Mozelle continued on a little faster once she realized that the male had followed quickly behind her. Faster and faster she ran, exhilerated by the wind rushing full-on through her neck fur, unaware that she could possibly have been leaving the other behind. She was merely used to long days running through deep snow when Kapu had still been with the pack. He often led them on tours around their territory, binding together all that occupied that simple plot of land.
And suddenly a swatch of wind leapt at her face, causing her to squint her eyes slightly. But that didn't matter. Her head was cleared, and she felt like she could run on forever with Gareth trailing a little bit behind her waving tail. Things had seemed to have gotten so much better since the day before then. It was absolutely astonishing.
But eventually the pads on her paws detected a great change in the soil. Instead of hard and compact dirt, she found her paws sinking down slightly in something soft and quite moving: sand. Wary now that she was on unfamiliar ground, as Mo had never stepped in sand before, she continued on, though slower this time around.
Then she finally heard the footfalls of the one behind her cease and stop. However, she didn't quite notice and so almost crashed head on with a wave. It was her keen senses and lightning like reflexes that had allowed her to snarl and leap back right before the wave crashed down upon the beaches. Her heart pounded on her ribcage like never before.
Turning her head to attempt to peer at the brown wolf, her tongue hanging out of the side of her maw in a pant, the female felt her paws being soaked in some sort of liquid. The sea, most likely. Not quite liking her feet being wet, she pulled away and ventured closer towards him.
But she remained silent, ears perked slightly as she listened to the crashing waves. It was strange, but she felt like she couldn't speak.

The female narrowed her eyes in a glare as the water seemed to go after Gareth as well. Was it so cowardly that it had to throw its whole weight upon the beach at the two wolves? Growling again, she rushed forward, as if going in for some sort of amubush or attack. But then the sea lashed out angrily at her, and she instantly thought better of it.
Resigning herself to the mighty strength of the vast waters, Mo instead turned her attention towards the other. She laughed along with him when he spoke about how angry the waters seemed to be, and her laughter only increased when her violet eyes caught his toes. They seemed just as soaked as her own.
"So the water got you too?" she chuckled, settling down beside him on her haunches but then immediately jumping back up. The sands felt too strange on her rump, and so she preferred to stand. The stinging smell of salt hadn't gone away quite yet, and so her nose also twitched randomly now and then, as if trying to ward off the strange smell. But still it remained.
And suddenly she felt a strange sensation overcome her body. It was quite frightening, as she hadn't felt that in a long time, and yet it was still comforting, because she remembered what had come out of the feeling the first time it had come around.
Blinking slightly, the femme glanced over towards Gareth. Her tail twitched slightly and her eyes flashed something magnificent. Whether he would catch it or not, however, she couldn't quite predict.

She watched with amusement as he seemed to uncontrollably bounce about and stir up some sand. She had never believed him to ever be able to express such happiness, as earlier on he had seemed almost afraid to show feelings other than fear. But here Gareth was, prancing about like a little pup, cute and delighted as can be.
Wagging her tail slightly, the female once more to sit down in the sand. This time, she was glad to find, the sand wasn't so uncomfortable as before. So with a smile plastered straight on her face, she sat down and continued to watch him.
But now her heart rapidly sped up in its beatings, yet this time the ocean was not the cause of it. Instead, it was something else, something she felt she knew, but couldn't be absolutely sure of. A moment ago, she had believed herself certain, but now she simply couldn't be sure. Auds flicked randomly as her brain attempted to sort everything out, but with no success.
"Yes, so many things.." she echoed, her eyes clouding over slightly as her head bowed slightly and her gaze fell to the ground. What was happening?
Nodding afterwards and pulling her focus up from the ground and up towards the horizon, Mozelle blinked. "Very salty," she agreed, her nose scenting the air once more as her tongue tasted it slightly.
"I've never known so much, felt so much..."

The female smiled, but only slightly. It seemed that Gareth almost always knew what to say, or perhaps he didn't. But then, it was also very adorable the way he seemed a little confused all the time. It was better for him to be that way, she thought. Most males went strutting about, attempting to show off that they knew every little thing down to the last itsy-bitsy detail. Males like those annoyed her, and that attitude only seemed to get them in trouble. But with this one it was different. He didn't try to be something he wasn't, even if he might have wished he had turned out different for his father's sake.
And then something hit her about what he was saying. 'Us' and 'we'... not 'me and you' or anything of the sort. He was grouping them. Uncertain of what it might have meant, if it really had any meaning at all, Mo's heart began to race. Blood pounded in her ears, making them flinch back a little.
"Us?" she finally echoed, though it was more blurted out than a real statement or question or whatever that she had wanted to say. It sort of... slipped. Her violet eyes flashed something, showing more of curiousity than anger or anything at him having used that word.

