I know we have a sticky regarding to fanfics, but I thought that this would have been sucked within the thread... Dx
Anyway, I need help with my fanfic. It's not really a plot problem (although I AM having a tough time trying to put the story on the correct track) but I AM having a dilemma with a certain character... KHII character spoiler ahead, hence, the white-out.
In my fanfic, Ansem is the father of Cloud and (adoptive-wise) Sora. Problem? I started the fanfic BEFORE KHII, and before I knew that "Ansem" was actually Xehanort. So how should I go about changing it without revealing spoilers for my European readers (who have yet to play it)? Should I just wait to edit it? Should I change his name completely? I'm not sure what I should do-- what's your advice?
Anybody else who wants help with their fanfics is free to post as well...

Maybe have a character use it as a nickname, or something similar to that? I've met people who have gone by their Middle name before, so try to use something similar to that! :3

I think you should just leave it be. Have the fanfic be based off the first game instead of the second one. I see those all the time. By the way, that fanfic sounds really familiar. What's it called? Is it the one where Sora's parents die so he has to live with his mom's ex-husband (or something like that...) and Ansem makes him do a ton of work like a slave and then Kairi wants to take him to a Halloween party so she dresses him up like a girl. And then at the party, his step-brother, Cloud, sees him, so Sora runs outside really quick, and he ends up meeting Riku. And he looses his glove!!!! Right...? Is it that one? confused

A huge precentage of Sora-Crossdresses fics make little or no sense whatsoever... The easiest ways to do it are as a Halloween thing, or a dare. Extra background is not needed, and tends to only mess it up. So please, for the love of all that is keybladey, keep it simple!!! @_@"
