So, lately there has been news of a possible Kingdom Hearts 3. The known facts that are possible is that this one will have nothing to do with Riku, Sora, or Kairi. Known rumors are that it'll be the same base plot, but without the characters of Riku,Sora, and kairi. I personally think these are false. For one thing, creator Nomura knows how many fans of these new characters are. Do you think he'd create a game of Kingdom Hearts without its returning characters? The story evolves around Sora and his friends. Making the whole thing new for a new Kingdom hearts would ruin our view on the game. Everyone is so used to the characters now and adore them.
What are your opinions on this topic and the rumors? Do you want a KH3 without Sora and the gang? Do you believe the rumors? Give me some feedback!

First thing, I love your signature biggrin And second, it they took out Sora, Riku and the rest, then they would be ripping out he very seams of the story line pillow if you will. If you remove them, wouldn't it just make their triumphs and friendship for nothing? I mean Riku and Sora find home once more with Kairi and then....that's it? No more on them after so long? What of Roxas and Namine? They played big parts in the second game.
The third one, maybe it is the three of them and that Nomura guy is just yanking our chains. One can only hope! gonk

The third game would have to end the Roxas and Namine situation, because I doubt that can go on forever, and since they got a message from the king at the end of the game I doubt that they are going to cast new characters.
And besides, I really want to see Sora and Riku even older.

I hope the rumors are false. I definatly want the possibilities of a KH3 ,ESPECIALLY with the origonal characters.

I really don't think changing the characters would be riping apart what holds the game together.
The Keyblade, the darkness, the light, the heartless and the nobodies are truely what holds the game together.
I've been thinking about it, and I think it'd be pretty cool to have a fresh set of Keyblade Masters fighting againt the darkness.
And if they do give us a new set of characters, they could easily cut Disney out of the project.
Think about it... If we have the old cast of characters, then we'd HAVE to have Disney.
But given the tone of the secret video, I don't see how Disney could fit into it. It was pretty grim.
With a new cast of characters, we'd have new companions, who might even be human, as opposed to Duck and Man-Dog.
It's an interesting possibility, to say the least.

With the way the game ends --> (Sora takes a letter from Kairi that was in a bottle. It was from the king. He must be sending THEM on a new mission.), they just HAVE to be in the new one.

Kingdom Hearts 3=Hell yes. No matter what. heart Even if it doesn't have the original characters in it, I know it will be good.
However, I would like for it to have the original characters in it, to clear up some stuff. Like Roxas and Namine, and the fact that Sora doesn't know about what happened in Chain of Memories. PLUS, the enigma of Zexion. ninja

I think Jiminy's journal said he was defeated, from what I remember. But it said that for all the deceased members.