Mozelle frowned slightly when it seemed that he had read her question wrong. She hadn't meant it in a mean way, like 'why are you using us, don't do that' or anything. That wasn't what she had meant at all! Hoping to perhaps catch him before his mind convinced itself, she spoke quickly.
"Nono, it's quite alright really," she said, smiling warmly at him in hopes of assuring the poor male. "I was being more inquisitive. I don't mind if you use us." Her tail began to wag slowly as she spoke, her mood lifting a little higher as the moments passed on and as she spoke with Gareth. For some reason, she found his presence comforting, and she didn't think she'd want to part with him too soon. Perhaps they could find dens together, like, have them be somewhat close? But Mo wasn't sure if he would want that... she wasn't quite sure of herself, actually.
Feeling troubled now, she frowned again and glanced back up towards the moon and the stars that were its companions. She wanted to say something about Kapu, but thought that that would somehow upset the other, so she remained quiet.
Instead, she felt herself blurting out other words without so much as her mind's own consent. "What will you do now that you have found your father?" Leave? Stay? Find someone to settle down with elsewhere or here? There were too many options.

Mo merely smiled as the male spoke out to her question. It was as if he read her mind and thought the same, the way he mentioned how he would always remain loyal to her and that he'd be terribly sad if they ever did part one another and went seperate ways.
Suddenly overwhelmed by the similarities in their thoughts, she closed the distance between the two and buried her face in his neck fur. She didn't know why she did it, only that it felt good to actually have someone there for her, who really and truly cared and wasn't afraid to follow her anywhere, no matter where their paths would lead.
A moment later it seemed, though it was more like a minute, the female pulled away, her skin hot under her thick fur as her ears pressed backwards in embarassment. Only yesterday had she met this one and already this! Too forward she had become, Mozelle believed. But that didn't matter, at least not now.
"I would be honored if you'd followed me," she spoke calmly and quietly, almost feeling as if that if she spoke to loudly, the earth would shatter and so would the unbelievable feelings.
Yet when her mind suddenly sprang back to Kapu, she couldn't help but look down at the sand, her violet eyes once again overcome by sadness.
"Kapu.." she whispered, her head seeming to sway with the breeze. "Though it pains me to say, I don't think I will ever find him." Saddened eyes trailed up towards Gareth's face. "I appreciate you offering, and I think I will take you up on the offer if I ever feel the need to go out searching for him again." Her tail whisked back and forth quickly, though still slightly. She was happy, but then those delighted feelings were mirrored by loneliness and depression.
"But," she suddenly blurted, her mind randomly thinking of a scenario. "What if I do find him?" Her mind reeled. "Kapu has never been quite so kind to males who stayed in my presence for too long.. what would he do to you?" Suddenly her eyes clouded. Losing Gareth was the absolute last thing on her mind. And she felt it might hurt him more than her.
Now troubled, Mozelle whimpered and sank down into the sand, her eyes still clouded as they gazed unseeing at the ground.

Mozelle sighed as she let her eyes wander up towards the male again. There were too many things that had the possibility of happening, and she couldn't seem to keep track of them all. If Kapu didn't come back, she'd most likely spend all of her time with Gareth. But if he came back... what would happen? Would he chase off Gareth? Would he ignore the brown male because he was so submissive? Would he even come onto these lands, he himself being an alpha and having been taught all his life not to enter others' lands.
Too many options, too many possible outcomes. She shook her head, attempting to clear it. Thinking of the future and not of the present often left her feeling down. It was best for the female to just take things as they came.
But she had to help the male in some way. "But, if he does come back, I promise to help you in every way possible. You don't deserve to get pushed away so rudely and suddenly." And she meant it, and would hold herself up to that promise.
Then she let her eyes wander as she slowly rose to her paws. The sand felt comfortable now that they had been there a while, and she was actually enjoying the strange feeling. Her gaze fell on the upcoming sunrise as she moved herself next to Gareth. A small smile crept up upon her features as she saw the first glimmer of sunshine peaking over the horizon.
Suddenly she pressed her side against his, the excitement overwhelming her. Never had she ever really stayed still to watch the sunrise. Normally, she had been assisting Kapu with pack business. But now she was free to do as she pleased, and she couldn't have been any happier that she was sharing this with Gareth..
