Kayne had decided to take his jogging off campus this fine muggy night. As he jogged many things cycled through his head methodically in time with his feet, but never staying on one subject for too long. It was when he realized that it may start to rain at any moment, that he decided to turn and head back. It was getting late and there weren't many people out and about as most were nestled inside the various restaurants, bars, and clubs getting ready for some late night weekend fun. He was still several blocks away from Aquila when he felt the first drops of the rain. Quickening his pace he pressed on. Almost to the campus he noticed a familiar figure walking slowly in the same direction, weaving a bit. Raising and eyebrow, Kayne made a beeline straight for Jess.
"Sensei," he smiled, placing his hand on her shoulder and spinning her around.

Jess had been gingerly making her way back to the campus, cursing her choice of heels when she heard the warm Irish tones and the hand on her shouldder. Spinning round she gave him a wide, slightly wobbley grin. "Shaidey." She cried happily. Before realising what time it was. "What are ya doing out this late?" She asked a puzzled expression crossing her face. "Shouldn't you be in bed?"

"Oi, you're one to be talking," he grinned. He noticed immediately the glazed look in her eyes and the way her words slurred together. This was too good to be true. He would never let her live this down.
"Anyways, I couldn't sleep. Too much going through my head, so I decided to go for a little run," he replied, his eyes moving slowly down her tastefully sexy attire. He never would have guessed she even owned clothes like these. It was then that the sky opened up and began to pour heavily down on them.
"Nice," he smiled sarcastically, looking up. He then looked back down at her and gave his head a bit of a shake. "I suppose I ought to walk you back to campus to make sure you don't float away," he said, giving her his lopsided grin.

"Me." She asked pointing heavily to her chest. "I am an adult and quuuite intitled to be out."
She winced as it started raining. "******** perfect." She cried, she really, really wasn't dressed for rain, her silk top was going to get ruined. Not that she really cared, what with her state of inebriation.
"Float away?" She asked stumbling a little. "Why would I float awa..." She was cut off as her heel slipped into a crack and caused her to go wobbleing into him.

Kayne blinked rain out of his eyes as he caught her against his chest. "See what I mean Sensei? It's already starting," he grinned, gently setting her right again on her feet and trying really hard not to notice the way her blouse clung to her body. Slipping his arm around her shoulders, Kayne started walking in the direction of the campus.
"So who were you out with tonight?" he asked conversationally, keeping his eyes peeled for any obstacles that she may not notice right away.

Jess braced herself against his chest and pushed herself upright, finding her footing once more. O.k, so that was embarassing. Laughing a little she allowed him to help keep her upright with his arm around her shoulder. "I was out with Chiyo chan." She said, in an almost sing song fashion. "She is in charge of astrolologyy. Or however you say it." She waved her hand is an off center dissmissive gesture. "She's fun. Though I think she thinks I'm strange. I'm not strange am I?" She asked glancing up at him through her rain flattened hair.
Jess was in that happy realm of drunkeness where world war three could have broken out in front of them and she still would have been smiling and making jokes.

Kayne snickered a bit at her attempt to say Astrology and listened halfway as he directed her around a planter that was outside of a store. They were almost there. He glanced down at her odd question and tried not to laugh at the drowned puppy dog look she was giving him.
"Strange? That would be an understatement Sensei," he laughed, giving his head a toss to get his drenched hair out of his eyes.

Jess gave him an annoyed look and slapped him half heartedly on the chest. "You're soooo mean." She said, frowning. "But you're warm so I forgive you." She giggled a little as she almost tripped again and tried desperatly to focus on where she was going.
God, she could hear what she was saying and knew she should be acting with a little more decorum around a student. Yet she couldn't stop herself. Damn the umechu.

Kayne looked down as she lightly hit him and chuckled at her words. When she almost tripped again, he pulled her closer to him, fitting her easily against his hip. She felt warm as well.
"You better be careful Sensei. You're about to find yourself eating sidewalk here in a minute," he grinned as they turned into the gates of the school. Looking up again, he glared at the sky.
"Why does this place always have to rain?" he asked rhetorically.

"I don't know." She sighed as they walked through the gates. She was getting that drowsy feeling and unconciously rested her head agaist his chest as they walked. "I'm sure it rains more than Wales."
She gave a pout. "Itsnotfair. I tried to make my hair nice and not it's going to be all ******** up and frizzy in the morning."

Kayne raised an eyebrow when she rested her head against his chest. He couldn't help but think of how nicely she fit against him. He laughed deeply at her complaint. Despite what she wanted to believe, she was such a ******** up and frizzy? And that would be different from any other morning how?" he teased. Her hair had looked very pretty when she had tamed her wild locks. Now it was a wet mess trailing down her shoulders and back, but he thought it still looked nice. They approached the dorm steps and Kayne stopped for a moment, eyeing them carefully. He wondered how well she would be able to handle them.

"Exactly." She cried negotiating the steps carefully. "I manage to sort it out and it has to ******** rain on my ******** perfect hair." She gave a heavy sigh as they reached the door. "Stupid bloody rain." She muttered. "Look at my top." She said stepping away from him and doing a muddled spin into the door. "******** up too."
Pausing, she leant against the door and smiled sheepishly. "Sorry I swear a lot when I'm drunk." She admitted. "Veeery un layydee like."

Kayne did glance down at her top at the invitation and grimaced a bit.
"Uh... Sensei... You might want to re-situate your top a bit," he said, averting his eyes down to his shoes. The soaked shirt was sticking to her in a not so discreet fashion.
"And uh... don't worry about the cussing. I'm sure I'm much worse when I've had a few," he grinned, grabbing her arms and pulling her away from the door. He pulled it open and let her go so she could walk in by herself.

Jess looked down at his mention of her top and turned almost as red as the top itself. "Uh, god." She muttered turning and sorting it out. The whole incident helped sober her up a notch. "Sorry." She mumbled out of embarrassment and allowed him to lead her into the dorm entrance. "Shhh." She said clutching his arm. "Please don't tell anyone you saw that." She whispered as quiet as people do when drunk as they walked past the sleeping rooms.

"Shh.... Sensei," Kayne whispered, putting a finger to his lips. They walked past his room and on to the stairs. He knew that teachers lived on the fourth floor. She had managed the front steps fairly well, but he knew he wouldn't be able to stand the thought of her getting seriously injured by falling down the stairs if he could have been there to prevent it.
"I'm going to walk you up the stairs. Don't you dare argue with me," he whispered quietly to her. He put a hand on the small of her back and gestrured for her to lead the way.
