This is mainly pertaining to seniors or section leaders, or anybody else who has the same opinion.
Does anybody have any incoming freshman that are just plain evil. I know our band has a class like that coming up in two years and the kids in it are evil and very vindictive. The rest of that class is just as mean. The sixth graders are actually getting suspended from school for months at a time for actually beating up kids, teachers, and stealing from everybody. But the band kids are slightly mellower than that but I worry that the band will all together be gone in a few years because of the new kids not taking an interest and not having the maturity to be in band.
just wondering if I am the only one with that problem.

I hope there won't be any evil clarinet freshmen next year, because I will be the only (mature) senior, and I'm having serious doubts about my leadership ability as it is. But we are the clarinets, so I think we'll be fine.

*shudders* Oh, we've got this evil little drumemr coming up name MArcus--aka"Marcus the Carcas". Nobody likes him. He literally thinks he knows everything (exept of course that's stupid, but no, he's MArcus, he cna do it.) Im not a senior, I'm a freshman, but I do not look forward to actually ahving to deal with this kid next year. He was in the PIt for marching band the past two years--and it is not going to be fun having to deal with him for another three. ANd I mean not fun like he might not survive. ALhtough, I will admit he is a good drumemr, which is good because most of our drumline is seniors, and they're graduating, and we are so tiny...(about 60) But that might not be enough to stop the lynch mob.

sweatdrop We don't have any incoming band members that mean or anything, but we get a few annoying ones.
The only things I worry about with the incoming freshmen are if they'll be able to survive our band director's awesome power of being a closed-minded, high-headed jerk, and if they might be better than me. xd sweatdrop

the only incoming freshman we had a problem with was this kid kyle who we called gumby because he would not stand still at attention. he was also a very loud player and had the worst tone and sound. unfortunatlly we really can't complain, our band is tiny so every person we'll take.

There's this evil freshman girl who I can't stand. She's in my section (clarinet) and is such a brat. At one football game she was just talking smack about my mom, dad, and my boyfriend right in front of me. Now I understand a few times is joking around. But she kept at it the whole freakin night. When we got on the bus she hit me in the face with her hat. So I pushed her and started cussing her out in front of everyone. I was so pissed off. And the teachers think she's some sort of holy child. All I know is, since I pushed her, she's stayed away from me.

I am going to be the low brass section leader next year for my band, and as far as I can tell, the freshmen I'm getting are going to suck majorly.
And we only have two decent upperclassmen, myself and another trombone player... all the others, well, suck.

I'm a Freshmen this year and we don't have anyone like that in our grade.
But, in two years, the Freshmen coming are really snobby. All the girls talk about is make-up, the guys brag about everything, and none of them can play for anything.

I'm a freshmen this year, but last year certain 8th graders played with the high school band (mostly me and my friends), and I believe it was last year that we had the 6th-8th(middle school band) peeps come over, and they had this one saxophone player that I couldn't stand, he wouldn't do anything that we normally do in our show, and acted like he was above everyone else. I haven't seen him since, but I hope he doesn't show up. But it'll kinda be better for him to come next year, and maybe quit before I hit section leader year after next, so I don't have to deal with him sweatdrop
That's my ranting for the day. Hope you can understand my horrid english! xd

The Jolly Glomper High five to the male clarinet player! I'm a chick alto sax and if it weren't fot me'n Melody, the our sextion would surely have sextionals in the guys bathroom... Same with myself. I was one of two female alto saxes this year (one of the Juniors was drum major, wo0t!). It was funny, though, because all of the saxes were behind the band room hanging out by the porta potty and making weird chords, and since my friend was gone that day, I was the only girl among like ten guys... Awkward. xd
I am a freshman this year, but one of the cool ones (I am actually not in the freshman class for band; they let me in the better one xp ), but there is this one trumpet who is a complete jackass. He was trying to buy my phone number from my ex. neutral

I'm also an incoming freshman this year, and I know that most of our class isn't sucky at all.. most of us are pretty good. I'm really worried about next year, though. If the freshmen suck, I'm going to be very angry with them. scream
