone else does not? that's hard to say. It really depends on who everybody thinks are those characters. The ones I never use if possibe are Cait Sith, Aerith, Cid, Rinoa, Irvine, Quina, Armarant, Eiko, Dagger, Wakka my parties are usually: 7- Cloud, Tifa, Vincent/Yuffie 8- Squall, Selphie, Questis/Zell 9- Zidane, Freya, Vivi 10- Tidus, Rikku, Auron
8. Which FF games has your favorite way of leveling up (meaning, levels, spells, stats, eveything)? FF7, by far. I love the materia, although it took a while. But I hated ff8 with the drawable magic. So yea. FF7
9. Rate this survey from 1 to 10, one being the worst, ten the best. umm, 7. Its pretty good.

1. What was the first FF game you have ever played?
FFVI, followed soon by FFVII (I bought that for PC; I didn't have a PSX).
2. Where did you learn of the FF series?
VI was pretty ubiquitous among the RPG gamers of the time.
3. Which character is your fav and why?
Out of all the characters in all the games? Tifa. She's got so many motivations, so many rationalizations, so many perceptions both valid and veiled... she's certainly the most real, desperately so. I empathize with her mad hardcore, even if I don't truly identify with her.
In a sense, Lulu is a redux of Tifa, so I'll throw her on the list as well.
4. Which FF did you like the LEAST? Give a reasonable explanation.
VIII. The numbers didn't crunch well, in my opinion, and the story and characters were constructed of cheap, overrecycled cardboard: barely one-dimensional.
5. Do you consider the un numbered FFs (Like Tactics and Mystic Quest) t be part of the FF series?
Absolutely. MQ is iffy, as it wasn't originally intended to be in the FF series, but as for the others, we have to take the bad (Tactics Advance) with the good (Tactics).
6. Which FF storyline (nothing else matters) did you like the most and why?
Definitely VII. VI had the best characters, but VII was story through and through, and it was one hell of a story. Layers upon layers, like an ogre.
7. There are some characters in the FF world that most ppl do not like to use in battles. Are there any that you actually do like t use, even though most everyone else does not?
I pretty much cycle everyone evenly. I tend not to use Shadow or Relm quite as often as all the other characters, but for the most part, it's even. Especially in X, what with mid-battle switching. heart It's awful to watch me play X; I switch everyone in to do something for even single-flan random battles.
8. Which FF games has your favorite way of leveling up (meaning, levels, spells, stats, eveything)?
VI's Esper system; VII's materia system; X's sphere grid. Also notice that those three games have the blurriest class systems.
9. Rate this survey from 1 to 10, one being the worst, ten the best.
9. I'd like to see more in-depth questions, but then again, not everyone's up for that.
