Band Room
(The band room door opens up into a small hallway. To the left is the instrument storage room, to the right is the main room as well as the director's office. The main room is a large, twenty by twenty foot room with about a twelve foot high cealing. There is percussion equipment tucked away to the right, and a line of six, individual practice rooms on the left. There are chairs and music stands set up in an arc before a podium. Behind the podium is a whiteboard. There is a dor to the right of the back wall that leads into another room with individual desks set up infront of a teacher's desk with a stereo on it and another white board behind it.)
Letter to all Band Students:
Dear new band student,
Welcome band student to the Midori Kaizen band. This program is set up to teach you about the wonderful aspects of instrumental music and improve your skills and yourselves through an instrumental discipline. We offer instrumentation of a symphonic band, that means no strings. Our percussion equipment is quite sufficient. All percussionists will be required to know how to play all percussion instruments, including bells and key board instruments(such as the Xylophone).
Winds will be required to know their instruments' fingerings and notes, and must be willing to improve as all students are expected. You are expected to keep your personal instrument in near perfect condition and blatent disregaurd will not be tolerated. Respect your instrument.
All students required to learn their Major scales and arppegios. If this is completed we will move on to Minor scales and may even do something more interesting(such as a blues scale). Percussionists must learn all drum rudaments and know them as well as their scales. They must also know how to tune the Tymphani.
As we grow in people and skill, we will open ourselves to playing much more intricate and exciting pieces. I hope that we will be able to put on a concert sometime this year.
Your hard work will be greatly appreciated and I welcome you all to the Midori Kaizen band.
-Band Director Koroji Nagenami

Koroji walked into his office, dropping down into his chair infront of his desk. He looked at the pictures around the wall, remembering his High School band. A tear came to his eye. He loved those days. He had so many friends back then, but he hadn't talked to a one of them since college. How aweful, he wanted to find them so badly. See how they were doing.
Thos old times were amazing. Marching and Symphonic band changed his life. Amazing... He loved it so much, even if it was so hard. "What I wouldn't give...

----> From Hallway
Walking quietly into the band room, Elizabeth looked around. She walked over to the instruments and started looking at them, touching them gently. Looking around to see if anyone else was in the room, she wondered if this was allowed. She turns and walks back to the door, still looking around. "I guess I'll leave. It doesn't look like he's in here." She said to herself, disappointed.

He stepped out of his office, looking at who had entered. "Elizabeth? Whatever are you doing here? It's far from four o' clock, Shehan-san. Can I help you with anything?" He looked confused, but this look also demanded an explenation.

Startled, Elizabeth let out a small yelp and dropped her books. She turned to face her teacher, bowing deeply. "Gomen nasai Nagenami-sensi. It's just I didn't have class yet and I thought I might be able to find you and ask if I had to do anything official to change my schedule. I saw the letters on the door, and wanted to look around. I wasn't trying to mess anything up and I wasn't fully sure if I was allowed in here." All of this came out in a rush as she continued to bow and kept her eyes looking at the ground.

"N-no, it's alright." He rubbed his face groggily. "I was just, working a little. Anyways, um, you should go to the Main Office. They have all the schedules computerized and if you don't change officialy, you'll be counted absent fromt he class you dropped, and that would lead to some dire consequinces." He shook his head.

Elizabeth looks up hesitantly. "If you will excuse me Nagenami-sensi, I will head to the main office now. I'm sorry to have bothered you while you were working." Elizabeth bows deeply to her sensi again, gathers up her books and walked to the door, bowing again before she left.

He shook his head. "Good luck, Shehan-san." He stepped back into his office. "Such a sweet and innocent girl. Theft, huh? Hm, cryin' shame. Hm, I wonder if Hitsuga-san would allow a marching band. It is a differant form of discipline and usualy easy to work up. Hm, interesting idea. But what should the theme be? Hm..." He sat back down at his desk and hummed away one of his old marching shows as he looked through stacks of CDs to find an idea.

Walking back into the band room for the second time this day, Elizabeth continued to mutter to herself. Remembering what happened last time, she called out "Nagenami-sensi! I know I'm a bit early, but I'm here for Music Theory. I went to the office and changed my schedule just before this." Looking around, waiting for his response, she sat her books down, and explored the room a bit.

He opened up the office door. "Goodness, you are early. Class doesn't start till eight, you know? Well... fine. You can come in here if you want. I really don't feel like walking all the way to the Theory room and back." He held the door open for her to come in.

"I'm sorry Nagenami-sensi, I've just been wandering around campus, getting my schedule changed and such. Man, I didn't realize that secretary was so rude. Music theory is held around here isn't it?" As she talked, Elizabeth gathered up her materials and walked into her teacher's office. "I hope I'm not talking too much Nagenami-sensi, and don't feel like you have to put up with me being in your office. I'm willing to sit in the classroom and read over the text." Chattering on, she walked into the office and sat down in a chair.

As soon as Elizabeth sat down, her demeanor changed. Going from calm to rigid, she dropped her books and started shaking. Her eyes closed, hands tightened into fists and jaw clamped shut. Turning red, she fought not to scream. She slid down onto the floor, hitting her head against the teacher's desk as she fell, curling into the fetal position. It was evident her condition was a result of the shock she recieved from her collar. The one thing she said before she lost consciousness was "I...should've...gone...to gym."

"What the HELL!" He rushed down to her side, almost tripping over a stack of files in his packed office. "Elizabeth! Elizabeth, what's wrong!?! Damnit!" He got up quickly and got on the phone, calling infirmary. "Hello, this is Koroji Nagenami, I have an emergency in the band room."

Elizabeth twitches in her state of unconsciousness, hitting her head against the desk again. A tiny bit of vomit comes out of her mouth as she coughs. Half waking up, she makes a small pained noise. Her eyes are still shut, muscles still tense and curled.

He moved over, phone still in hand, rollinger her onto her side so that she doesn't choke on her vomit. He then takes a cushion from the couch in his room and put it behind her head so she wouldn't hit it anymore.
