I'm kinda new here, so I apologize if a thread similar to this has been done before.
Is it okay for an overweight girl to be attracted to skinny guys? I'm fairly heavy, and for some reason I've always had a thing for skinny guys. Of course, I've liked big guys too (two of the guys I was crazy about in high school were big), but in general, my eyes get drawn to the smaller ones. Is this wrong? I've always felt kinda guilty about it, but should I? Should I not allow myself to be attracted to them? Should I limit myself to big guys, because I'm big?
The reason I'm asking is because not too long ago, someone really jumped down my throat for it. On livejournal, some of my friends were jokingly posting a "perfect guy" list. So I made one myself, and one of the traits I listed was "kinda skinny". A guy on my friendslist that I had talked to a lot, and confided in about my size (assuming he was really my friend), posted a comment saying "If you want a skinny guy, go on a diet. You're crazy if you think you can have a skinny guy and be fat." I was really hurt by this, but it also made me think that maybe he was right, and that I had unrealistic tastes.
What do you guys think?

I think it's perfectly fine. Hell, everyone has different preferences. That's why this guild was made. To support those who do. It doesn't matter what you're into, it'll be accepted here.
I used to be shy about the fact that I like big girls, but since finding this place, I've just kindof come to terms with it. It's always good to know there are people who will accept you, and even share the same interests.

And two... if skinny guys can like big girls, big girls can like skinny guys *nods* There's nothing wrong with that at all! Trust me wink

Yeah, I realized after that incident that he was no friend. We haven't spoken since then, and I don't plan on speaking to him again. I thought it was needlessly cruel. Whether or not it was true, he didn't have to point it out in a public journal. I had to delete the comment.

But.. I'm all over the map. I like anyone, any size.. so long as they have an attractive personality. (:

Of course it's not wrong for you to like skinny guys! You're going to like what you're going to like, and no jackass should take you down for it. He says it as though every guy out there cares about appearances the most, when some guys (amazingly) don't care too much.
Personally, I prefer larger guys and I'm a large girl. But that doesn't mean I can't be attracted to skinnier guys as well. ><

Science lately is temperature conversions. Celcius to Farenheit, Celcius to Kelvin, Farenheit to Celcisu, Farenheit to Kelvin, Kelvin to Celcius, Kelvin to Celcius to Farenheit ..................@.@

aww no girl its perfectly fine. I am a big girland i find smaller guys kinda cute. But i like all types of guys. But it doesnt matter that you are big and attracted to smaller guys. And dont listen to that guy i know people who are together big female thing/skinny male and they are perfectly happy together. That is your preferance so dont let anyone think that you are wrong. Cause your not its your choice not theirs just ignore those types of people.
