Welcome to Manitoba! From Churchill to Winnipeg! Here is a place for all residents from Manitoba to come chat about their Province! Not from Manitoba? Not a problem! If you want to learn more about the Province, what better people to talk to than the residents themselves!

Hey! I'm from Winnipeg! I've lived here for my whole life, and that would be 19 years...err..something months, and something days.
Anywho, the Junos are here! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get tickets for the actual Junos or the Fanfare. *tear*
Next time, I guess...when I'm 30 or so.
Have you guys managed to get any tickets?

Heyo, another fellow Manitoban, me. I'm a former resident of Winnipeg, Dauphin, and currently reside in the Bible belt of Southern Manitoba.
The Junos sound fun, but as an out of towner, it'd be a real pain getting in and getting tickets etc. Looking forward to wandering the downtown and seeing what they've done to it for the Junos though.

They sold out in like...16 minutes. I guess I'll wait for next time. 10 years or so, probably? I hear that the Juno Fanfare tickets are sold out, too.
Bible Belt of Southern Manitoba? Durr...how's that going?

Eh....Bible-belts are interesting places. Ours is mostly full of Mennonites, with some Hutterites and a few other Protestant denominatios thrown in for fun.
Yes...This is the place where children are not allowed to take biology in high school because of the evolution unit, we have daily prayers at school, and our Christmas concert really is a Christmas concert, with hardly any Santa involved.
It is actually a good place though; fairly low crime, pretty friendly people.

For McMurry is located here right? (I'm sure I spelled it wrong and I apologize) What's it like? Is it true that you can sometimes see Polar bears in the street??
