Forgive me all, but I just would like to say, I am not a big fan of the new stuff. I have LARPed for about 6 yeard, and a lot of history gets built in that time. So odd crap was done in the new junk. I still Preffer 3rd.

But I am willing to listen to others. Anything good any of you care to share about the new stuff?

I have a strong distaste for Requiem because they bastardized the 8 dot system, the disiplines and made Brujah a minor bloodline of thugs and criminals.

I've read all of them... and I have fallen in love with the Dark Ages, but I don't understand The Requiem. And I love the Masquerade, because it's the only one I really know. Lol.

Yeah, I don't really think anyone even likes Requiem. There are only about 5 mainstream clans, the Toreadors are a bllodline, and half the clans in the Masquerade apparently don't even exist. Seriously, what the hell is a Mekhet?

My favorite is probably Dark Ages, because there is a lot more oppurtunity to get a power base, and then bring a character into the Masquerade as an Elder, Justicar or whatever comes to mind.

I actually like Mekhet and Deva... they are the only two good thing about the game.

OK, I can understand that, but I mean how restricting the game can be. With only five clans, and really crappy disciplines, theres not much to be done.

I actually had a thought for a new version of V: tM --- set it in the Roman Empire era. Of course, there will be some clans that don't exist (Tremere and Giovanni, along with some minor bloodlines), but I thought that would be interesting. Catch is, the players can be no lower than generation 8, because Vampires are still relatively new to the times. So, what do you guys think?

I'd say classic VtM is the best, but Dark Ages is very fun too, especially set in Egypt or London. I also like Colonial American set VtM...

The New world of Darkness is okay, but Requiem blows. I've taken a liking to playing horror stories, with the players all being mortal. That's fun.

I concur, Requiem does blow. I have an idea: lets go set requiem on fire! It'll be just like Nazi Germany, except with, well, vampires and fictional creatures instead of much of the population of Europe.

Everything in the New world of Darkness is nothing but fiction made by Kindred in order to force the Kines attention from what is really going on.

There is nothing to fear my fellow Kindred we of the Ventrue are keeping our kind safe. Bare with us.

I tried Requiem twice and I can say i don't like it one bit.

How could they get ride of the Malkies crying and in spite of what people may say covenants don't make it up at all. scream

Lol I've actually been involved in a dark ages game which is set during the Roman Period (yes i know the dark ages and t bronze age where completely different time periods) about 50BC and we've been jumping forward in time to witness some of the greatest events in history. It was basically just the dark ages rules with a few modifications. But it’s been great fun and not difficult to rum by the looks of things
