My English class has been studying Sonnets. Anyone have a good one to share that they enjoy/wrote themselves?
Here's a sonnet by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, In Italian form.
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when I feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and Ideal Grace, I love thee to the level of everyday's Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight I love thee freely, as men strive for Right; I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise I love thee with the passion put to use In my old greifs, and with my childhood's faith. I love thee with a love I seem to lose With my lost saints I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life!-and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death.

William Kirby's Montmorency is a favorite of mine. You should be able to view it here. Enjoy.

i wrote one too!!! He is the perfect guy; like Adonis His face lights up with his perfect smile I once had a dream where we shared a kiss To see him grin I’d run a mile Oh! He’s walking with me in the hallway He comments me on my “rad” boom-box purse Damn! The bell rang. I have to walk away As I walk to class the bell I do curse But he is a butterfly I can’t catch I know he will come to his senses I know he’ll understand I’m his true match He will let me get through his defenses Now that I know him better then before I realize I like him more and more i wrote it about this guy that doesnt know i exist...
