Let your confidence be in God...
Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them.
And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
Luke 12:22-26 NIV

Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: "He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us"?

"LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered, and that my life is fleeing away.
My life is no longer than the width of my hand. An entire lifetime is just a moment to you; human existence is but a breath."
We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. We heap up wealth for someone else to spend.
And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.
Psalm 39:4-7 NLT

Thanks be unto God for His wonderful gift: Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God is the object of our faith; the only faith that saves is faith in Him.
An Eternal Weight of Glory
All of these things are for your benefit. And as God's grace brings more and more people to Christ, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.
That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are quite small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever! So we don't look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.
2 Corinthians 4:15-18 NLT

Jeremiah 20:11 (New King James Version)
But the LORD is with me as a mighty, awesome One. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail. They will be greatly ashamed, for they will not prosper. Their everlasting confusion will never be forgotten.

Revelation 22:20
He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
I like the eternal promise made to us that Jesus is coming back for us. It helps me when I think of all I have lost and can lose within my short life time.

The only thing that helps me through my tough times is knowing that God is just testing me to see if I am ready for the next step.
A verse that has helped in the past: Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. Proverbs 22:15

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called accordinig to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:28
This verse has helped me stay faithful through so many hard times and has proven true over and over again.

Here is a verse that has some controversy only by its mis intepration
Written by David, one of my favorite psalm writers.
Psalms 139:23-24 Search me oh Lord, and Know my heart Try me and know my anxious thoughts And see if their be any hurtful way in me And lead me in the everlasting way.
Don't think this verse means in any way that " I am holy their fore find me clean" I recite this verse in moments where my heart is not in the right place or my mind is distracted with sinful thoughts. Its spiritual warfare and it helps clear my head when I'm not thinking straight. I have never ever said it with the idea that I am pure and holy.
Another one that really isn't the most encouraging is
Psalm 25:11 For your namesake O Lord Pardon my Inquity, for it is great

This isn't really a verse, but it is something that reminds me that He's always there when we need Him, we just don't really know it.
A man was walking along the side of the ocean he was having flashbacks of his life, for he was on the brink of dying. Once the flashbacks ended he looked behind him and saw TWO pairs of footprints. One was his own he knew, and he knew the other was the Lord. There were spots where there was only ONE set of footprints, that was when the Lord was carrying him through his hard times. He had wondered about that a few minutes before figuring it out. But he eventually did and saw that they were the Lord's footsteps next to his. The Lord carries us in our times of trial, and he lets us walk on our own the few steps we need. But when we need Him and He knows it He will be there to guide us.
This had been many chain letters before, there are two versions of this but this one I hear the most, thats why I can type most of it by memory. I herd it and the other version at Camp last week, they were both touching for me since I knew that they are and were true. The Lord God does carry us at times, we just need to learn when the time is right to give him the pen so He can finish writing out our life.
